It used to work. But not anymore. I was using this for about a year. Does not work anymore. Unable to connect. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot. Check and double checked the settings. In the app and in the router. Still won't connect. No error message. This app has become useless. I checked all updates. The app and the router. Unable to connect.

Utterly abysmal. Used to work ok ish but now this update seems to connect at such a slow speed you can't stream anything anymore. I rolled back to .094 and now it can't connect to the router if I'm not on the same network. I should never have updated it. Its lost more functionality then ever

Little to no documentation how to successfully set it up. There should be a step-by-step instructional video by the manufacturer. After watching several YouTube videos finally figured out how to get this app to work and connect to my router. When I try to upload a PDF the app instantly crashes! Also I would like to see a thumbnail view of pictures that I upload! Thumbnails never consistently show up. If they do I would like to be able to make them larger to see the detail of the picture.

Aside from the interface being clunky and constantly having to agree to ToS (I am over the age of 16 dialogue box) every time you navigate to another subfolder or device, the app provides the most basic of functionality but is inconsistent and the settings are not as clearly defined as they should be. The lack of encrypted communication is worrisome as well. Unfortunately this is not the only Asus app that has these issues.

After the most recent update, the router is always offline and it is impossible to re-add it (IO error). Don't you test compatibility when releasing updates? A similar thing happened last year to the same effect and I had to downgrade the router firmware. And you can't be bothered to answer even after one year!

I think the Asus Apps QA team needs to do more testing on scenarios where wifi signal ceases and 4G data kicks in and also when 4G signal ceases and wifi kicks in WHILE the app is open. This is the source of frustrations. Connection type becomes either local,ddns or unknown when these boundaries transit. And after that the app gives up totally and becomes offline regardless of changing to wifi or 4G mode and despite relaunching. only way is to Unlink and then re-add router. 2 stars for the UI.

Good in concept but usually unstable. Does not download any file to my local mobile device. Also does not allow sharing of files. The app ends up signing out after viewing any file through the devices default viewer (eg pdf). This becomes a frustrating exercise if I have to view multiple files.

Can connect to asus router, and access samba listed folders, BUT, when you try to play a music file, etc, it locks up and says " file not exist". The files ironically do exist!!!

Terrible AICLOUD app both in Phones and PC. Very unfriendly menus. Can't even read pdf format. Very unstable, can't recommend to use it. If not for the excellent routers and life time aiprotection...... I would have dump ASUS.

Needs more work. Would like to backup phone picture automatically to USB that is attached to Asus router instead of manually. Also back up stops when phone goes to sleep, and app crashes when trying to remove completed jobs. Three stars because of these issues.. Other than things mentioned works for me.

I cannot connect to my ac5300 remotely anymore. it keeps saying its offline. but if I'm on my routers wifi, it connects no problem. so frustrating. please fix. I loved being able to connect to my usb drive.... now getting SSL handshakeexception error when trying to add my router... this app is a nightmare.

LOUSY. Shows my router as offline unless I am on the same network. Tried to configure but nothing solves this issue! Cannot access my attached HDD unless on the same network. FAIL!

Another useless Asus app!! It finds the router but I am not able to login! ! It always give me error that the username or password is incorrect, but I am 10000% sure it is correct as I can connect to it from any browser just fine. Same problem with Asus Router app!!!

Good when working, the cloud and the ftp will stop working after restart of my DSL-AX82U only way to make it work again is restart the modem/router with ejected USB storage once restarted plug back in the storage and it will work again. Once this issue is fixed I'll give the app 5 stars until then it doesn't deserve more unfortunately.

After a major update to the router last year this app can only find the router in network, not remote. works fine using the browser remotely so not sure why the app fails. now useless to me.

I can't upload files from my phone to my SSD connected to the Asus Router. Instruction on the Internets and Asus website do not contain the same interface. I can select to copy file but I cannot paste to my SSD target drive.

Great app for listening music from my 700 songs library on my external hdd. The only problem I have is that once I minimize the app, the song stops playing. Other than that, it enables me to play my songs without the cost of Spotify or any other music streaming app.

it will not connect with my routers login details, as soon as i click submit it instantly tells me they are incorrect, it doesn't even try. Asus apps, like their products are now over priced, over designed, under performing, unreliable and poorly developed.

I can't add my router, I keep on getting a msg saying: Failed to add Router(SSLHandshakeException). I don't see anywhere in the UI where to get the certificate from... please help.

What even is this? It doesn't seem to do anything. I want to stream music like Pandora or sync files like Dropbox and this isn't rocket science but all these ASUS apps look like some kid's abandoned homework assignments. FAQs that don't say anything, help links that 404, stuff written in Chinglish, mostly tho just apps that don't seem to do anything. Disappointed in you, ASUS. If you don't want to do this stuff then don't do it. But don't pee on me and tell me it's raining, either.

I can watch all downloaded movies and videos from USB hdd connected to asus ax-56u router. And also can backup files from my phone to hdd. It's a great apps. Just need to enable media server.

App sudently refuse to download and upload to my external devices. I have 3 ac86u an 1 gt 2900 and none of above work as intended. Not on my tablet and 2 separate phones. Fix it and get 5 stars. Also recently i saw you have a lotof securityconcerns with thisapp

I configured DDNS, but via the internet AiCloud allows me only to see file lists on my router's USB drive and to download the files; it does not permit streaming of media or opening files directly from the router's drive.

So, if you think about using this app to transfer files from your phone to the 'cloud', it doesn't work. You can view the drive but no way to get files on it.

Dissapointed! So far - love all my Asus devices. But come on guys - I purchase cloud storage with you, laptops, routers, the whole nine and things don't work properly. - I'm beginning to lose faith. Can't even find a support person to speak to. What a shame!

Overall a very useful tool. Not so useful currently though as the app keeps crashing every time I try to upload a file.
