Arthritis Gout Uric Acid Diet

Arthritis Gout Uric Acid Diet is a free app containing information about gout arthritis or high uric acid disease symptoms causes treatment diet & food tips. Gout is a kind of arthritis caused by a high buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints. Uric acid is a breakdown product of purines that are part of many foods we eat.
crystallization of uric acid compounds in joints can cause painful attack of arthritis, kidney stones, and if not treated carefully may also cause blockage of the kidney filtering tubules with uric acid crystals, leading to kidney failure.
The small joint at the base of the big toe is the most common site for an attack.
Other joints that can be affected include the ankles, knees, wrists, fingers, and elbows. In some patients the acute pain is so intense that even a bed sheet touching the toe causes severe pain. People may experience gout with deposits of uric acid crystals in their finger joints.

Obesity, excessive weight gain, moderate to heavy alcoholconsumption, high blood pressure, and abnormal kidney function are among the common risk factors for developing gout. Certain drugs and diseases can also cause increased levels of uric acid. Also, hypothyroidism patients are at increased risk of developing gout.
Eating healthy diet and living a healthy lifestyle may help cope with the situation.
Patients with the high blood uric acid levels are restricted of eating a high protein diet because the purine content in foods like pulses, red meats, full cream dairy products are high. They should strictly avoid organ meats.
Maintaining adequate fluid intake or drinking plenty of water and healthy fluids help prevent gout attacks and decreases the risk of kidney stone formation in people with gout.
Foods rich in vitamin C like lemon, tangerines, oranges also helps in lowering the uric acid levels.
So eat a healthy and balanced diet, do regular exercising, give proper rest to the site of gout attack.
