Arduino Bluetooth RC Car
The application allows you to control an Arduino based RC car over Bluetooth. This is done using a Bluetooth enabled Android phone. Visit this site https://sites.google.com/site/bluetoothrccar/ for the Arduino code and control circuit. The app lets you control the car with either buttons or the phone's accelerometer. A slider bar allows you to control your car's velocity if the car's control circuit has this feature. There are also two buttons for front and back lights. A flashing light lets you know when the phone is connected to the car, and arrows light up letting you know the car's driving direction.

Hi Andi, I'd like to thank you for your efforts done in that project and sharing your knowledge. I'm trying to modify RC car for my son. It's with one drive motor, and a servo motor for the steering. I'm using Arduino Uno and 293 driver. I modified a little bit your Fritzing sketch to adapt with my components. But unfortunately, there is something missing and I don't know what it is. I can't even switch the LEDs. I'm working on 9600 baud rate, I modified the sketch too. Is it essential to work on 115200?
The app seems like it has potential but it only works with Bluetooth rc cars where can I get one? Never heard of one but the reason I said it has potential is because it does not hook up to non Bluetooth rc cars but hope in the future it can hook up to non Bluetootooth cars. Ps would like to have known if it was only Bluetooth in the name plz fix.
Yeah it's a good app, for many it is lagging for me too it lagged so I changed the last line of the program where there was def (100) and I changed that into def (5) and it worked without any lagging so anyone who has these difficulties u can try this method
It is the best remote controle for Bluetooth cars .I like it very much . But if you can please make the user interface a little more interesting I would appreciate it more
Very good app with a very easy to understand base program, with some modifications to the program it's easily to match any vehicle. Tank for example, only needed 1 DC motor drive with 2 motors.
I really like this app, Im suggesting if we can also manage to costumize the layout. I just want the up down button and the slider. Nevertheless, I appreciate how you all work for this app. Thank you
Hi, I am using your app for my bluetooth RC car. Thx for your application. May I know what code is sent when we press "triangle" button ( emergency symbol). Pl confirm if it sends code X continuously or at a frequency of half a second.

Great app, I'm using it to control my first robot spider with arduino nano and hc-05 bt, thanks for putting it out there.
It has very good control at car but after 1 or 2 minut it stops working hanged and closed automatically. I don't know what is the problem. I tried in other mobiles also but problem remains same. Please help.
Best and perfect app for bluetooth(I used HC-05 with base module) aurduino(I used UNO with L293D motor driver) car if you do all the coding and logic properly.

This app has no bugs unlike other apps which have a lot of bugs in bluetooth data exchange.
It automatcally disconnects with the hc 05 sensor. And a little bit slow!
This app is great.It has speed control system which is not available is another apps(atleast the apps I tried) out there in play store.
in my project app is not sending data on horn, front light and back light kindly tell me what is the problem
Add more button at this moment you guys have 8 buttons . Try to input 10-12 buttons to control more motors and servo motors
It's good but it disconnects from the car if you open a notification or even leave the app for a second
it keeps disconnecting and hangs often

Really easy to control. I was able to control my robot very fluently.
May be can be improving have an settings like speed adjustment for two motor rotation speed.
App continously sending 'R' instruction, even if no button pressed. For HC-05 bluetooth.
Best BT control app I have seen. Few sudgestions i can give to improve this. 1. Horn button currently has ON/OFF toggle option and it would be nice to hav a push-ON and relese-OFF type like in Forward/Backward buttons 2. Currently this app send a "D" key when disconnecting BT as a superb feature. It will be nice to have a key send when connecting app to BT also.
