Gets only one star due to security concerns. Why does it require access to contacts, why does it require access to record video, photo's and sound, why does it require access to make and receive calls (very questionable)... it is a storage and file management app. Disabling these options kills the app. This is NOT acceptable. I thought that the drive may be handy for storage whilst traveling BUT this extent of access causes me concern.
This app has a very nice U.I. although lacks a Home Button to get back to the Main Menu easily on my TravelairAC device WSD-A1. I have yet to see my battery indicator work even after working with ASUS Tech Support unfortunately. I noticed unstable operation on my Samsung tablets running Android 7.1 & 8.1. My iPod Touch 6th gen on iOS 12.3 seems a bit more stable. ASUS needs to update the app for at least Android 8 & iOS 12 as well as the TravelairAC's firmware. It could be a 5 star app, but no.
useful device and software. unfortunately while transferring files to device 'skip all' function skips everything not just duplicates. it is very annoying and waste of time
Very over reaching permissions requiring access to contacts, phone calls, camera. I don't think any app that is there to access a drive needs access to ANY of these permissions.
Does not work properly - it stops before completing backup - the backup screen freezes. Wondering if the app has been updated for Android 8?
Only uses AiDrive media and thus cannot see 90% of video files. To see a AVI video one must copy to internal SDcard and select a functional player such as VLC. Why can AiDrive not allow selection of other media players?
If you cannot login to the drive you must disable your cellular data and then it will connect. Hope this helps the people who can't connect. 🙃
SD card backup hangs, playback on Samsung Galaxy S8 crashes, Wifi connection hangs even though connected. Whoever if anyone tested this app should be sacked serious dev issues.
This thing doesn't even let me copy any other files other than video and images wirelessly. The app is horrible. I regret the purchase.
Constantly crashing in Android 10. By now this useless developer, who cares less about customers should have fixed a patch. Last updated was 2017. Never buy Asus products. Customer service is very poor.
The app doesnt even load to complete configuration. I am trying to load this into a note8 with updated firmware..
It doesn't copy or move any files. It won't play video or audio. It just allows you to view pictures.
If you are in the US, uninstall this app, click on the developers name right below the app title, that will bring you to all apps by that Dev. Install AiDriveUS
locks up when transferring files from Samsung s8 and won't cancel needs uninstalling each time ? no decent answers o the net
It shuts down immediately after starting on android 10. The app is now unusable.
load of rubbish the app fails to connect to the hatd drive not only on my phone nokia 8 pixel 3 phone Samsung galaxy tab and a ipad absolutely no support from asus hopeless

Second day with the Drive only. There is allot of room for improvement and I know Asus can deliver it. Seems like the Backup "status bar" is buggy - sometimes it will show, other time there is no status. Once the phone with the App goes to "sleep" i.e. turn off after a few minutes, returning to the app means the status is no longer there. For file transfer, the transfer status is also buggy - there is no "succeeded" at all after transfer from SD card to HDD after phone turn off automatically even though it wasn't log off and turn on immediately. Overall I am attracted by the battery life, the price compared to the competitors, the reliable brand, the ideal behind this drive, the capacity chosen. However the app needs major improvement.
Does not work. The app closes after 5 seconds of opening. Unable to connect to drive. Uninstall and reinstall numerous times but no luck.
I'm still unable to use it on android 7. I cannot stream video or even audio via wsd-a1.
This app is totally useless for the purpose it is intended. Yes it connects to the drive and you can see files and play them, but only in alphabetical order, there is no file sorting by artist, album etc and no playlists - unbelivable as this is a 1tb drive enabling us to put thousands of files on it. In addition I intended to use this app on 2 devices, however it only opens on one of them so the hardware is rendered useless to me apparently this is a common issue.
