Arcadium - Classic Arcade Space Shooter

Excellent controls. Fun to play. But progress is slow because every time you die you have to go through the first easy waves for a while. You could grind gems to skip these levels, but level skip is meant to limit grind. I bought a ship to support the dev, it got much easier, but I still had to slog through the early waves. I wish in app purchases where only to unlock further levels, "pay to continue" instead of "pay to win". I'm not mad, just a bit disappointed,it ruins the fun for me.

It's pretty rare for me to rate 5 stars but well, it's very subjective so that s our choice after all, and the retro-pixelized looking gameplay and interface is very efficient on me... Add to that the increasing difficulty (so hard to survive until the last wave and finish the ultimate boss!) and it s enough to keep me play again and again. I dont recommand for those who dont have time to waste, otherwise you will not finish your tasks schedule...

Decently fun space shooter with a few big issues. Upgrades are too pricey for the no. of gems you get while playing; the game should be more fairly balanced in this regard and I'm not paying $$$ to rectify this. Some waves of enemies are impossible to clear without certain upgrades. Furthermore there's no clear explanation for many things in the game, instead you have to figure them out yourself (what the f*** is "pick range"?). I'd highlight more but I'm limited to 500 characters. 3/5★ at best.

There's a slight problem with Tyche's ability, it says you get piercing, double damage, drones, missiles and invincibility but the missiles don't appear when picking the emerald clover which can be a problem when reaching elite levels, also what happened to the one life option for one game? An option to customize the ships like colors or effects would be great. (Can be in the masteries pannel) The rest is perfect.

Prefer this to 2nd one hands down. Keep working on this, the 2nd one has really difficult movement and you just get surrounded, feels like you don't get many options to escape, this one is so much better.

Excellent blast of retro gaming. Takes a lot of time to get enough points to buy the add-ons needed to progress properly, but it's a great game to grind through!

Great game (especially if you liked Galaga) This game is a lot like classic arcade games (Galaga, Raiden Project, Space Invaders) and has many upgrades/new ships to unlock. NO ADS which is great & there are some in-app purchases but the game isn't pay-to-win as you can unlock most things with gems (currency earned in game). I highly recommend this game and will be playing for a long time!

Pretty fun simple game Play it when you wanna just stop playing elden ring or dark souls for a moment's This can be a lil addicting game tho Like the original space shooter it's simple and great as it is There aren't any ads and it has some pretty fun boosters and different varieties of ships and stuff pretty fun game I personally like it Yo I like the fact that if you see the developer is Italian yet use some Greek and Romain names to name the ships sheesh this is wholesome if I can say :>

most likely the best retro game I've played in a long time, especially as a mobile app. It's great at combining old-fashioned-retro-style with modern day entertaining game play.

There's no school like the old school! Excellent controls, cool music and sound effects, awesome gameplay, and great retro visuals all add up to a superb good time! Plus, there are a load of different ships to choose from, each with unique abilities! Honestly, I didn't expect ARCADIUM to be this good. I'm glad that I was wrong. It's waaaaay better than I was expecting! Excellent job devs!

its a classic shoot-em up game but better. there are a wide variety of ships you can use, so it wont feel awkward having to try another play style. There are in game purchaces. However not only are they super cheap, but you can also access everything they give you without spending a cent by watching ads. speaking of ads there are none unless you choose to watch them. overall, its a fun game with a lot of variety in enemies, bosses, and ships 10/10

Awesome, I've been craving a game like this. The other ones are way too easy and fast, this game is challenging and it motivates you to try and beat your high score. The sounds are satisfying, and the controls are smooth and precise. I wish it would play more of a sound when you take damage though, sometimes I'd take damage and not even notice, and suddenly I'd have a surprise game over.

Great, fun retro shoot 'em up with lots of interesting variety. It has that 'just one more go' factor that keeps you playing. Highly recommended. Possible improvements?...maybe add some level info on the playing screen. Also, although earning the ability to start at the highest level, it soon becomes clear that to earn more power-up gems, you will have to start from level one. This means a lot of repetition, unless you pay for the gems. All in all, a cracking game...thank you, developer.

Simple and fun! Everything you could want from this style of game without turning into an insane bullet hell. The bosses are unique and fun too with multiple phases and unique debuffs. I am also very happy with the controls and the sensitivity options available. The music is good, and the little aliens are all very different and distinguishable. My one minor complaint is the inability to save and quit.

Only one gripe... it doesn't support multi touch, so keeping one finger ready to blast my special doesn't help. That feels off. Overall great game. You can tell alot of love went into this game. My favorite but is that its simple, clean, and progressively more difficult without a huge curve. One of the big turn offs of other games is that suddenly its so difficult, you just give up. The graphics are sharp, smooth and LOVELY.

This game is amazing, its fun, simple yet challenging, good for casual people and serious players, and looks awesome. Ive been playing a bunch of these arcade shooters and This is one that really stands out in quality. There are ads but they do not interfere with gameplay and they are optional for buffs in the next fight. Hope everyone gives it a try.

Very good game. Hard for me to play with finger though. I recommend using a stylus pen for maximum control. Starts out easy with increasing difficulty. Classic space shooter. EDIT: Don't worry about the people complaining about having to buy upgrades. I am already in top 2% high score and haven't spent a dime. Every upgrade is achievable through the natural course of play (with a few exceptions) Using a stylus helps with control ALOT! I can't stress this enough.

Best space shooter in the Play Store right now, by far. It's fun and not a complete nightmare like some of the other games. Plus there are no money grab tactics or unnecessary time gates and ads. The only suggestion I would make is maybe adding a toggle option to double tap to pause, or move the pause button down to the bottom by the missiles. Or both.

This game is rated five stars from me because it has different waves, bosses, and difficulties. Two things I would like in this game are more bosses and maybe an extra game mode. I play this a lot because Arcadium does not even have ads. Every other space shooter I have played had ads in them and they were so annoying. Thank you for not putting any ads inside the game! :)

Like something out of an old Coin-OP Machine. Allot of fun, addictive and pretty simple in terms of gameplay and controls. Yet like it's simple graphics, though gameplay is quite basic as are most arcade shooters of this nature... the graphics still have a way of shining through and leaving all the retro action on screen easy on the eyes, while still just as eye popping as ever. Simple controls yes. Also very addictive I might add.

I can not emphasise how brilliant and amazing this game is. If you want a simple classic top down shooter then this is the game for you. I have not seen any adverts let alone being bombarded with them like other "free games" i strongly recommend that you give this game a go you will not be disappointed. Very well done to the developers. Also I think it would be really great if we could accumulate lives instead of having a set amount.

This game is perfect for me. Levels and mastery, but easily mindless and fun. Low key and not too involved for easy mobile game... But can be intense if you want. Has a solid design, great clean graphics, a great progression system and seems like a genuine, well made product stemming from passion. I'll be contributing to the developer when I have the money to, without a doubt.

Really enjoyed this game. My five stars says that. Two notes, take them as you will: the prices on the upgrades are really expensive, especially once you reach a sort of sticking point. I dont mind a game being difficult, I just dont like it being grindy. Also, needing to pay for so many of the ships, without there being a teired difference in power among them is kindof pointless. If a ship isnt necessarily better but just different and locked behind a pay wall, there's no reason to bother.

After a few days of playing this I'm addicted!! Love everything about this game, the retro look and audio are cool, difficulty is spot on and no annoying ads. None!! It makes me keep saying "one more game, one more game", just to try and beat my score. That is a sign of a great game. Well done dev, great job!

Music - 8/10 - The music really adds to the feel of the game, and it's very well suited to the different parts of the game. A suggestion would be to use higher bpm songs for non-boss wave music the further you go. Gameplay - 7/10 - The gameplay is quite fun, though the ship hitbox is very small compared to the sprite. Many features could be added to make the game more enjoyable - the upgrades need to be fleshed out more (they do barely anything as of right now). Not enough words sorry! 8/10 game
