The app takes advantage of several mobile-specific features such as barcode scanning, storing of digital library cards, push notifications when holds are ready or accounts overdue, and geolocation to the nearest library.
It is provided by Arlington County's Open Government Program to promote transparency and better access to data.

Great service & selection: if a book or other material isn't available, there's an excellent wait-list setup. Favorite local Branch is Shirlington.
This app is getting better and more functional as time goes on. You can now search the catalog and put a hold into your stored account. I mostly use it to check my due date and holds status, location hours, and for news. It's also handy as a digital card for check-out.
Great Book selections. My Favorite British detective mysteries are easily available as well as many American mysteries. Also many American writers of Fiction and Biographies as well as nonfiction books on topics I want to explore. Librarians are always happy to assist finding books I can't locate. Westover Branch Public Library is nearest to me and I know the staff are delightful and always very nice. Going online to find and order books is easy as well as doing renewals. Many activities too.
I think the app is great. You can scan your digital library card when you check out books. Easy to keep track of your checkouts and holds. And it's easy to search the catalog.
Generally good. The events section does not show all the events on the website and does not filter by audience or type

An easy way to see what books I have checked out, on hold, due dates, fines; search the catalog; and bc of google's lovely ux api, beautiful to boot! I just wish that once I found a book in the catalog, I could check it out in the app itself, instead of still have to go via a link to the library's website.

The app is functional, but there is no access to my account lists. I'm constantly adding books to my lists so when I need my next book, I have a list ready to go. Please incorporate the lists into the app like on the website.
