I need to counter these negative reviews. The app worked great! Easy to use, informative, and a complete substitute for the rented audio device. I used it all day (6 + hours) in a full range of exhibits. No problems anywhere.. Maybe the headphones didn't work; I don't know -- didn't try those. But I don't think that putting a smart phone up to your ear is a huge problem. BTW, I also saw many other people using the app on their phones.

The audio tour is worthless, it jumps between floors every few audio clips (The Essentoals Tour). Every few clips a restart was needed so that the audio clip will start. The audio clips are repetative, for example in the Miniatures Tour a few sentences repeated over and over again in almost every audio clip, which became very annoying, very quick. The app is a great idea, as the addmition fee is high, and the audio tour is an extra 7$. But please improve the app....

Great content and nicely done UI/UX but poorly implemented audio control. On LGs (G6-8) and Samsung S10 Androids the app does not allow the device to control volume. And there's no app volume control, so some tour's volume is at maximum, making them piercingly unlistenable. Not a hard thing to fix. Also it would be nice if to have links to the AIC's website's extensive content on many of the tour's pieces.

This is a terrible app. It is designed to discourage people from using it. When you walk into the museum you want to show your membership. The first screen that appears is a useless welcome screen with no menu. Then there’s a useless top view of the museum, followed by an equally useless front view. Finally you get a second welcome screen, but you’re still one or two steps from the membership card. The “info” menu takes you to a page offering to sell you tickets, which for a membe

My Access Member Card won't load. The page gets stuck in a loading cycle. There is no clear way to log out, and log back into the app. Terminating the app and restarting it does not help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does not work. There is not a clear error message after a timeout, the page just hangs indefinitely.

Informative and useful, but I had to Uninstaller and reinstall several times to get through one 30 minute tour. Also, directions to the next tour spot would be helpful since the tour stops are soooo spread out.

Just tried to install this app on my phone and apparently it thinks I speak/read Mandarin. It's all in Chinese from the get go, and since I don't speak it, trying to negotiate menus to switch to English is impossible. This app, so far, is completely unusable for me.

A lot of bugs. You have to continuously restart app in order for it to play audio content. In the museum, I probably listened to info about twenty paintings, and had to restart the app at least ten times.

I renewed my membership to the Art Institute and wanted this app for the member card feature. It keeps showing my membership as expired, even though I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I paid for the renewal a week ago. There's no excuse to screw up such a basic feature - poor quality app.

I love the content on this app. The audio guide is so informative. But the app itself is difficult. I had to close and reopen it after every 2 or 3 audio uses or it wouldn't load.

The app fails to load audio content if one leaves it in the background for a few seconds. Incredibly frustrating because unless one keeps the app running constantly, they'd have to reload the app again and again.

Very happy to have this app...it has many detailed audio tours. So easy to wander the museum and use the app to delve deeper into art. The member card being electronic is a marvelous and practical feature. Very well done, many thanks.

Worthless app! The audio tour doesn't sync with headphones. Individual art works with numbers won't play audio at all. Why even bother having an app at all?! Using Galaxy S9+ with Android.

This is a world class museum. Expect heavy crowds in front of "American Gothic" and "La Grande Jette." Museum staff are greatly stressed by bad behavior in the bldg. DO NOT TOUCH labels were added in the modern wing; should not the public already know, don't touch sculptures.

This worked perfectly with earbuds. The amount of narration was just right to give me a sense of the piece or the artist while I focused on viewing the art.

Spotty, inconsistent, audio button often didn't work. Seemed to have no method for choosing pieces, and descriptions either were tangential or sometimes silent.

Great app, especially since the museum charges for audio guides. Crashes easily though. Hopefully the next release facilitates ticket sales.

I listened to the Andy Warhol narrative but it constantly froze. I had to exit the application and come back again. It was a little frustrating.

Couldn't access my membership card because I kept getting sent to the number pad when trying to enter my membership ID. I got the full keyboard for the password. Weird. Useless app.

The app didn't work in the crowded exhibit. Maybe a bandwidth problem? Don't bother with the app if the exhibit is crowded.

Audio will not play through headphones, only through phone speaker like I'm on a phone call. This is what EVERYONE is posting about. Hurry up and fix this!

TERRIBLE APP. audios don't work unless I delete and reinstall app... and then don't work after listening once

i updated my Art Institute membershp several months ago, but the app didn't update and continues to show my old, expired membershp date. No apparent way for user to update this information.

Really great app, well-made and easy to use. So useful for learning more about the works and the museum itself. Great job guys!
