Aspect - Audio Files Spectrogram Analyzer
Spectrogram will show the differences in the frequency range when lossless encoding an audio signal and when lossy encoding.
For MP3 and OGG files, it is also easy to see the effect of the coding bit rate on the presence of high frequencies in the audio signal.
Features:
- Allows you to select the decoding method of the audio signal - through the codecs supplied with the device or through the codecs of the BASS project (see the page “About”).
- Supports audio file formats:
3GP, FLAC, M4A (aac), MP3, MP4, OGG, OPUS, WAV
and in the case of choosing BASS additionally:
AIFF, APE, DSF, M4A (alac), MPC, WV
- Allows you to select the color palette of the spectrogram.
- Shows the audio signal parameters.
- Shows the characteristics of the codec used to decode the audio signal.
- Allows you to select an audio channel.
- Builds a spectrogram in both standard and full-screen mode (without axes and action bar), both in portrait and landscape orientation of the screen.
- Allows you to listen to the Spectrogram or its selected part in Zoom Mode.
- In the Zoom Mode, you can select and examine a part of the spectrogram in more detail and repeat this process as long as the duration of the selected section is more than 1 second.
- Automatically adjusts time and frequency scales.
- No Ads.

This app is honestly amazing, it helped me determine the difference in quality and bitdepth between 2 FLAC files showing me which one is truly lossless. No complaints from me. Also it's amazing that this is pretty much the only app of its kind on Android (as far as I could tell) and it still manages to accomplish its purpose flawlessly. Cheers to the Devs, great work!
As good as it gets for spectrum analyzers. Works just like Spek for Windows, and will not let you down. Flip the screen tho, and keep on every setting but the top one. Thank me later. You're now cruising with the best app for audio analysis for file quality or whatever else on this cursed but lovely platform.
It would be better but the problem is that you cannot zoom in or spread it out longer so you can actually look at the picture so please fix that, this app has a lot of potential so please because everything is scrunched together and you can't make it out, thank you...
Thank you for the corrections on the usage and works perfectly. A fantastic app ... in fact searching trough the app stores for hours this is the only viable and fully working specrogram ... audio to image or whatever medium you use. ☆☆☆☆☆
Almost perfect. The only problem is I can't see above 24kHz. there would be no other option if i could just analyze all the way up through the full 96kHz range.
overall great app but cannot zoom in regarding frequency axis as I am not interested up to 22KHz, Id love to be able too zoom in and see the spectrum up to the frequency band I am interested in, you can even have some presets rather than 22k only like, 5k, 10k, and 22k.
GREAT app just what I've been looking & waiting patiently for. BUT.. I need help with calibration, all the info under " help" in the menu just confuses me terribly. I apologise for my lack of knowledge on the subject but i really need this too work & am eager to learn more about it. So please, somebody! - ~¥ maybe the creator? [= ¥~ -ANYBODY! ×°§ & if any fellow users of The "Aspect" App; that may perhaps be willing to help me out? I would be extremely happy & overwhelmed with gratefulness! §°×
Great. You can analyse mp3 and see if it is truly 320kbps. There's a Window's version of the app too.
Easiest way to detect low quality records. I did not find how to handle batch of files or all from a folder (one by one). Maybe feature will appears in some future release.
Was trying to figure out this weird screeching/singing trumpet sound that would echo and vibrate through my lil town every night for 3 months. With this app and another one I could record the sound and isolate it from the background noise and see the frequencies and compare....long story short it turns out and old rusty oil pump about 15 miles outside of town that would start up and pump at night. Those 3 months were winter so cold stiff rusted steal slowly squealing as it rubbed together. Lol
wish there's vertical zoom option. nice app anyway, the frequency displayed is surprisingly clear, beyond expectation.
Nice, but it would have been better if the graph would be scalable, that is, to provide zoom controls.
Not sure how to switch channels.. And there's an annoying beep(?) when going fullscreen(?). Otherwise it works okish
At first I did not understand spectograph and how to read it then I took the time to read about it and how it works. To my surprise this may be the only app very accurate and easy to read.
WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! Thanks to the developer for bringing an app that allows you to see the spectrum like Spek on PC! I've been needing this tool for years now on android.
Have waited too long for a spec app. All the others just take mic input, not read from files. Thank you.
I can't even give a real review because when I try to run any mp3 file through it, it just straight says "File Format not supported". 1 star for now.

Almost all the negative reviews are do to people not knowing what they are doing along with the purpose of this app. Developer is awesome, responding to a lot of people who have issues.
Very Superior but able to add in cut off point? So is more easier where is it exactly. Hopefully you will able to add in this function 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Very cool but some more analysis options / info displays could make it even better. Notably, I'm yet to strike a format this can't open.

Crashes. Does not read mp3 even though it says it can. Totally not able to use.
I got this app to inspect files for an ARG(Alternate Reality Game), and converted one of the audio files that was seemingly going to be important into an mp3. I tried to apply it to the app, as it advertises the ability to read mp3 files, yet it didn't work. I tried poking around with it, and converted to an mp4 to try to apply it, but that failed as well. Edit: further analysis has discovered that the issue may have arisen due to the file being used, as other mp4s and mp3s worked as expected.
