The compatibility with Chromecast is amazing ! A search feature would be a plus, as would the ability to browse other programs without playing them (the program you browse automatically plays so you can't browse while watching). No stoppers though thanks to other features (e.g. you go back to a program at the timestamp you left it). Very solid and usable, 5/5!

Know any app where the back button does not go back? Well you just found one. Unsure their development teams actually test or use it in any way, as it is a very blatant and evident bug. Very sad to see such great content offered with such a poor user experience!

Much and sometimes interesting video content, but almost impossible to understand how above content is organized. A mad, mad, mad Aladdin's cave. Fortunately, there's always a simple way to get to the familiar home page again.

this is a rating mainly for the app. the app is just great. I like the skip intro/credits feature and the very clean, intuitive and functional design. Congrats to the Dev's and ARTE.

Not possible to load a video since 2 days, "a technical error occurred while loading the video". Same for my Google TV device.

I really like the app, besonders auf deutsch, yet every time I open the app it increases the screen brightness, I have reinstalled it and still the same. Its the only app to do so, is there a bug in the app because it is so annoying.

Very useful app. But since version 3.2 of the app for Android TV, the Arte channel (En ce moment) is always empty and removed from my nvidia shield homescreen. Version 3.1.1 works correctly

My only suggestion is to optimize the screen layout for both pure portrait and landscape modes. As it is now the app constantly changes viewing modes for different parts of the app resulting in me having to swing my tablet around like a steering wheel to keep up with the changing views. Really annoying.

Please implement the possibility to chance colour and size of the subtitles It's hard to read the yellow ones especially on light colored background or from distance on TV screens

I'm using this app for many years but nothing significant came like vid quality or offline viewing. No Content curation. Majority of vids aren't for downloads. Data consumption is high (since unmanageable) but sometimes there is no video playing only audio. Subtitles are missing for someone understands through it. Pop-up video feature is missing. Video quality like youtube is missing and Downloads often doesn't play when offline. Crashes more often. Add video in title apart from just "arte".

Could you add ff/rewind controls (+/- 15 seconds, double tap left/right like YouTube or similar)? And, consider introducing automatic play, at least for episodes from the same series. Thank you Edit: thank you, you are right. Autoplay was not working well with my Chromecast but now it seems to be okay.

I used to watch it on my Sony Smart TV. It worked for about half a year but since then it crashed everytime I tried to play something, althought I unistalled and re-installed a few times. Please fix this because there are so many interesting docus I want to watch.

Excellent. More operas please. One point though for the developers: Often the horizontal banner (with Home, Arte Concert) at the bottom disappears or does not come up. It makes it difficult to find Arte Concert. I suggest to place it also in the subpage finder (= horizontal lines in upper left corner).

A dream come true! Great selection of documentaries and concerts, with english subtitles, so I can finally follow it. Only the subtitle font is horrid, on android phone at least; it's barely legible. It's so excessively bold that the letters run into one another, and I don't see any setting to change it to something sane.

This is a great app with a great catalog of videos to enjoy. With that said, the search fonctionality is lacking and the videos aren't in HD nor 4K in the app nor when casting to chromecast. That feature would be appreciated even if I needed to pay extra for it. Thanks!

Would be really helpful, if navigation was possible by cursor keys and the lack of support for keys like play/pause is really annoying. People using the app on a smartphone or tablet might not care but on an android based TV box ort smart TV these smalll details are essential.

the selection looks impressive but actually nothing out of the selection is playing due to "technical problem" or "the application has stopped". i have installed french TV player and arte is playing there. so what is the problem with this app?

Excellent app with excellent content. Only defect : when playing a video full screen the borders on top and bottom are grey and not black which is not pleasing to the eyes and consumes battery life

Dysfunctional. Videos stop arbitrarily and cannot be recharged. The only way to continue is to kill the app and start over again. One of the worst apps I have ever seen.

Arte is fantastic app, i'm deeply interested in its content and independent view. Unfortunately recently i experience complete blockage on Samsung smart tv, it works better on Android, but some programs lack vision. To be honest i have written to Arte about my experiences, had been demanded to write in French or German only.....is it brexit blackout? Strangly, in Poland it strated working ok

If I have my language set to English I cannot watch content in German?? Do you really think everyone only speaks one language?

Love the app but.. wish I could choose to change the quality/resolution of the videos like on YouTube. Also, wish I could add Eng subtitles when I watch French shows as German dubbed versions.

Arte produce a lot of great content. I like their style and especially their documentaries are fantastic. Often they do investigative journalism. With this app you can download content and watch it offline. Great!

So glad there's an app for this and also with offline downloads! Much better! A lot of programmes that are inspiring, informative, and entertaining with the concert ones!

~arte tv app dear arte team, you have to definitely make it possible to fast forward by a smaller speed ,not only 2 minutes, the conventional way would be much more appreciated und resuming the videl after leavingzhe app is a must!

App works great for livestreaming to Chromecast. High quality content, as usual with Arte. I love that you can switch audio between multiple languages (de/fr/ov).
