This is an AMAZING app and worth purchasing. Thank you for showing us authentic signs and also having the grammar sections, as well as synonyms and such is extremely helpful. Thank you NTID.
Was a good app now it won't play the videos. It's been days now still not working. I tried reinstalling the app still not working.
Easy to use, lots of regional variety. 10/10
Easy to use
RTID is the gold standard
Very helpful and handy, but the video quality isn't all that clear and the app is kind of laggy. I wish it had a text description of the sign for use in areas with slow/limited internet access. It's also missing quite a few words but it has the main ones you would need
It seems like the problems the app had with the constant crashing have been addressed. This has definitely been a welcome change and now I use this constantly to learn new signs or practice old ones. The short videos and putting the signs within context is a great feature.
RIT is unparalleled. Once you look up a sign, it not only gives you the sign but for most it also offers at least one sentence using that sign so you can see it in context. And, it suggests similar signs you might want to look at for comparison. I have tried several ASL dictionaries and this is the best by far. Clear, professional, and extremely helpful to any ASL student.
This app has been incredibly useful. It demonstrates many signs that the alternatives do not and many of the signs are more common than those shown in other apps, at least among my group of friends. I also love the grammar guide. That said, it currently has a connectivity issue which can be very annoying. The user sometimes needs to press "Retry" several times before a video loads.
But needs more features like slow motion. Most of the videos are almost to fast to see the full sign. I like that it gives similiar words to the one you looked up. But needs more polish. Some signers look grumpy, facial expressions do not really match the sign they are showing.
I'm learning ASL and so far I love it. This app was recommended to me from a deaf friend who is helping me I payed $1.99 and had no idea what to expect and I really love it one thing that I would like to see but is not super important would be like games or flash cards :)
Reliable source of ASL signs. I've been waiting a long time for this app to come to Android. The only downsides are that it needs an internet connection and it's not as comprehensive as I would like. It's still great though.
Love the app. Helps me communicate with the students as I work in housing. However. Since the oreo upgrade, the app quit working. I know you're busy with your 50th anniversary, but please fix it!
I like most of the App, yet there are some words whose videos don't play; leaves me feeling quite frustrated.
The way the app is setup Is really good. The video quaility is bad and the videos and sign are old. They need to be updated.
It says I'm never connected to Internet. It was perfect til about a week ago
Whether I am connected to Wi-Fi or using my network the videos play for a split second then I get a pop message saying to check my connection. I can't learn a thing.
This app is awesome for learning how to sign but needs more in the way of grammar I think.
Great! Good example videos, lots of helpful words offered, and so smart to list similar signs!
I'm a very proud Alumni of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf! So proud of this project.
Old signs and East Coast signs, so if you live west of the Mississippi these will only be good reference for communication or terping for older folks from the Eastern U.S.
I like the signers a lot on this app- they sign fast but clear-
Crashes +90% of the time. Totally unusable.
It skips al the time, and I know it not my connection, refund please
I really liked it when it worked.
More British signed then actual Asl
This is the best ASL app I've found. It's not perfect though. There are at least a few words missing that I've noticed. And the suggested related words aren't good. But overall it's a very helpful app.
