In order to get the best results, hold the camera in an upright position when you walk away from the tree. Don´t point the camera to the ground. Try to stand some distance from the tree and have a good view of the top of the tree.

Works, but getting the initial tap to register is hard, and after that if you are slow walking to where to sight the top of the tree, it will time out and give you a wrong measurement
Only gives you a few tries without putting in your email. I don't know if that will give you more chances. It should give you at least 20 tries so you can figure out what you are doing wrong- uninstalled...
Had hoped for ability to export saved height recordings (eg. To an excel/.txt doc). Any plans to provide this functionality? Would save duplicate entry in surveys.
I just tried to get it measure in the house and measured the doorjamb height and it told me I was out of measurements because it counts every time you click on it.... I might be fine but I'll never know because I'll be damned if I buy something with out knowing if it works! But thanks for memories
First time user. Found extremely simple to use. Video instructions email very useful. Follow up instructions via email also helpful. This is one app I shall keep on my phone. The originator obviously cares about the customer. Top marks. Highly recommended.
Question: Where is the option to purchase a subscription? No clearly identified in the physical app or the Google Play window for AR Forest. As tree farmers, so far, we recommend this app before any other similar apps. Further what separates this app from the other tree measure apps is the technology the AR Forest app is built. Also, the Aboreal website is helpful but could a bit more work to make the site more interactive, not sure what to recommend, or if this option is available in the Wordpress web design arena. As we embark on our 2020 Colorado Blue Spruce inventory, and use android devices (phone) to measure, do our work, the trunk diameter function only available for iphone Apple devices is not available for android phone devices. There is a note about this in the website that says the function is to be available in 2019. We did email John about this today. Hopefully we will get answers to our two questions about subscriptions and the trunk diameter function.
Recently there are few bugs, it is creating problem in trunk mark and some times the app hangs.cannot exit without clearing from recent app drawer
Metres accuracy consistently. Needs option to delete saved trees though.
I like the app and went to load it on another phone and was definitely disappointed not to find it.

Like having the option to get an approximate measurement - is the $6.81 a one time fee or every time I use fee?
May work well. But not for home use if you want to measure a few trees if you have to pay.
In guest mode camera doesn't 'mark base of tree'!!

Great little app, very simple and seems pretty accurate. Obviously proper surveying equipment would be more accurate, but it would also be much more expensive and difficult and unnecessary most if the Time. Would be nice if you could measure diameter and make lists of the trees with notes.
