Archery Score Sheets

ARCHERY SCORE SHEETS
Say goodbye to paper-based archery score sheets! This app is designed to replace FITA and GNAS paper-based target, clout, matchplay and field archery score sheets with a digital equivalent, in a format that closely reflects the real score sheets.

Archery clubs would benefit the most from this app, especially when the app is deployed on multiple devices, ideally one device per target or scorer. This app may also be useful for individuals who want to keep a digital record of their results.

The scoring interface has been designed to look just like a real paper-based archery score sheets, to reflect the process of filling out a real score sheet, allowing quick familiarisation with the app.

After opening the app, the user would typically follow these steps:

1) Insert a new shoot (flight) record, or open an existing shoot record from the list.

2a) Specify the date of the flight (the current date is chosen by default). 2b) Enter a name for the flight, or choose from the list of session names. 2c) Choose from FITA outdoor, FITA indoor, GNAS imperial, GNAS metric, GNAS indoor, Clout, Matchplay or Field rounds. 2d) Specify the name of the round by choosing from the list of standard round names, or by entering a round name manually (selecting from the list is preferred, unless the correct round name doesn't exist). 2e) Choose the standard score sheet type from the list. 2f) Enter the target number (can contain letters). 2g) Choose the number of archers on the target.

3) Press OK to proceed to the archer details and score sheets.

4) Fill in the details of each archer, including the archer’s name (can contain numbers), club name, age group and bow type.

5) The score sheet view will then be shown, with intuitive buttons to navigate between each of the sheets/archers.

6) To complete the scores on a score sheet, simply touch the relevant ‘distance’ on the score sheet. The app will automatically select the next empty arrow score cell, ready for the score to be entered using intuitive coloured buttons which match the colours on the target face.

7) Once all the scores have been entered, the archer and witness must 'write' their signature on the screen, just like you would on paper in normal competition.

8) Once the score sheets have been completed for all archers on the target, you can ‘submit’ them at the touch of a button.

9) When you submit the score sheets, they will be saved as Excel files and PNG image files, within a zip file created on the SD card or internal memory (depending on the device).

10) After the score sheets are saved on the device, you will be presented with options for sending the score sheets to another location, eg. attached to an email, or via Bluetooth, etc.

This app was designed for tablet devices with large screens, but screens as small as 4.3 inches are also supported.

Important: This app must always have access to the SD card or internal memory (depending on the device), otherwise the app will be unable to back-up the score sheet data if the app is closed, and you will be unable to submit any score sheets!

Would be very useful for club comps when the paper runs out. Needs compound 6 ring for Wa 50/720. Also Australian Indoor compound is not X 10, only 10, and no option for double (60 arrow round) which is the usual. Not perfect, but pretty good.

Tried it; too limited. Couldn't see how to create custom round and no 252, Frostbite or Portsmouth rounds. Rest it ok though, quite simple to use.

For me this app is great. You can have multiple archers on a score sheet and it's very easy to use or correct. Would highly recommend

No numbers available to write down scores in the field score sheets. App needs to be rotation enabled for smart phones so score sheet can be enlarged. Font too small.

Love this app for scoring. I have been using it for 6 months without any problems but today shot a FITA 70 - 1440 round and I could not submit my scoresheet. One of the buttons was completely covering up the scorers signature box and without the signatures you cannot submit. I use an HTC 1 mini 2 phone.

Offers ineligible ends/arrows for known rounds. Can't expand screen to see score. But can send to excel.

Lacks custom round option. We have a fun award scheme at club and no option to score the method we use for it. No option to adjust date format. In UK we use DDMMYYYY format. Cannot change it. When renaming flight you cannot get rid of the date to put own date format on. Otherwise not bad app.

Add score sheet to close to next archer whilst scoring to easy to hit. Maybe move to another spot. Otherwise Great thanks.

I like the app but, my daughter shoots Modified FITA in 4H. I've tried to figure out how to set up the score sheets like they shoot but can't seem to get that right. They shoot 2 ends of 6 arrows at 10m, 15m, & 20m for a total of 36 arrows. Is there a preset score sheet setup like that?

Something wrong, as the score card appears as a tiny postage stamp in the corner of my phone's screen, making it unusable (htc m8), which is a shame. Also, it would be nice if the details weren't mandatory so I can quickly create a card for a practise session with just the minimum info, e.g the type of round.

would be better if there was NASP

Give most of the features needed, but would certainly gain the extra stat if it allowed Custom Rounds to be recorded. I've only recently taken up Archery and would love to be able to store my Club Achievement rounds for my 252 awards.

Great app for archery, would be amazing if you could get a bigger view of the score sheet at the end of the round as numbers are very small on a smart phone. I noticed tonight that the Stafford found only give you 5 dozen arrows when the Stafford round is 6 dozen arrows.

Great way to score your day's archery. Would be made better if the final scores could be expanded. They are a bit hard to read on your smartphone.

I like this score sheet a lot. Easy to use and does what you need it to do. It's a little small on your average phone, but still is OK. My only wish is that it allowed the creation of custom rounds with target distance, size and session names.

Just what you need, quick, simple to use, does all the maths, and its free! Cheers. Just one thing though, when entering scores, if you touch anything on the chart other than the colourd numbers, the app automatically shuts down!..?

Could be improved with the addition of scoresheets for clout rounds in future

I feel this a good app. and the best so far in it´s class. But i am like Andrew Roberts i feel like this needs the abilty to customize round or add more like all styles in IFAA. not just focus on the olympic styles (FITA) Need to have unlitmited nr of archers. I had the most problem with writing the info of each archer the keyboard did not allow me to use the complete keyboard on my tablet. would be great to have allow to rotate not locked in one position. For those 3 remarks is the reason i give it 3 stars. Also i feel it would be great if it would be possible to import like data sheet with prewritten archers or something from a computer. it would be much easier to write all the info and then import it. like just have a standard format with this app also to export the result to final review and print out.. and maybe to combine multiple score card into one and then have it calculate the scoring and it what place each archer is. This ideas could be to much to ask of but just a thought. :)

Really like this a lot. Only criticism is that it could really use having the ability to zoom in, for those of us using phones rather than tablets. Text is very hard to see on a phone! :) Great work though.

Nei. T. Feb 24, 2014

Without a doubt the best scorecard app I've found. I can keep score for multiple people easily. Sometimes we even get our 5 year old to keep score with this app because it's just so easy to use.

Very good app and very easy to use. Makes scoring very quick.

And. R. Jan 28, 2014

This app is great if you are simply an Olympic archer. What it lacks for the rest of us is the ability to customize and make our own custom rounds and competition styles. The ability to create, name, and store these for reuse would comolete the functuonality of this app.

Our club used this last night in our first indoor league of 2014. So easy to use and ensures that we are able to email scores sheets to all members straight after the shoot. A big thank you to the developer. Archery Club, Cape Town, South Africa
