App is terrible. After initial on boarding, it logged me out. I cannot gain access to the app now. Giving me a message saying I cannot connect to my wireless gateway. Yet, I have internet connection on devices from my provider. I have rebooted several times with the same error. I spent good money so I could be able to manage my device. If I would have known this was going to be a problem, I would have rented off the internet provider. Very disappointed

This app has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed. There is no purpose in signing up to use the mobile app if soon after you set it up you can't log back in. You follow the instructions completely then you go down the rabbit hole, trying to get the app to work. I downloaded the app on Apple and Android I was successful signing up on Android but now I can't log back in. This is 2022 this shouldn't be happening I'm need the developers to fix this APP ASAP!!!!!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the old app. Now the app won't accept that the modem is connected to the internet for the app to respond even though my phone is connected to that network..through the modem..why make a system dumb? Makes no sense

I have been trying for 4 days now and I have typed in the exact number that it says to do and that it will open up the page for you to login which is a straight lie. It just routes you write back to the same page you was on what all the different site once again telling you again to go to a browser and type in the number in the url bla bla bla. What a joke and then they make it so that you can reach no one to get help at all. Unless you want to pay for something that you should not have to.

I don't have any issues with my router or internet but I've only recently started wanting to use the app to control internet access. I try to pause devices but after a certain (short) period they automatically unpause. The parental control feature only lets you list specific websites and keywords. There doesn't seem to be the option to cut off the internet for a specific period. Edited: even though it appears "unpaused" the internet stays disconnected. It can be confusing though.

Ever since I switched to a new phone and updated the app, I am unable to log into the app. Always gives me an error message, even after I "set it up" again.

App doesn't even open anymore. It just crashes. That's all it is now, an app that crashes. Fix your product, you overpaid, rent-inflating silicon valley douches. Get out of Tesla's and One wheels, stop sipping that craft beer and actually do something of value instead of just driving up rent and being annoying hipster leeches to society.

You can't...connect to the network...if you've already connected to the network. I set up the modem, contacted Comcast, everything was working (so a plus on hardware's side), downloaded the app so I could change the network name and they need me to manually forget the network so the app can re-add it to my phone. Punishing me for adding the network as a first step is ridiculous, wouldn't be hard to add a "you're already connected" screen. Not looking forward to the rest of the app.

If you scan the qr code you must still have the default wifi router and password. If you rename either you need to manually input this information. You also need to be sure you are on your 2.4ghz network. 5ghz will not work. Even said all this the app is limited. I can't get a true representation of actual connected devices to show up in the app even though they are connected to the router. Tech support says it's the app. I periodically check but still no update. I contacted them months ago!

Literal garbage. Arris should have a website where the password and ID can be changed. There's no need for this app. Not only that, but it doesn't even work. I've been stuck on "Scanning for available Wi-Fi networks" for 10 minutes now. I am connected to the wifi network that it's "scanning" for. Come on now. I will never buy an ARRIS product again.

I had a really bad review for you guys, like it wouldn't even fit in the box but I've come to my senses just to say your customer support and connectivity for product holders can use a major increase to get more router and modem. System issues cordially handled. I feel like I've wasted an abundant amount of time just trying to get a hold of someone we're just trying to gain access to our modem name and password we have the product but no way to use it.

Like this app at first worked great untill setup wifi extender or repeater. Once connected the extender then wouldn't work unless using the extender or repeater to get on the internet. Paused the extender in the app then it could no longer connect. Thank goodness had another wifi extender and was able to get back in to unpause it. This app is using the extender as the actual Arris modem router. Do like that it shows what is connected and able to check the speed.

What is the point of this app, if you cannot connect to your own router? It just doesnt connect after entering the wifi and password. Surprised to see so many similar comments and still no action from them. Pathetic. And even their router parental controls are just ridiculous. Lucky that somehow the router works but have to get router with better support.

Worked, for a week. Hadn't changed anything but a password and suddenly the app won't recognize the modem anymore to control devices, yet I can see the network names and wired connection listed. Contacted support...a few times...and here I am still getting "can't connect your gateway to your account" It's fine, didn't need the parental controls anyway, and when I do, unplugging works I guess

I got the device set up using default settings very easily, but default settings are insecure. So, I tried to configure the router on my laptop. Didn't work. Downloaded this app. Can't even log in. Worse than useless. If you care at all about security, don't just avoid this app. Avoid any router sold by Arris.

Why this app divert me to SURFBOARD Central? I downloaded the other one this one is more friendly then the central. Like I cannot PAUSE the device in the Central but used to do the same in this app.

Terrible app. I purchased the Arris W21 for use with Sonic. It took many attemps to get the phone to connect to the router. The app won't let me change my wi-fi password!!! I cannot access the router on browser IP 192.168.7.1. Why did Arris roll out a non-working app? The eero router, (used with the eero app) installed by Sonic is an Amazon product that invades our privacy, took 2 minutes to install, and just worked. I am 4 hours into something that should have taken 30 minutes. Inferior!!!

couldn't even setup - asks to setup a username and password. passwords aren't integrated with Google's password manager, so good luck remembering it. i made up a password and saved it i the clipboard. it accepted the password and then asked to relogin. it said the password was wrong and gave no useful information how to change it again. it has been uninstalled as a result.

There is a pop up about a new product, I can't scroll on it and it blocks my access to the app. Calling for help got me no where. About once every 10 times I uninstall and reinstall I can actually open my account. And yes, I tried turning it off and on.

Installed this app to see what was going on with my router resetting itself all the time. Tried to log in and it force closed itself stating that there was a bug and to download a version after the devs fixed it. Uninstalled 2 minutes after installing.

This app is awful. Worst router management I've ever dealt with. Can't login to edit setting without internet connection, connection is messed up so can't login. I've reset the router mutliples times. If I login to the wrong service (2.4 or 5ghz), I can't back out and relog, I legit have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get back to the first menu

In instalation process is telling me to be connected to the internet .. 🤔 ❓ and how I supposed to be connected when I'm in the process to setup this modem.... Log in problem. Email or password wrong even i never change it and I'm on the same wifi network. Please fix it. ... It's may and still problem with login. Second think , why don't you enable system to be control without being on the same network ? ... Like I can do on Linksys.
