Archery Sight Mark

Archery Sight Mark will save you time by not having to sight your bow at every distance after making adjustments to your equipment. This app will also provide accurate sight corrections for uphill and downhill shots.Simply sight your bow at three known distances and record your distance/elevation settings in the app. These three sight marks provide the app with all the calibration data needed to develop a quadratic regression model of impact points.Suitable distance choices for the calibration references would be the closest and furthest target distance you generally shoot over and a middle distance around half way between these two. Distances outside the calibration range are limited to half the difference between the closest and furthest calibration distance.Units of measure to use for the distance and elevation are arbitrary. I use metres for distance and millimetres for elevation with my compound target bow. But yards, feet, ticks, clicks, or whatever will work just as well.IMPORTANT
• In most situations, the app will provide accurate sight elevations for all distances within the calibration reference range. Sight elevations for distances extending outside the calibration range are also calculated, but may be less reliable.
• Be aware of parallax effects when setting sight marks at close distances. DO NOT use a calibration reference of, say 10 metres and expect the regression model to be accurate. I have found the ideal calibration reference distances are 20m, 40m, and 70m for bows that can flick arrows faster than 200fps.

Say goodbye to paper-based target score sheets!

Pro with multiple bows, setups and tape printing & no ads is the way to go with a single payment (no subscription 🙂). Works offline & gives distance\site mark and slope on the fly so it takes half of the guess work out of field and hunting shots. One improvement might be a setup information page which gives approximate bowspeed based on site calcs -and- entering known factors like arrow weight, length, spine, point weight, draw weight, known speed etc. to increase calc accuracy.

This app works Great! Been using for almost 3 years now and have no complaints. Enter 20 35 50 and it is pin point on! When I try and do longer distance 20 40 80 I get high and low arrows. But since I shoot ASA Known 45 it works great for me!

Used this for a few months and it's worked very well so I bought the Pro version to allow for it's multi profile feature which allows for different limbs, bows, setups etc.

Application is fine. Doesn't do me a while lot of good for me with 3 or 5 set site pins. If I had the single adjustable pin, or shoot beyond 60 yards a lot this app would make more sense for me.

A fantastic and simple app that just works. Sight marks are always perfect. Use this!

Easy to calibrate and use, way better than other apps

E xcellent. i do wish it could cater for multiple bows

Like it but really need to be able to do multiple bows of arrows. I run vaps unknown yardage. And fat boys marked yardage or fun shoots need different numbers and hate to always change my known numbers. Please fix it I would even pay for a version that holds multiple bows

Probably out of scope but didn't seem to work with my hha optimiser lite.

Wish you could store more than one set of marks for different arrows or bows.

Seems to be accurate. One suggestion is on the actual user page to offer different configurations. It almost takes 2 hands to use it because the arrow to select yardage more or less my thumb covers the actual yardage. Also have ability to just input yardage. Lastly include ability to input half yards when doing so.

Marks are close. Would be better if you could also get an 80 and 100 yard mark

My son needed a sight mark today DURING a tournament and it was the one distance he didn't have. I downloaded your app and entered the 3 sight marks he had. The sight mark setting he got from the app was spot on! Thank you so much! He shot the gold almost the whole round! I also checked the app with another archer. She had four sight settings. We entered three of them and it calculated the fourth one exactly! Amazing! Love the app! Please make an iOS version so I can share it with the entire team!

Needs o support multiple bows. Otherwise great app.

When inputting sight elevation marks from my sight using clicks, there should be a calibration setting for the number of clicks per revolution on my sight. I have 20 clicks per rev but the marks I get go to 100. It get me close if I do a quick mental conversion but when shooting field competions, close isn't good enough.

Installed this after changing from indoor arrows to outdoor arrows, rest, and scope (dot to pin). Shot 20,30,40 marks and verified 50 at the range, immediately prior to shooting in the known 50 class. I finished 3rd. This was with no prior marks. This app is fantastic, however I would love to see an option to display scrolling/updatable/recalibrating 1yrd/1meter increments between a low and high value, such as 20-80. This would allow a quick glance rather than changing the distance for each shot. If that isn't possible then maybe 2-4 additional calibration references. The manual slope adjustment worked well for cuts. As it stands now, it is a fantastic, FREE, WORKING, archery sight mark app!

Very close to Xsight tape. Incline/decline adjustment is handy.

It does what it says very good, another pin wood be better! All in all good worth downloading

Strangely, it doesn't let you go more than somewhere around 50% further than your longest mark. I shoot much further, what the heck?

Works well and acurate but would like to have greater distance and accomodate more than 1 bow and sight

I was a little confused at first thinking I could only shoot uphill, but as long as you input the right angle from flat it'll work out correctly. Great communication from the creator too! Bravo for such a simple, but easy to use app. Better than having to keep a notebook with every distance you need when shooting field.

Does what is says in the tin brilliant stuff easy prazy

Kev. D. Jun 17, 2014

Put in marks that I know are good . And compared the numbers it calculated for different yardages and they are way off . Need to be able to inter more info to be more accurate . Good start on program just not enough data can be entered

Just downloaded this but first look looks good

The app appears limited in that only 3 distances can be input and these are in Metres. Our Club shoot both Imperial (Yards) and Metric (Metres ) 'so to get accurate marks you need to convert Yards to Metres and then read off the Elevation. Additionally, I need to move my sight in towards the Riser for longer distances, but there is no facility for this in the app, so readings can be significantly out. Hopefully, these items can be addressed in subsequent releases. If so I will install again.

Must not be compatible with my tablet! Doesn't do anything that would help me make a sight tape
