AsciiCam

The app is straightforward, transforming the camera field of view in a 112×64 array of "letter pixels" that is less of an ASCII and more of letterized pixel art. Keeps well with the 60 FPS refresh rate, and is efficient. Unfortunately, trying to use the front camera crashes the app.

pretty good i like that you can edit the characters used and that it saves the picture in a text file, all it needs is some more features like custom colours, ability to change the size of the characters ans ability to record video

It's alright, but not true ASCII art. The photos in the description are as promised, so if you like those, then go for it. The icon with the lines is not realistic, so if you like those, then leave this app aside.

Awesome app. But is there any way you could add the ability to adjust the amount of characters used to create the image? I would like to make images small enough to fit in a text message if possible. Thanks!

wow, that's pretty awesome. i wish there was an easy way to export the text of the image but still i can work around it. very impressed with this app.

Okay app, but when I try exporting as text it just doesnt work. It "exports", just it exports nothing at all. Fix t this, 5*.

Now this camera is amazing. If it wasnt for the fact that you can only take horizantal images, it would have been perfect. works as expected

it's ok, it does what it says.. but it just takes pictures... no export option?? i wanted ascii, so why can't i save them as such?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. It also works much better than I was expecting, and I'm genuinely impressed. So impressed that this is an unprompted review. It's that good.

The camera works beautifully, but you can't select other images to be turned into ASCII

There must be a glitch. After installing this app every photo that i download be ones ascii. How to fix this?

Default filter unfortunately crashes on Huawei mate 20. Other filters work.
