I switched to Ariela from Zanzito, as the latter wasn't being updated anymore: so far so good! The dev is working hard to improve the app and it shows: lots of functionalities are being introduced every day. There are some things to iron out (especially due to the ways that Lovelace UI can be customized, so some custom cards and components aren't fully supported yet), but I'm sure everything will be fixed.

This is the best home assistant companion app out there. Love every feature. The best feature is persistent notification entities - dont even need to open app to see favourite items. Keep them coming. Some on my wish list 1. Finger print sensor integration. 2. Do not disturb sensor - for example send in a meeting from calender 3. Voice notification from HA

Great app - developer updates it often and it keeps getting better and better... highly recommend. Latest version crashed on my Galaxy Note 4, but clearing data and cache corrected it. If that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling may correct the problem. In either case, you will have to perform setup and set preferences again.

I've used Ariela since it released just over 6 months ago. Even its first iterations were solid and way more useful than other HA companion apps. Its constantly updated and continues to be a major part of my set Not only does this provide easy access to your dashboards, but you can easily feed data from multiple sensors to HA. My favorite is "next alarm time". With a template automation, my lights slowly come on before my alarm. I love the app, keep up the amazing work. I'd pay again

The best Home Assistant client app by far. It gives you all of the possible functionality you could need all rolled into one app. The developer is also incredibly responsive and is pushing new updates to the app all the time. Seriously, every time I check my recently updated apps Ariela is there with some new feature!

Love it! I really like the UI and the device tracker seem to more accurate than the official Hass app. Only thing though, it would be nice to have the lovelace toggle like they have the webui. For example, I have multiples lights on an lovelace card and I can toggle it all of them with a toggle on the top of the lovelave bar. Otherwise, great app!

I've been using HA Lovelace but thought I'd try this app. Not only can I not configure it easily (if at all), but it's overwritten my default Lovelace dashboard twice when switching dashboards in the app. Seems like it isn't in active development anymore

Used the free version for a while, loved it so much I couldn't help but buy the Pro version! Dev keeps this updated VERY regularly and it's hands down the best, and one of the only, Android apps for Home Assistant! A++ features and functionality. It's a must-have for any Home Assistant user on Android.

Worked up until I started using DuckDNS. Cannot get to work now. My tablet doesn't support the official app so using the pro version of this instead. Works really well and has some great features. Good app but needs support for more Lovelace UI cards. Particularly 'button'

My favorite Home Assistant app by far, I've been having trouble understanding the documentation though. The camera page on the documentation doesn't have any examples so I'm unsure if I'm doing something wrong trying to get it to work, or if something is broken, as there are Ariela related errors in my logs, but I'm unsure what all is broken from it.

Good app to support Home Assistant. Good are many things. What is not so awesome are; a) currently I cannot figure how to change ugly history-graph colors (I am using dark mode for Ariela and blue/red on grey is terrible combination). b) cards are rendered differently than on web app. It is not clear to me how each will be rendered. Maybe there is some documentation I am missing?

impressive app, has a lot of options and does provide a native interface based on my Lovelace settings. I'm still trying it out, but given all the options I've decided to buy the Pro version so i can show my support to the developer!

Non existent bug support from the developer. Try replying to the emails your users send rather than ignoring us. The app is half decent if you can put up with the serious amount of battery consumption. Update: got in touch and managed to sort the bug out between us. Updated the rating to 4 stars as the battery consumption could be better.

Can't get MQTT camera to work at all and the MJPG streaming is unreliable and crashes often but the rest of the app is awesome for my wall panels. Wish the docs were a little better too. Bought the PRO version hoping it would fix these problems to no avail, same problem.

App works great, occasionally has a fit when I switch from 4G to WiFi, have to kill and reload, it hangs waiting for data that isn't coming. Some issues with notifications that were working and stopped, I suspect it's the HA end however

I haven't tried half of the features. Best HA app I've tried! I use the WebUI mode personally, love the persistent notifications and having HA run within an app as opposed to a browser tab. 👍 Keep up the good work!

Great app for Home Assistant. The widgets are great for quick access to things you use most often. Only complaint currently would be that the native UI doesn't pickup the cover type, so a garage door has a window icon.

Great app, I have a suggestion though, when I change between networks (mobile to hotspot or the way around) the app lose connection to the server and you have to tab the retry button so it can connect again, is there any way to automate this? Thank you.

This app is not just the best client for the Home Assistant, it is the perfect reference for good development practice and dedication to customer satisfaction. Also, first time in my long experience of mobile app purchase, I'm willing to pay more than it costs. Dear Dev, please consider another paid version with annual subscription. Some of us would be happy to support further development.

I really liked this app! So much that I was considering getting a Wear OS watch (I have had a Pebble for the past 5 years). However, when my phone battery got unusually low I discovered that Ariela Pro had used 17% of the battery in 19 hours. That is on a Pixel 2, so all the system battery usage is unreported. That is way more than anything I have seen before. For now I have uninstalled the app. Will try again in the future. Installed it again. I think there have been at least two updates since my first review. Today it has used 7% over 12 hours. Much better! I don't think I have any sensors enabled. Very little automation done so far. Currently just relying on the sun. Think I better move this over to the community discussion.

very easy to setup and use, amazing customer support. I emailed them about a very customized tap action card i had created that didn't render properly in the app and I'm the morning there was an update that fixed it.

Fantastic Home Assistant client; its still got a long ways to go for the 'native' rendering but the Dev is making huge leaps and strides. Performance on cheap tablets (like the Fire HD's) is much better than the traditional WebView most apps use.

Mih. A. May 2, 2021

Has a nice UI, but is unable to render custom cards unless you switch to WebUI. This makes it kind of pointless because use cases are heavily limited. Hopefully this will be remedied in future updates

It was working on my previous phone but not any more. After entering wifi name and skipping next step, i added pepper url for home assistant, winch works fine with web browser but it failed. I tried every other possible combination but without success.
