If you're not looking to replace your favorite file manager, just to Zip and Unzip, then this is the archive app for you! It can be called from within your favorite file manager, just by tapping on the archive, or I imagine, long tapping on the files you want to compress. This app is simple and easy to use and the Source and Destination lines are brilliant! :) I said it is "almost perfect", because it could use the ability to create a directory when going to compress/uncompress. How many times have we gone to Zip/Unzip and forgot to create a directory first? :) Anyway, get this app if you're looking for a great little archive utility that won't require you to use it as your file manager too. The Market needed this app and props to the developer! Add that option and give me a donate link and I'm there! :)
This program does everything I want it to. But when I have multiple downloads to do in one day it gets aggravating to not be able to change the default out path. If you guys update this and make it so you will make this guy happy! Needs a settings list with stuff like that.
I looked everywhere to try to find a free zip extractor so I can extract a password protected zip and this solved my problem. It as easy as choosing the folder you want to extract choose the folder you want it to go to and input the password the file has on it. Nice and simple. Thank you for solving my problem. I've been searching for approx an hour for and application for my phone.
Like its simplicity and how it has a source and target directory (do those who develop other apps use them for many operations?). Would like: 1. An option to create a new, named directory. 2. Open the correct archive when opened by a file manager. 3. To remember the source and target directories when opened after being shut down. Thanks, keep up the good work!
It's not necessary but if the app developer would update the look of the app that'd be great. Right now it has the ui of a in game menu from a 90's video game (think resident evil or silent hill. Hell even some more modern games like Cry Of Fear have that UI style).
It mostly works. The UI is not that great, for it has been designed only for low resolution devices. Modern HD screens display tiny letters in the paths fields. That's just disappointing.
Wish it would let me unpack files with encrypted headers. It WILL let me unpack password protected files, though....I am confused.
Some 7zip archives cannot be unzip successfully where there is no problem when using other apps to unzip them. Good simple UI though.
Extration of rar file (downloaded from ttorrent), stopped after exiting ttorrent, file was still seeding and might have caused the error.
Worked great before last update. Now it doesn't work at all. Please revert to last version.
Hung trying to unarchive a large rar with 22 mp3 files. If the phone goes to a blank screen the program hangs, and does not recover. Likely it is just calling a linux utility and not written to deal with the mobile phone os specifics. It is better than running a terminal and doing it command line, but not a mobile app
Slow. Very slow. I have been extracting a 300mb file for the last 30 minutes. I don't even want to attempt compressing anything... will be uninstalling when its done, I'd cancel the process but considering how cheaply made this app is, I fear it would corrupt my file.... :-(
Now everything I try to unpack fails because of a "processing error". I'll change to a 4 star if this issue is fixed.
This app does what I need to do. Try improving the UI. Make it more user friendly. I was confused at first on how to use it. So improve the user interface and I will give it 5 stars. Right now I give 4.9 even if its only 4 star
Not workin for me, just won't extract 7z files, shows processing error. - Galaxy S2
Does not recognise split rars automatically and there does not seem to be a way to manually give multiple files. Otherwise works fast and well.
I wish I could rate lower this is so bad. When I try to unpack a password protected .far file it keeps giving me an error.
Fails to unpack 7z everytime which the only thing I needed this for. Otherwise I choose Root Explorer over this any day.
After trying a few other archivers, this is the best. Free, no ads and it absolutely works. I hope more archive types are added in the future, like 7z. This is a 5* App as is and a must have. Photon 4G.
The GUI is ugly. Its mind numbingly slow. and the progress bar is useless. I only gave it a second star because it doors work.. Eventually (sometimes)
Really nice app, extracted 200mb 7z archive well. But have got one bug, after each 4 files app is thinking for about 20 seconds.
Excellent app, unlike the other waste apps. This definitely works. Keep up the good work. xx
It used to work, but now for some reason it won't let me designate the out path. Really frustrating.
This app is THE app for archive handling. Whether unpacking or packing this little app won't fail me and it supports almost all archive types that the average user will ever see.
Works fine, just wish you could unzip in current folder, and didn't have to back out to highlight the folder.
Galaxy S II, epic touch 4g stock. App just hangs and phone gets really hot. Please fix this thank you.
As title says. Quite unattractive and dated. Fails to successfully extract apks from gz files, very reproducible.
If u make an archive with the following settings then this app can not unpack it. I set a 50meg folder with some camera picts n songs in winrar at best encryption with a DOD password and box checked to encrypt file names. Not sure what limitations this app has or how strong it is for hard core encryption or decryption. This is all I use rar and zip apps for so for me it either works or it doesn't which is why I had to give one star vs two or three.
