aSpotCat - Permission Checker

Works perfectly on my rooted phone. The user who said "modern" android phones have this functionality built-in is a level 1 user (knows how to turn on a phone). Try searching for a specific obscure permission by string name with the built-in settings and tell me how it goes ;)

Does not list categories of permissions at all (it's either "uncategorized" or "no permissions required"), and it shows ads EVERYWHERE. Not worth the hassle. I've uninstalled.

app is good, even developer responds to any queries but don't understand why 7 trackers are included in the app even for pro version. got checked by Exodus privacy app found 7 trackers. immediately uninstalled. i have chamged to 5 star only because of the prompt response from the developer, Appreciate it. Moreover the developer confirmed all AD cookies are disabled once upgraded and the rest of the cookies are mentioned in the privacy policy. Cheers Sam for clarification.

Doesn't accurately show current app permissions. After revoking a permission via phone settings, this app still shows that permission as being active for that app. Uninstalled. Will maybe check later to see if that problem has been resolved.

It doesn't show all permission that app has obtained or allowed;. It only shows app specification that an app demands or needs. It also doesn't support system apps. This is vague information. Not much useful.

Updated rating after dev responded. There are fine grain permissions with a little blue icon. Previous review: Only shows grouped permissions. Not fine grain

This app has become obnoxious with notifications and ads. It's also not an app you'll be using on a daily basis and should probably just stay out of your way.

New Generation of smartphones with up-to-date Android OS already have builtin permission manager & checker, but the app icon was funny & it was recommended by a YouTube influencer but I Uninstalled it, sorry.

lets me easily see all the apps for each category. like why does this game need to make phone calls ? etc those are now all gone. great app

Not particularly useful, as it lists apps in each permission category even when that permission is disabled for that app. So what's the point? It needs a setting to give the option to only lost an app in a permission category if that permission is in fact enabled.

Hi, Im using this App for quite long, it just for me to get to know more informations about the apps permissions. Please tell me what the meaning of protection level is signature, and theres a strikeout in the permission words. Does the app is allowed or not permitted? Im still using OS version jellybean and I dont see any settings to control the Apps permissions, Do we have any ways to see which permissions are allowed and which permissions need to ask whenever it requires the permissions? Thanks
