This is the free version of arcMedia. Please upgrade to arcMedia Pro (neon) for more features.
arcMedia Redux is recommended for older devices (please contact support for further assistance).
This version is intended for most modern devices: Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, HTC One, Desire HD, Motorola Droid RAZR, Xperia S, etc.
Stream or download your media files from a network (samba) share across a wifi or wired connection (including Windows domain authentication).
Full network transport access for HTTP, RTSP, UDP, RTP, RTMP (unencrypted) and MMS. Streaming via all connections is supported: wifi, 3G, ethernet and bluetooth / DLNA.
HTTP live streaming via the m3u8 descriptor format is also supported.
Play online video content directly or download it to your device for offline access (Vimeo, Veoh, etc).
Subtitle support with srt and smi format. Reverse landscape orientation for Android 2.3 or later. Optional on screen display for time, battery and screen lock.
A child friendly control lock is also featured.
Folder organsation and editable media file descriptions for easy content management.
Continuous play back and play list support (pls, amp, m3u).
Download your favourite media files and view them offline for added entertainment on that train or plane journey.
Please note: drm files (eg. encoded wmv streams) are not supported.
This application uses libraries from the FFmpeg project under the LGPLv2.1, further details are available on the arcMedia web site.
MX Player can be selected by preference to supplement the media downloader.
Hardware acceleration and multi-core decoding is implemented where available.

Root access is not required to use this app. A shortcut to arcMedia will be added to the device launcher after successful installation.

thank you all arc media for the opportunity and use of your software. i hope you all continue to show people that money is not everything. the lite version does what I need and I hope you'll let me keep using it. I guess I will never know the "one star" people unless they are the competition's staff. as they say, whatever other people say about you guys, you are NOMERO ONO for me. Works great for DROID 4. This app still remains the best app for video playback of different video codex

It stopped working after last update. I tried uninstall and reinstall also. No better. But just day or two later it got fixed. Bravi! Its my fave app and its working OK again!
Wont work with nexus 4. Auto close always.
From my personal experince these ratings can be misleading sometimes. The rating on this particular software is not that hihg but it is far better than the one coming in our search on top. Videos were not being played smoothly (mkv) on other media players like mx vlc etc but this one played it like a pro. BEST SO FAR.
Not bad. Needs to record last play back position though for 5stars.
Does not play certain Avis/ rmvb format on nexus 4/7.. switched to MX player allowed me to view the videos
Finally found a player that can stream the .ts files from my humax box, and keep the dialogue in sync, and allow seeking (vplayer and Bsplayer do either/or)! Couldn't get in-built browser to seey my network, but dlna streaming works fine in conjunction with Skifta.
I have a 1ghz dual core phone and I've tried all other players and none play avi files like this one. The others have audio distortion or audio mismatch. Maybe I'm lucky but it works perfectly for me
Only problem I have with it at this point is, it would be nice to open the actual player when clicking the icon, rather than the library. Sometimes I just want the player so I can enter a url, but can't. This would be a great improvement for the next update.
This ARC media (Neon) is not supportable in every android instead of it download ARC media Lite
After being frustrated when QuickPic's video streaming capabilities went wonky, here come's arcMedia! :)
Was working great with ICS. Doesn't work with JellyBeans. LTEvo.
Doesn't download video anymore. Says downloading but nothing happens.
I have this on most of my devices and it works well.
keep buffering. cannot play movies.
Run real slow, not play bottom,play from lastview never star until 30sec. Later do not have a. Playbottom to star a. Movie no even to pause
Force close this BS app refuses to work with ics software on galley s2. No fix or update
Works great. Resumes each file at last point, but does resume last file that was playing. You know the play/pause button gets squashed into the lower right corner, right? Would appreciate a fix. Otherwise, great. Only occasional stutter and catch up experienced. Very large (2gb) files don't cope.
Fix it so it does and you will get four stars..to earn an extra star tell it to stop telling me I need a battery update...i dont need or want one .
it appears that the path to external sd card was not as straight foward to find. that problem is resolved. if files are stored on external sd card, look for the ext card in the mnt folder. it now works fine. thank you.
Work better than the original lite version, it run all mobile format in my phone m4v,rm whatever. Great works guys. Galaxy note.
Used with my player but didn't work any better than my player image freezes sound works abit longer then all freezes. cyanogenmod7 on s2.
