What it does:This app uses your your headset's microphone to listen for loud noises. Then depending on the mode it either pauses or dips the volume of your music or movie then plays back the sound that triggered it. Then returns your music or movie to normal volume or resumes playback.
Bluetooth Mic Option:Currently only works with mono headsets and some AD2P kind
Where would I use it? +At the office: pause your music automatically when someone is trying to get your attention +At home: Don't miss door slams, children crying, your dog barking, or other warning signs +At the airport: Relax at the gate and have your music pause when the gate announcements start +Anywhere relatively quiet where you want to know if something happens around you
Best to use with: Sound isolating earbud headphones with mic
- These are practically earplugs now, so don't miss out on what's around you. You can use it with just headphones but be aware the microphone used is now your phone. So leaving it in your pocket wouldn't work so well.
How to use: Make sure your headset is plugged in. Simply start the app, push Start, see the noise level around you, set the trigger level by using your finger to swipe the meter, hit the home button to access your music, videos or games and enjoy.
Limitations: -Needs Gingerbread or higher (Android version 2.3, etc) -You can't be in a really loud environment otherwise the microphone input will be maxed out and there is no way to detect a louder sound.
Compatibility:Works with most popular music and video players: Make sure to enable headset controls if it's not working at first
Samsung's FM Radio App currently doesn't work (actually crashes the app, sorry)

I am very disappointed, I got the free version to test it out, in the free version the headphones must be plugged in, I saw there is a bluetooth option in the pro version so I got the pro version. What a waste of money. AFTER buying the pro version, they explain that it doesn't work well with music because it lowers the quality in order to use the mic. Do not buy
waste of money. doesn't work with any of the 5 different bluetooth headphones in the house unless i install an app to turn headset to mono mode. super annoyed. when i do that the latency is so bad its actually distracting. i thought a reboot of phone might help but then i couldn't refund.
I'm giving this application 3 stars because the program works very well with usb type c connections from my note 10 plus. However, do not purchase this app for bluetooth connections. It is not even close to a thing yet. You are much better off considering to invest in a device that has ambient listening natively.
It's cool, but it uses my phone microphone. My phone is in my pocket and all I hear is fabric rustling. If you make it work with more Bluetooth microphones, I'll buy it again. Keep it up!
This app needs a lot of work. Slight delay. Causes music to be distorted. It does work with my Bluetooth earbuds though.

after playing around with it this is awsome
Needs work. Way too sensitive to high pitch sounds and should be tweaked to be more sensitive to sounds in the normal human voice range. Needs to have an option to dim the audio and play the surrounding sound louder when the set level is tripped. As it is, when using street mode, you can't hear someone talking to you very well. It is muffled and the audio from what you are listening to way overpowers it.
Needs a slider to mix/amplify Mic audio. This would be incredibly nice with street mode! Messaged developer, will update once I have feedback.

Pause (with an option to resume) or dip the volume of your music automatically or just let the background noise mix in to stay aware of what's going on around you.
Works considerably better than the other one I found.
Not working with Klipsch R6 Bluetooth headphones.
Almost there. The app works, but needs some tweaking or additional setup options. As others mentioned, more sensitive to high pitched sounds than low noises, so I had some of my mouse clicks register as above threshold, while deeper human voices would not. Also needs the option to set the preferred mic, when using my standard earphones I noticed the music playing in the earphones for some reason also registers as external sound. Dev, if you make these adjustments, the app will be really awesome!
