One issue I found is when attaching photos to and email. If you attach large photos, it will refuse to add more than 5 or 6 saying the attachment of too large. But then you can choose to scale down the photos so this limit does not apply. Would make more sense to have a warning that the attachment is too large but let your still attach more photos
NEW UPDATE: I just got a Pixel 6 Pro with Android 12. I've discovered a lot of issues that Aquamail hasn't corrected. First, backing up the settings is a joke. At least ⅓ of the settings are missed and finding the missed ones is a nightmare. And the settings that seem to be missed by the backup, may not have been missed. They may not work. Combining these issues definitely decreases Aquamail's usefulness.
Since godaddy changed their email to 365, adding a new account to aquamail leads to the app showing all emails as unread (several thousand). Even though it only downloads the last 25 to the device, it appears there's no way to mark the rest as read. I paid for pro and this is pretty annoying obviously. May have to look for a new mail app.
The 'promo signature' can only be removed by paying for 'pro features'. Having the power to actually write emails, with a signature I choose, is something I won't pay for. Disappointing, considering how nice the app seems otherwise.
a good app and easy to use but far too many adverts, and the adverts are far to big and imposing on the screen. If the price was more reasonable I might consider an upgrade, but what you're asking is extortionate for an app that people will only use to check emails.
I've used it for years, but, it's getting worse as time goes by. Notification settings don't stay in place, email isn't checked in the background and I must open the account of interest and refresh. What gives.
Continue using this app. Very happy, but would like to see some new features. Example: Can you show the sender's email address in the inbox preview view, without having to open the message?
Used to be reliable and ads were a little less frequent but emails do not send out, email does not sync, ive stopped getting email alerts, ads are near constant. Moving on to a new third party app.
Keep coming back to Aqua Mail after trying different emails. One suggestion...I have 4 emails which work fine, but when I delete them, is there a way to mass delete all the emails in the deleted folder at once instead of going to each individual email account? Other email apps have that.
Just realized it cannot search by sender. That seems like a big miss. It also fails to search by keyword or does something I don't understand. One day I had to search for an order from Target. Using the keyboard Target got me a lot of emails including spam. So I tried to search on the word "order" and the results were a lot of messages that did not contain the word "order" that I can tell.
Badge still not working properly on phone all other apps report correctly. Surely can't be Samsung issue when all other 3rd party apps work. Reported months ago and still no fix. Follow us Advertising at the bottom of the menu for paid users. Really? Remove this for paid users! Focus your time on fixing the bugs instead.
It's ok, but major fault is I only sometimes get notifications sent to my phone so I keep missing important emails, so I've had to uninstall it. If you don't mind going into the app to check if you have emails then it's fine.
Paid a bunch of money for Pro. When clicked on pro app icon, was told that aquamail was not installed. Not true-It was installed. Went to support site. Tried to make support ticket, but was thrown off because I had an invalid version #. The number I used was the one I got from the app about>version info. Then tried forum. Tried to register but that didn't work either. Just returned me to login which I couldn;t do because I wasn't registered. This app and this developer are ripping me off. and I don't appreciate it!
Great app and I've been using it for years (pro version), however, recently I've noticed that even though I've deleted the email from the app, the mails would come back on the list after refresh. Seems to happen only to Gmails, and not G-Suite emails. Both are using IMAP. Bothers me that I now have to use another app to use Gmail and AquaMail Pro for all others. Any solution?
Great app. It's my favorite. For many months now I have been having problems with Aqua Mail locking up/not responding for long periods of time after hitting the three dot ... button to expand lengthy previous content when replying or forwarding. It's bad enough that I will get three, four, even five Android warnings that Aqua Mail is not responding, giving me an opportunity to wait longer or to terminate it. I sometimes have to terminate Aqua Mail, because it is unresponsive for so long.
Junk mail continually goes to my in-box and when my junk mail folder is empty it always tells me there is mail in there even when everything has just been deleted. The last update is causing all junk mail to go to my in-box. And for some reason, it now takes a long time for a simple email to download. Very frustrating.
Finally an Android email client the supports a signature per alias, not just per account. I had to pay for it though, but when you are the only game in town.... The interface feels a bit cluttered. It is highly configurable, but configuration usability is a bit cluttered. That is my only knock on it.
update as I have used A.M. over 5years now: I was using this more than a year bfore I realized it was my go-to. really, mostly complete settings&options I've never had need to go elsewhere.... truly, this is an essential buy. pro version simply completes the app experience and well worth purchase. automatically filtering incoming emails into subfolders is something I'm still waiting for.. however, all other thinkable options are already in settings. thanks for aquamail ! very very satisfied...
Have had this email client for 4-5 years and used Pro for 2 accounts and it has worked flawlessly. The individual account's color background makes it easier to identify which account the email is from using the Smart account. Have tried other highly regarded apps but in the end this is the best. Highly customizable and highly recommended! Still the best and HIGHLY customisable to your liking or using the defaults are mostly perfect without having to do a deep dive right away.
Sometimes, when I open an email from Drafts, finish it and send it, after a short while it disappears from Sent folder and goes back into Drafts. Sometimes the message doesn't reach the recepient in this scenario. Sometimes it does, but there is no way to check it through the app.
Please add the Assistant Request feature, so the app could be launched using the Android native function (long press Home button). I've been using it as such for years but implemented through Tasker. Thanks!
The app could do with Unsubscribe & Report Spam options, as well as a Purge Before (Date), excluding entries marked Keep. Otherwise, good.
Garbage. This is one of those companies that still does automatic upgrade and renewal. I will NEVER consider doing business with this company again. The app itself is nothing special. I was testing the app for a email client change. Nothing in the app seems sufficiently new, interesting, or surprising. This means the grief involved in change does not provide enough new or import functionality to justify the change.
Was really good but since the update when I reply to messages sometimes the message text disappears and other times it changes to plain text. Very odd. Edit: AquaMail got back to me and helped me correct the issue. It was an issue with the Samsung keyboard.
Reliable, constantly updated, customizable, just working :-)))) If you have IMAP folders to sort out your mails, this actually shows nice tree-like structure you can traverse, I still have to find another app which does it better...
Aqua Pro is decent at $20, but hasn't been updated in ages. Instead, users are pushed towards an app that is updated, but costs $30 per year? That's a bit... Excessive for an email client, isn't it?
The best allround mail app in the playstore. Been using this app since 2013. Hasn't let me down yet. Using it for 2-3 accounts without any issues.
Advertisements have become overwhelming and beyond tolerable. They don't allow you to continue with mail for extended periods.
very efficient (awsome) way to all your emails into one place , yet choose which account to read. Very handsome layout . I really like it. 😜 elsie
EXCELLENT APP! I have used this app for a long time and it great! I downloaded it urgently to resolve a frustrating bug in the Samsung Email app that Samsung just would not fix. Aqua Mail quickly became my standard Email app because it was so good. It works perfectly. No problems ever. No delays. No slowness. Easy to configure and personalise. It just works beautifully. New versions always provide lovely extra features.
