Over a month later and I still cannot do a basic transfer, support as broken as the app. I reached out to support over a month ago on April 4th asking for help with an issue where any transfer I attempt from one account to another just gives a generic error. They keep promising to give me a fix but a month later I still have not even gotten an ETA. They do not contact you with any updates, you have to nag them. This is still not resolved and I am closing my account.
Migrated over from wells Fargo a few years ago. It's a comparatively pleasant, stress-free banking service. When Wells stole my money by disconnecting my aspiration account every time I submitted a payment, customer service offered to reimburse me for the "failed payment fees". My only complaint is that second accounts for existing members still seems to be way off in the distance. My partner and I want to get a joint banking account, I can't seem find anywhere else I'd like to do that with.
I love this bank and it's value driven organization, but this app REALLY needs some TLC. I have had it for a month and I have submitted maybe 5 support tickets from errors, crashes, and glitches - which is REALLY disconcerting from a place where your money is stored. Want to pay your credit card bill? Error. Want to transfer funds? Error. The best responses I've gotten from support are "try doing that not in the app". Which is for sure the answer, but if it is, maybe just don't have an app.
Pretty good so far. A little slow with transactions in progress, things show as "pending" a bit longer than I'ld prefer. Also need to add a quick payment method like Zelle - unless I just haven't figured that out yet. But definitely user-friendly and environmentally conscious which is why I'm using it. 👍
Cons: graphically not appealing. But big deal! Pros: Simple and I do like simple! Been with aspiration for a while now so far so good! I actually haven't had one issue. And thats is a first for a bank for me! Sign The guy who don't want no issues when it comes to getting his money! And definitely don't want to stand in a line and wait! And don't leave me on the phone talking to a robot cause I won't do business with you company! B! I didn't have no problem like that with aspiration thankyou
Originally I gave it a 5 star review, my wallet was stolen and I had no issues canceling my card and ordering a new one, but I figured I could use the digital card they give you. When I tried using it the old digital card is the only one that shows up and was cancelled after I got the physical one. Now I'm trying to pay bills and had contacted support to help me, but the new digital card won't show up in the app or on pc and now it's been over a week and support hasn't contacted me back.
The app will never display balances and the check deposit function has been broken for nearly a year. Currently evaluating alternatives to move my funds. The mission is not backed up with execution. This is simply bad QC and the customer suffers. Before you respond to contact support, I have. They don't follow-up
This app is great if you like having your money stolen from you. I have $158.76 right now that aspiration can give me no explanation for why I got taken off my account after it sat in pending and I never spent a penny of it. It never posted to my account and now it's nowhere to be found but yet they tell me that I spent the money. If it's in none of my transactions list except for when I initially deposited, then shouldn't there be a post of the transaction for WHERE my money went? CROOKS
I love this bank, and this app is really good. They are constantly improving and adding features. The only thing I would like to see them add is a way of obtaining cashier's checks. Without that I'll always have to rely on a traditional bank for things like buying vehicles from private owners.
One of the best banking apps I've used. Very user friendly, aesthetically pleasing interface. Super simple to find what you're looking for, and I haven't ran into many issues with processing transactions or understanding policies. The FAQ and help resources are pretty robust as well. Plus, the option to round up each purchase in order to donate to tree donation is a nice way to passively help the planet a bit.
The app simply doesn't work. I would love to keep this card and service and love the concept, but nearly every action is full of bugs. Wanna see balance? Too bad. Want to pay your bill? Won't load. Want to check your trees planted? Sorry try again. Fix the glitches, when you're handling customers money, things like seeing the balance are CRITICALLY important. You're slowly losing a customer here.
Transferring your money takes forever. It's out of your account within one day but it takes almost five business days to show up in your aspirations account. The app itself is okay but the service they provide takes way too long I transfer money to my Paypal account it's usually there within one to two business days. If I deposit money or send money to this account on a Monday I'm lucky if I have it by Friday it's usually Monday of next week that I get it very disappointing
The app refuses to let us see our balance in Spend & Savings. It also will not let us deposit any checks because it keeps giving us an error notification. I have already contacted customer service through email & calling the number & have gotten nowhere closer to resolving this issue. Supposedly the issue has been sent to the IT department, but I have heard nothing for 2 weeks. FIX THE DAMN APP!!!! This is ridiculous. *Update: 2 months and still no answers! Terrible customer service.
I really wanted to like this bank but it's not for me because the requirement of spending $1000 on your debit card to get interest on your savings accounts is too much of a hassle. Also, the published interest rates are very high but if you account for the annual fee and the foresaken credit cards points (to spend the required amount on the debit card) the deal is not nearly as good. Also, ACH transfers are veeerrryyy slow, slower than any other bank I've had.
Great account, the technicals are terrible. It's not a scam, they just need to work on the back end. I've been waiting a while to get a few problems resolved, but they're more nuisances than red flags. Customer service is helpful as much as customer service can be, but the devs need to fix some kinks I've been on the recieving end of and have been for months.
STAY AWAY!!! I linked my bank account during sign-up and also agreed to schedule a future transfer to fund my account, assuming I'd have the option to cancel it if I ultimately decided against using the app. Not only is there no option to cancel it but support claims that they are unable to cancel that type of scheduled transfer...that is so far beyond absurd that it's borderline criminal and definitely an extremely terrible business practice.
I did an instant transfer of my funds out of my cashapp into my aspiration account of right at $5,000 and once I did this it did not go into my account instantly and it took days to actually finally show up but as soon as it did start to process into my account that's when they locked my account to where I could no longer log into the app and then they closed my account and had no reason as to why they would do this! Now I still don't have access to my money and told have to wait for a check?
High hopes but so frustrating! The app continually states some form of "please try again later" when trying even the most basic of functions (like accepting my Aspiration Zero offer). Please fix your tech, mass adoption is yours to lose 😕 Also, how is auto-pay not available?? I was truly inspired and excited to be a new customer of Aspiration but there are so many basic functions that are missing.
Reconfirm your address BEFORE applying for their credit card if you already have a Spend and/or Save account. You may thank me. The app has begun working since my last review, so that's worth some stars. I was able to eventually contact a customer service agent which was much harder than it should have been. Though my issues are mostly resolved, the inconvenience has exceeded the benefits (of the app and accounts.) 3 stars is almost too much
I'm happy with the account, but the app just keeps not working for a few days at a time. It claims password or login is incorrect, when the same works on the mobile website. Guaranteed the same as both are autofill from the same source. There also seem to be feature regressions without communication. Used to get notifications on debit card use. They no longer seem reliable, even when the app is working.
The app is a teensy bit buggy at times and could use some added functionality such as more robust notifications, but overall it's a great mobile banking experience.
Very easy and friendly app. Has the same features as a normal bank would except for the convenience of going inside a branch. Like it very much
I am totally enjoying this app & all that it offers. I have planted 59 ACTUAL TREES to help our environment. Which is awesome... Plus their Digital debit card is another great feature Which keeps online transactions seperatly if you like. Overall I'm enjoying this app & the features of your company.
I really love this bank. I've made a few mistakes and they helped me fix them . They are curtious and again very helpful. There helping the planet and they reward you for doing the same. Thanks aspiration
I have had this account for almost a year now. I nevee had any issues until I had fraud on my account in a total of almost 300 $$$!!. I called them to report it they took the information and said someone would contact me. I got word about 2 of the transaction about 2 weeks later. It was an email and all it said was the claims department did not find in my favor n9 there info! Bad online reviews close your account now and run!
Honestly just bad from the get-go. Setting up an account via promotional link, everything was fine until it asks me to link another bank account, which I don't want to do yet. Very understandable for a brand new customer to not want their primary account linked to something they're unsure of. So I backed out of that portion then went to login, because all my other options should be saved right? Well it asked to verify again, put my name, social & sent another code, then just said "oops!" Awesome
Missing all money from promotional offer for this and called twice to see and keep getting hung up on. Not cool!
It's taking so long. I've waited months to get my account approved, I've re-submitted my credentials atleast 3 times! This seems like such a lovely bank to work with but everything takes so long. Staff more people because there needs to be more attention to customer support. Not giving up on you yet, but you're losing me. Update: (5/20/22) I've been using it for about a year or now & I love it! It's not perfect no, but I've had no problems. It does what it says it'll do and that works for me.
