Like others are reporting, app flashes open then closes immediately. Completely unusable. I deleted it a year ago from my old phone. Installed now on my new phone hoping it might be fixed. Nope! It was a great app and I would pay again if it worked, but it looks like it's been well and truly abandoned.
17 November 2019 this app stopped working :( on all devices I own crashes out even factory rest one device done every. Seems like the scrapper that collects media information to display title information etc is the issue. I assume a server changed and now the app can't work so crashes. Sent reports with no reply very sad.
Amazing Video Player! I use this to stream 4K movies from my USB drive. I'm able to use the passthrough settings to get full Dolby Atmos & DTS-HD surround sound also. I started with the free version but was so impressed with it I wanted to purchase to help support it. Highly Recommend!
Wow! what a joke! realised after so purchased that not only has it not been updated in a year and also doesn't even play all video formats....but it doesn't even seem to be displaying dvd cover art which is whole reason I purchased it. AVOID AT ALL COST!
Was a great app and had been using for yrs, however no updates / support for over a yr. App no longer reads files on internal storage, only external sd card. Have reset, deleted & reinstalled and adjusted settings to no avail.
I used to use this app all the time and it was the best but now for some reason it won't stay open. When I open the app it immediately closes. Please fix..I purchased this app so I would like to reinstall it and continue to use it without it closing on me when I open it making it impossible for me to even use! I'm on a Samsung Note 20 Ultra so it's new technology and if the app is updated for newer tech it should work!
On Lenovo M10 tablet, OS 10 Android; Archos starts, flashes ON for .25 of a second, crashes. App data says run time 0 minutes. All my video is on a 256GB mSD PNY made U1 card. VLC, X-Plr Video, Nova Video Player, PowerAmp (Full) all run without crashing. I've used Archos (full) on my other devices for years... HTC ONE M9, Google Nexus 7 gen 2, with no problems. Archos WAS my favorite video player until now!
Really good descriptions of the movie. On occasion mis-labels a title, thus fouling up description. Still plays film, though. Easy re-sizing film to conform to format.
No longer developed. Used to love it, but it now has its issues and since last update was 2018 we can safely say it's dropped. Use something else.
This app previously was amazing on the phone and Android TV but now it doesn't even load. If the developer updated it to work on the latest OS I would change from 1 to 5 stars.
Crashes on start now :( was my favorite video player. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do for streaming now!
It was a great app, but now everytime I want to run it, it suddenly close on my Philips Android TV. I use paid version and it is useless.
not working on TV after TV has been updated. not detecting external hard drive. i dont know why i am writing this, like they even care to read the reviews
Needs to be improved drastically a better interface and the ability for it to play more than one episode at a time
Not compatible with the Moto G7. Crashes as soon as you launch it. No updates on over a year. AVOID on newest version of Android.
Stopped working on Nvidia Shield. Since the 8.02 update, Archos refuses to open. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and a system reset but to no avail.
Utter rubbish. This app won't open so obviously unusable and no means to be refunded, even immediately after purchase. I would avoid this purchase as it's more a gift of cash.
I have always been a fan of Archos products, still have my Archos 101 with me and this player is built in. Interface, user friendliness and intuitiveness is superb.
this year is 2019. why u do not update the gesture remote for it. why i could not stream video to chromecast. are u lazy to update or dont have a staff?
Useless piece of junk doesn't work and you have to buy it when there's Nova video player that is exactly the same and free

Crashes consistently on the pixel 3. Video won't even get to start.
Used to be my go-to video player. Loved all the features. Changed my phone from a Samsung S8 with Android 9 to an A12 running 11 and now it crashes EVERY time I open it. As it's been years since the last update, I guess this is no longer supported and will be deleted soon.
