Archos Remote Control

Nothing is perfect, but this app is pretty much close. I was thinking of buying a bluetooth keyboard for my Archos 101 G9 so I can use it more efficiently, and to be more productive. Then I remember I had installed this app on my LG motion phone. It works great: media, touchpad, D-pad, keyboard. It has all that I need.

Unable to detect the Archos Gaming Tablet. Just sits there saying "No Archos Device Detected" Tried rebooting both devices and trying again again over last two weeks (remote controls on Archos are enabled etc etc) but nothing :( a load of rubbish really. If they were serious about providing this they would offer better instructions and a list of Archos devices it is compatible with...clearly its not all of them!

I installed it to control an archos 35. If u can't see what you are doing on the archos device what good is it for? U can just use directly the archos. The remote is good only for controlling the volume and if you're lucky, u might manage to play pause your station or media.

Fails to see my Archos 80 titanium making this app useless, another thing on the 80 titanium that doesn't work as it should.

My phone is on the same network but they refuse to see each other. It never surprises me when something on this useless tablet doesn't work.

I use the archos as an mp3 player in my home hooked to my stereo system. With this remote control ability I can skip an mp3 or turn up / down the archos right from my android phone instead of walking into the other room to do it manually. I just wish it worked for the Google nexus 7 also but it's proprietary to the Archos.

It works half. Because I can remotely do a few thing but I can't use touch because then the app crashes on the tablet also a volume option would be useful

Easy to set up, can use all functions apart from touch screen mode as tablet has older os. Great if you are using your tablet as a media player on amp or tv.

Works like a charm on my gamepad. No other app can perform like this, exclusive for archos devices only.

It is the only app who can control other device

It's an ok app, just a shame about the tablet. G10 promised so much and was fine but build quality very poor. The app doesn't always work.

Update has improved it. What would be perfect would be the ability to choose music on the controller to play on the Archos 35. Until it has that, it's a very mediocre system.

When I choose touch pad, the app crashes!

The App works well, but I'm also looking for an Remote App in the opposite way. I would like to control an other Android device with my Archos Tablet.

Desperately need to add a search button. Endless rebooting due to tablet crashing isn't too useful...

Won't work between two 80g9 tablets. Or from Moto G to 80g9.

Use this all the time for my Archos 80 g9. If only it used WiFi direct

Every time I try to install updates, I get an error message, telling me to remove the app before I can install the newest version. Unfortunately, it is one of the apps permanently pre-installed on my Archos.tablet, so I can't remove it.

I once had it working flawlessly but then now its not even detecting my tablet. I have one of the models listed. I'm baffled.

Its just displaying 'no Archos device detected', even after enabling its discoverable mode. How can it be helped?

According to quick start guide this works with Archos PC Stick, noooo not in my experience, all I get is "No Archos Device Detected". Yes they are both on the same network!!!

What a brilliant app, pure genius from Archos again, works a treat

What this really needs to get 5 star is compatability with Archos GamePad and mainly needs to focus on video playback apks such as netfllix
