Operates as intended. Sometimes settings can be unclear or hard to find, but that could just be user error. Overall it's pretty dependable.
Love the ease of the app. However, it doesn't have everything as the website, when being away from a computer makes a little difficult.
This app is extremely limited. It does the bare minimum on transfers. It doesn't update information so my old address remains in the bankruptcy files after I update it on the app. Twice as much work. It doesn't have much to work with outside account capabilities. It is good to show what's in the accounts. There is a lot of room for improvement.
The app is great for keeping up to date on my accounts. I dropped one star because the mobile check deposit feature kept taking too bright of a photo to see details of the reverse side of the check. I had to move into a dark space to get it where hopefully it will be accepted. It was still not a good photo. Looks washed out and too bright. I just made the deposit so hopefully it will be acceptable.
The mobile check deposit portion took multiple times to get to work. This was the first time using that feature and I had to close the app 3 times, then uninstall/ reinstall, and still had to close the app two more times to get it to work. Whenever an error occurred there was no way to back out of the error message. The app had to be closed and the process started all over again. The other features of the app I have not had any issues with
It's a solid app with a clean, sleek look. It has limited capabilities, which is fine because sometimes you need to visit a branch. Anyone complaining about how this app is difficult to use is definitely experiencing user error. The only thing I dislike about it is that the messages in the top left corner are a waste of time and they'd be better off removing the feature entirely.
Like the app a lot - very convenient and complete. Recently lost ability to access with fingerprint reader, can't seem to find a way to reenable. Don't know if it's app or phone, but phone is unchanged. Not critical by any means, just a little loss of convenience.
Love the app as I don't have to jump through hoops to connect. Much better than the less than stellar online banking.
I would give another star but mobile deposit isn't up to par for everyone's convenience. I cannot take a picture of my checks at all for mobile deposit. I am running Oneplus 6 with Android 9 and the app launches the camera and I followed the instructions and kept trying to take a picture doesn't work at all. The option where I can turn off and on and even automatic for the flash works. This needs to be taken to account for fixation. It applies whoever is making this app apparely have bugs on certain Android builds. This bug applies to Ascend FCU and a few other Federal credit unions because it has the same issue too.
We haven't experienced any bugs in the app the past few years since we opened it. Easy to use... Great app!
Ascend is great to be a part of. The mobile app and the web site are set up nicely and easy to navigate.
You guys changed to this app before my bank in Mississippi did. Since you both use the same app it is easy to use.
The only thing I do not like about the app is that I cannot see loan information on the app, ie., rate, correct interest amount due on next payment. Per the Loan Officer I spoke to she has to manually calculate the amount every month and I receive an invoice in the mail. Easier for me and cheaper for you if I can do it on line.
It's great for needing to know account balances and make transfers. I haven't used the deposit feature, but tried to apply for car financing and after inputting all the info, it wouldn't finish the transaction.
While some features still need improvement, overall, this app is quite simple & easy to use.
The app is pretty good, I dont usually have any issues. Sometimes it will close out saying error. One of my main issues is it doesnt have a place to send a message to customer service with issues, and it doesnt allow you to select a single transaction to inquire more about it.
Just want to thank Ascend for they're readiness to help...a very personal type relationship that Ascend brings to the table.. so many things they do to cover one's needs... Thank You.
Noticably better than it used to be...... thank goodness !! The only problem I still have is that this app has some how "lost" (?????) it's finger print log on abilities. That leaves me with no other choice than to enter a rather cumbersome and complex password each time I try to check my balance.
Like the app EXCEPT... before the update I could transfer money from my account to a mortgage in another account. Now that isn't possible. I have to call and wait on the phone forever. I ask about progress made in this matter every time I call and cannot believe that this hasn't been resolved by now. Obviously customer satisfaction isn't a priority with Ascend.
The purpose of an app is convenience. You can't access popmoney and they make you use a whole different app to access and setup alerts for your account. I'm quite sure there is software out there that allows you to combine this feature.
Ascend credit union app. It makes things a lot easier, I can move money around when I need to, after hours and so much more. Not only is the app convenient, the customer care you get from within the credit union itself is above and Beyond courteous. I love banking at the credit union, also, I love this app. Michealjohns
setting up a payment on this app is tricky. The payment date is very very tricky. becarefull because this bank app plays with the wording and shows you LOTS of different dates to trick and or confuse you. This the biggest issue i have with this app. I hate feeling manipulated and or tricked into paying fees to corporate and that is what Ascend does when you setup future payments using their app.
Very user friendly! The app is so easy to use and you can make transfers in seconds. Apply for loans or credit cards. It isbthe best mobile banking app i have ever used. Full disclosure...ive never used any other!
check capture brings up the camera and nothing happens. Toggle for light doesn't do anything, it never recognizes anything. One time months ago I think I got it to put a bracket around a check but never has worked. Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Related note, tried to log into account via web, didn't recognize device, 50 minutes later still no email to let me authorize device. Get it together peeps, this is Covid-19 times, make this stuff work so people don't have to risk their lives to deposit a check so they can pay someone for food.
Doesn't accept fingerprint anymore and wouldnt accept my password. Reset password and it won't go past the screen you get when it texts you the number that you text back to them to let them know it's you. Says to go back to app but app just sits on that screen and doesn't change.
I love it! Less trips to town and immediate information and transaction capabilities. I stay on top of my accounts, pay bills, and deposit checks, frequently. I feel badly for those people who don't have that luxury where they bank!
Overall its gets the job done. It is however very glitchy and lacks common features. Fortunately they are slowly catching up to other banking apps with these features. One specific complaint is the mobile check deposit it very bugy and has low limits.
I like the app. Biometrics is smooth and easy, or a user name and password. No major hoops to jump through if you forget your password. No large down times for maintenance. No odd disconnects. It does what it is supposed to.
