Love it! This is exactly what I have been looking for: a turn-based single player RPG dungeon crawler with multiple characters in the party. It has a decent story line, fairly reasonable character growth. There's not annoying persistant "opportunites" to pay for things. You can save any time. The main improvement I would like to see is the ability to switch gear while in a dungeon.
Really nice turn based dungeon crawler. One issue: when shopping at the Blacksmith, it would be helpfull to be able to view your character's equipment to compare items you consider purchasing.
This is the first Arcane Quest I've played but it's not the best. I find very frustrating that the XP and gears are set aside between online and offline, and the fact that you can't repeat the dungeons to get some easy XP. I understand it counts as grinding but it really slows down progress.
I should like this. But after 2 failed fifteen minute slugfest (20+ rounds. Not sure exactly, wasn't counting) with the boss the intro quest with both my heros with their spells on, I have to conclude the dice favor the computer. That, or my luck is horrific in this game. Either way, playing this game was not a positive experience and I regret using my data to download it.
So far, so great! Very basic but classic DND style 2d top view makes it super easy. Reminded me of tabletops as a kid. Simplified, but will be trying AQ3 also; looks nice, but let's check its mechanics next. 5 *'s for AQ2! Good work AQ2 team!
Good game but the graphics made me dizzy. A little adjust to it, maybe. Besides it, it's one of the best game. I might not suitable for it, but to others who can adjust their sight to it, try it if you wan't classic pld school rpg, you don't want to miss this game.
This game takes me back to Hero Quest. I love it. The only issue that I have is that the touch feedback for the treasure chests isn't always accurate. Other than that, this game is a ton of fun for me!! Thank you for recreating part of my childhood!! Great job!!
Great game, closest I can find to D&D 5e style combat. Only issue so far was in the intro. The boss was a pain with only two characters, and i refused to run past him. After getting the elf i bought a bow, and smooth sailing since.
Not a fan of the graphics (top-down is difficult to make interesting) and there's no telegraphing the difficulty of different areas with sharp spikes out of no where (mid-dungeon in at least one case). But the core loop is fun with all of the classic RPG elements ADDED 8-1-21 The game is balanced heavy toward defense so expect to be stuck in stalemates as early as the third town. Gameplay gets boring as opponents and your party will have more defense dice than offense dice making it a slog.
Could do with better graphics, but i haven't played any others so it might have been updated in that respect in no. 3. Nice simple dungeon crawler. Multiplayer would be cool.
Great game, except who decided that the characters inventory space could only hold 3 items?? That's ridiculous. Make it bigger n I'll change my stats. A star per inventory space!
Game is awesome. One of my favorite developer. Played arcane quest 1-3 and legends. Bought the full hero pack on this one too. I have suggestion tho. Would you kindly update this game so we can change the name of our heroes like all the later games please? Thank you.
First time I played this years ago, I sucked. Came back and made sure I read through the instructions correctly - ever since.... LOVING IT!!! It helps my D&D cravings mildly, will continue to play for a long time to come.
It would be fine, if it would let me search chests or disarm traps, or hit the enemies... The double-tap function won't work.
It's a cool, retro game. It would be nice if you could save a game without having to exit. Also, it exits the game after you complete a quest. what is that?
Seemed like a great sequel until I realized the automatic dice roller was rigged in later quests to make them impossible without paying real money for items in the Marketplace. Greed ruined your franchise.
Love most of it. Actions and map makes button pressing difficult at times due to shifts in touch screen.
Classical turn-based RPG with good evolution trees; gets only addictive once you purchase the all-heroes pack tho.
I love the old D&D style gaming, But would like to more of this style with better graffics. It's all most impossible to find grade A , graffics...THANKS
Awkward gear changing, upgrading per hero. old style graphics. Turn based.
Pretty good! As close to Hero Quest as you can get through a mobile game. Enjoy.
"arcane quest hd" got me to do a tutorial and after the game has 30seg video ads, and they do not stop. Uninstalling...
Pretty much the same as the old school "Hero Quest" board game, only bigger and better. Lots of fun!
A huge upgrade from the first! Love it even more. Not pricey at all!! About to download the 3rd!!
Enjoyable. Easy to figure out. And still makes the player develop a strategy.
Great game with old skool flair! Arcane Quest is reminiscent of Gauntlet from 1985 but with a turn based system. Or even better, it's like they revived Hero Quest. This game is simplistic but a great turn based dungeon crawler. It's just what I was looking for. Easy to put down and pick up again where you left off. I play when I can and even if something comes up the game saves automatically, no headaches. Again, great game and I look forward to playing the other parts of the series.
