Absolutely awful. After spending £80 on food and for a delivery on express for same day, of the 49 ordered items only 28 of them got delivered and after calling support about the missing items and going over the missing items I was due a refund for the missing items with email reciepts. One day later, I have no emails and the refund was only paid back by not even half. This company is an absolute joke and if I shop from asda it will be in-store by hand. Do not use this app.
This app is excruciatingly painful to use. The search is slow and buffers. The payment page gets stuck frequently. Regular updates make no difference or improvement. Very poor user experience.
So gone to amend my order, the total was £90 + however once it allowed me to amend the total dropped to under £ 60, not helpful. Spent time having to check what had been removed before I could amend. Why in God's name would you do this. Convenience flies out of the window. If you don't want the custom get rid of the app then at least we know. Would actually help if the order showed in some kind of order. Clearly too much to ask.........
I have problems with this app all the time. Any type of "loose fruit/vegetables" no longer show up on the app - this has been a problem for over a year now. They definitely have it at my store as I've been there...! Also now "lamb mince" has disappeared and is also definitely still available at my store. Fix it!
Don't waste your time with this app. You'll order your items, then several hours later get notified that some of your items are not in stocks. Well it was when I ordered it and there's no way to cancel your last few items cuz they're preparing the Only one item that charges you £12 or so which is 3 times the amount of the item you ordered..
Worst app I have ever used.. can't find items, you need to get through a maze of options that all sound the same while being bombarded with ads the entire time, just for the whole thing to fail after you finally get past all the security checkpoints.. it should be 0/5 absolutely horrible experience
I spent £108 in shopping yesterday, a very long time to order. In they morning, I received an email stating that some of the items ordered were out of stock. When I tried to eliminate them on the app, there wasn't an option for it. They make it so difficult to eliminate the items THEY WANT TO SUBSTITUTE even though it has an "amend" option, but they make it so difficult to JUST SIMPLY eliminate the substitutes that "were out of stock". It was a very unpleasant experience, so I had to cancel it.
Apart from the occasional short shelf life I'm extremely pleased with the online service asda provides. The app is clear and easy to use and if needed help is only a phone call away. Have been a customer with asda for over 44yrs and would highly rate it.
It's signs me out EVERY TIME and doesn't remember my password, so I have to go and find my password and copy and paste it back into the app!? If it wasn't for this, it would be pretty darn good, but it's just annoying if I want to add one thing to my shopping list and spend 5 minutes signing in...
The Asda app is in good shape at the moment. Use on Android. For first time , if in favourites, you can search for an item and can return to favourite list where you left it without it resetting to top of list. All functionality seems OK.
Update: Products in "Your Trolley" are grouped randomly even if you choose "Departments View".NEW PROBLEMS 1. a useless banner telling you about missing favourites is taking up space when searching through favourite items. 2. App no longer allows login details to be saved so you have to log in manually every time.
The app is awful. Logs me out all the time. When trying to log back in, treats me as new customer. Have to uninstall app & reinstall again. Says items in stock, then on checkout says they're not, but still show in stock while shopping. Doesn't show half the items in store, I've purposely been in store and items on shelves but pit of stock on app. Glitchy, glitchy, glitchy.
Agree with the comments about the click and collect service "check in" element no longer works. Also number of products either not listed or shown as not available but if I go in store they have loads. Very frustrating. Customer service phone line also not helpful.
Awful service. Most of my shopping was missing. They gave me a partial refund but no goodwill gesture. Most of the time the items have a short date span and last time the tomatoes were mush and the cucumber soft. When I ordered click and collect the order was cancelled as they were short staffed.
Worst groceries delivery app! They cancelled because they couldn't process payment which shouldn't happen, everything is good with my bank account. The other day delivery man didn't show up, didn't call and said later that address was wrong. Will never even try to order anything there
Not showing updated order. So I use amend order, submit the amended order, receive the confirmation email with the order amended, but....... In the app the order remains as it was prior to the amendment, so which order will I get???? Also, would be good if when amending the new items are shown in their department with other items from the same department, not in the order that you have put them in the basket. Really needs to be updated to work correctly.
Glad to see ongoing glitches that were present for months have been sorted out. However, now there's another problem/inconvenience. Why has the feature to de-select automatic substitutes on all products in basket disappeared from online and app? It is highly frustrating to have to untick every item in my list individually as I normally untick everything and prefer to choose the items I want subs for!!! I've increased my rating accordingly, but sincerely hope this feature will be reinstated soon.
Doesn't work, needs a major sort out. Crashes, freezes, you can't do what they tell you to and say you are on your way or check in, it just says something went wrong. not customer friendly and very unhelpful. other shops can get this right, why can't Asda?! been using click and collect for several years, constantly leaving same feedback and still they do nothing about it nor do they even acknowledge the issue.
The app is terrible, but not 1 star terrible. The shopping/paying part is actually quite good. Categorised or able to search with no issues. If items get subbed you either get reduced price or better items at no extra cost. It does sign me out often or buffers constantly so I can't see my orders and the pick up button isn't always there when collecting. Other than that it does the job.
Almost never my order has been delivered when I wanted. I'm not talking about a seconds or a minutes, but dozens of minutes, at least. And, the second problem, substitutes. It's OK, if you have a time to change your order. But, if you have a message about the substitute two hours before the delivery time, you can change nothing. The third time is availability of certain items. You have seen them at a store one hour ago, actually a huge pile of them, but in the app it's not available.
Disappointing. It's really saying something when the dedicated app for shopping is a far worse experience than the website (which I know a lot of people are using instead of the app). My latest gripe is the constant display of unavailable items: if it's not available, don't display it, or show it as unavailable.
Absolutely useless now for click and collect, there is no way to check in anymore on the app, and if it's automated, it does not work anymore, I was sat outside for 30 minutes trying to find anyway of checking in, email didn't work and their automated phone system doesn't ever connect you to a real person. Appalling
Used to work fine. For the last 6 weeks or so when I try to add anything to my basket it says 'sorry there has been a technical error', and won't let me add anything. Really frustrating. Given up! Went and tried again today. Half way through placing my order it stopped working. Uninstalled and re installed the app but just stuck on home screen. Will shop elsewhere from now on.
Always slow. Doesn't ever let me click on my way. Most of the time doesn't even show our order so we turn up to collect and have to wait for it to be picked. Its rubbish. Most of the time the qmend feature doesn't work. Most things are constantly out of stock. You even get charged to amend an order! Best thing about it is the refund feature.
