Aspire News App

The idea of the app is good but overall poorly executed. It freezes up on me, shows no "news", and I cannot even click half of the tab options without it freezing up. It desperately needs an update. As I have read, I'm not the only one experiencing these tech difficulties. I downloaded this app to maybe help myself in bad situations I've been going through but there is not even the emergency button on my screen I can click. Please update now.

This loaded just fine for me. Even did a test and it works fine. Was kind of tricky where to tap three times but literally just open app, and the top of get help page, three times. The persons on contact list get your pre written message. I hope I'll never have to use it, but it's nice to have.

I'm in an abusive relationship. In fact, I'm scared out of my mind because he's going to be home from work soon & he's been flipping out for days. Anyway, I'm not even in the heat of the moment & I'm having a hard time navigating & getting familiar with the app. I don't even see the part where it records what goes on in the room. I'm keeping it but I'm really worried it won't be helpful.

This app doesn't work. Please don't count on this app to keep you safe. It's not developed enough to get you help in the event of an emergency. Stick with 911, setting friends and family to speed dial & keeping a 2nd phone handy in case your primary phone is taken from you.

I loaded it thinking it could be a game changer. After loaded it provided numbers if in trouble but the attraction was I could make it look like a news outlet. I was never able to make it look like that then it would freeze when I would try to navigate through it. How do I know it's not going to do the same thing in a life or death situation? I sent an email requesting info (in case I made a mistake) I have never received any response. I am so disappointed.

There's no news articles??? The whole point is it's supposed to be disguised as a news app, but it just says "no new articles, check back soon". You can easily apply to be on the Dr. Phil show, but they can't be bothered to fix the most basic aspects of an app that is meant for emergency situations, which is super sleazy. I didn't try any of the emergency functions, but I wouldn't trust them to save anyone's life cause this thing is a mess.

I downloaded the app after watching Dr. Phil. I went through the tutorial and entered my name but was unable to do anything else. The app had froze up. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and will see if it works now. If this is a on going issue it can not ve useful for what it's intended for.

so the triple tap feature works. i just finished talking to the COPS!! I wanted to see if the triple tap feature would text my contacts so i put my phone number. i tapped it a bunch of times and nothing happened. a few minutes later the cops showed up had to talk to them

I'm downloading this app now but reading reviews, I'm hesitant. I know my note 8 has an SOS option in my settings! so for anyone who cant get this app to work, and you have a note 8, check out the SOS option! IT DOES WORK!! I'm not sure what phones have it but if you're in a dangerous situation, please check your phone!! I have a friend who wants to leave so I was looking at this for her. she has an iPhone. I'm going to play on the app but I'm also going to check her phone for the SOS option!

doesn't let you get past typing your name in. just freezes on the news screen and you have to close the app and reopen, and then its sill stuck on the same part. great in theory, a mess in reality.

I can't do anything with this. There are no news articles. I clicked the bar three times it would not let me into the actual Aspire app. The only thing is done so far is turn on my location and give me numbers for abuse shelters. I can't add my contacts or anything to the app.

Doesn't Work. I have a Note 8 and it doesn't show articles nor proceed to another page. On the drop down menu, the sections do nothing whatsoever when pressed. If I could give negative stars I would.

I downloaded this app to try it out first to see if I could recommend it to my clients. It didn't work for me and sent no message. Also the help section provided all the information needed to tell the perpetrator what this app is.. definitely not secure for a person in a dangerous situation

Going through the tutorial caused the app to hang once it went to the "news" screen. There was no way to get off the news screen. i removed the app from my phone

I could not get this to work. There was not one news story, just a note to try again later. Once a week had gone by, it's still the same thing, nothing there. I had sent them an email asking for some direction with no reply. Today I have uninstalled this. To bad, as it seems like a great idea. Bummer

if you just take the time to read this and understand it is very helpful. very easy to understand and save contact put a message in for your contact. im not in need of it at this time but its nice to have a plan and understand all the help that is out there and out reach centers

This app would be amazing if it worked. The distress message does not work and I would not recommend this. It needs serious updating. The idea behind this is amazing, but the fact is that the app doesn't work and is essentially just another news app.

I tried this on both of my daughters iPhones and my android and none of us can get the test run to work. I was feeling really confident about this app considering it is endorsed by Robin Mcgraw and my daughters safety is incredibly important. Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong but I really hoped it would potentially be an additional part of my girls safety.

To add news articles it keeps saying, "come back soon" ? I guess the only way to make sure it works is to send an SOS to our contacts, and tell them it's just a trial run? Will update if articles is fixed, and if it's used and helps me!

very offended that nothing in this app actually works. this is trash. I set my contact and triple tapped the top bar and NOTHING! I SHOULDNT BE TRICKED INTO DOWNLOADING A "LIFE SAVING" APP THAT DOESNT ACTUALLY WORK AND GIVES ME A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY!! I COULD HAVE DIED IF I TRUSTED THIS APP TO SAVE ME!

This app is everything 🙏 i just wish it had not been so openly spoken about on the show. They no longer do it but a truely controling man will literaly find out stuff like this exsist get a full seach of ur phone by the best teccy they no. Or not let u have a phone. I butt diled a few #s in the far past ny xs called it n said i was on a tela dateibg thing? He prob made it up but this has n can save lifes so it should have no longer be spoken about even on refun but TY really!!!

This app is great! I am involved at a domestic violence center as a mentor and I recommend this to all our clients and our students and parents who receive prevention education. It is very fast, sleek, and inconspicuous. Great idea!

Hello, to all those wondering what is up with this app... It is an app disguised as news for people in compromising situations. There is a button you press that alerts authorities and starts recording everything happening ... Just saying

it doesn't let you get past inputting your name. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same thing happened. hopefully there's a fix . this could save someone's life

downloaded on both my phone as well as my daughters and tested it out while giving the speech on when to use it and it didnt work. no messages sent.

This app loaded but I could not find an option to engage or set up my safe contacts as suggested on The Dr. Phil Show. How does this work? I only see new stories after I enter my name. No settings options can be found. ????

I downloaded and set it up and the app kept freezing and no news sites would open. I saw this on Dr. Phil. And was excited. But I'm going to have to delete if i can't get it to work right.

It wont work! Second phone ( Different Company) and still wont work. Unlike some of the reviews Ive read, I am currently and have been in a very complicated marriage for 14 yrs so I really need this App. Entered my name and thats it! Plz fix this, so I have it when i need it. Plz....

it did work. it sent my message silently to my wife, although it said the address was 1005, instead of our actual address of 1000. That COULD be a big deal if it sent the wrong location when someone is trusting that their location is being sent correctly. it did have alot of different resources under the education tab. HOWEVER, I echo what others have said, How do you let people who might need this app know about it without also letting the abuser know?

Misleading app. No news articles. No functionality. Only gives you numbers to call hotlines. Don't download. Complete waste of time.
