Since 3g was shut down, the only way to reliably connect is via wifi calling, but only when I am at home. When I am not, forget it. There is no 4g in most of at&t land. It was all hspa+, ie 3.5g. Now that is gone and at&t has ben exposed.
Awful design doesn't tell you your real data usage does not auto connect to hotspots doesn't save hotspot information doesn't really do anything just a waste of space. Has the potential to be a really good at, but it falls short and doesn't smartly move to the better wi-fi signal it just goes to the Wi-Fi signal it's the closest to you not the Wi-Fi signal that has the better data dwload upload speeds or switch to mobile
This is a great app unless you're in an area that is the same distance from 2 Wi-Fi connections or Wi-Fi & a Data Tower. In which case it just keeps bouncing back-and-forth and doesn't make a decision. Please Web-Master/Software Developer... CAN YOU make it (AT&T Smart Wi-Fi) make a decision to pick 1 or the other Wi-Fi's or AT&T Tower within 5 seconds PLEASE?
VPN should show its encrypting a person's transmissions on any and all networks. A user should have the choice where the VPN connects (East coast, West coast, etc. ). The app doesn't show it's even working . This app would be my last choice of VPNs. Express VPN, F-Secure, etc. Is much better.
Horrible app. The only thing I noticed about this app is the high usage of mobile data. with just under 2 weeks left in my billing cycle, this app has used 205mb of my 1gb plan. I've disabled it, but I've done that before and it came back. It's a pointless data hog. Ha! just noticed in the description it says it is to help save your data usage. Ha! That's a joke!
Useless. It would malfunction every time I connected to public WiFi, making it impossible to open the login page. Once I realized it was the culprit, I deactivated it, but just discovered two weeks later that it's still using up a huge proportion of my battery somehow. Extremely frustrating experience.
Inferior Product - Designed to FAIL: This software replaces the automatic data switching and data management that is found in any mobile device. Adding access points through the app does not work - it does not remember them. You need to go to your device software to add access points. If you don't, you will use up your mobile data and not know it. This app does not register the correct amount of data usage. You have to go to your phone's software to find the correct amount. Shame on AT&T!
Have problems all the time , can't connect to Kroger EVER . so even getting a call or sending or receiving a message. Can NEVER CLIP COUPONS FOR HUGE SAVINGS. WISH ATT WOULD Reimburse me for ALL the mone For the money I lost out On.. My brother that has T-Mobile has no problemConnectingRepay triple of what he pays. Also have a problem connecting to my sons Wi-Fi in New Baltimore which should be no problem.. Not happy at all.
I'm trying to get this after work for me and I can't even answer the damn phone I don't know why I wanted to get an operator for my phone and I can't even do that I don't understand what's going on I've been trying at this for two and a half hours now I'm starting to get frustrated only 2 hours into it though
Can't honestly say that I even noticed it working. Maybe? App THEORETICALLY uses a 0-5 star rating system for connecting to WiFi hotspots, but I find no way to rate any hotspots, nor is it mentioned by the USELESS FAQ. Won't automatically switch to strongest signal, unless you loose contact with the network you're connected to first. Never SEEMED to have issues with speed, pop-ups, crashes, or interfering with other apps some had, but I'm going to be reconsidering some of those issues now.
Unable to turn off or delete app. I live in rural area and rarely have wifi available. I never use wifi, so don't need this app. But can't delete.
I dont know whos behind this but most of my apps are advanced then my phone..i have no control over them...even i factory reset my phone..its like a phone factory manufactured, the apps are reading out my internal system and using my other apps against me...
either I can't read or i can't comprehend the instructions. They are confusing and they tell me to check auto connect and this is not an option, is one example. To delete a group of one time connects, I have to delete one at a time. I'm sitting 3 ft from wi-fi connection and had me connected to another connection 90 ft away.
It's really lame . It never connects to att wifi
I'm giving this application three stars. It has been excellent until relatively recently. The issue might be a software issue with my phone. While connected to my home WI-FI network; I frequently get a pop-up page saying my network doesn't exist or "has no Internet or Intranet." Very strange!
It's fine when it works but honestly it crashes more than any other app I've ever experienced. Most of the time it crashes as soon as you launch it so you can't even use it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing files etc and it just won't work. Note 8 and S8 both.
I was informed by AT&T prepaid that my branded Nokia 5.3 wasn't compatible with their upgraded network. They sent me a "free" Knockoff Nokia called Alcatel that won't connect to any wifi, that's what is "smart" about this app. It saves the company by forcing you to purchase a different plan, or go to a different carrier because they don't want prepaid wireless service in this market. I have been charged $600 for the $300 annual plan, and I have not been able to get it corrected.
I don't like my data being used up too fast before my next billing cycle. I try everything i could to avoid that. But it's hard.
Does not work, tells me I need internet...come on AT&T you can do better.
The app seems redundant to the phones built in WIFI capabilities. I guess I initially thought it was making sure I wasn't getting spoofed and provided protection and security. Why do I do I continuously try to take the high road and trust my carrier is providing applications to better my experience rather then to further line there pockets
I find that this app is very useful. I am glad to have this app because it has kept me connected to the internet when I needed it, so many times.
After the recent update it is horrible. Why would you remove a feature with an update and one that helps save battery life? I'm referring to the feature that turns off your wifi when you are not in range. Now if I turn it off when I'm out and about it never turns its self back on when returning home. Used to love this app...
Wifi disconnects several times an hour. Major pain.
I have unlimited data, so I didn't accept the terms, and uninstalled it. A minute later, cell data didn't work, even after restarting, and I had to make space for the new version. I installed the new version and accepted the terms and permissions but cell data didn't work until I took out the SIM and put it back (and broke the back). I re-uninstalled this and then cell data wasn't working again. I tried re-reinstalling but I couldn't. Eventually I factory reset and realized there is an outage
I gave 3 but wavered because it works excellent when real close to the signal but I'm in a motorhome about 30 yards from the house where the wifi signal comes from, my firestick picks up the signal good enough to watch TV with a wifi extender hooked up on the outside of the house facing the motorhome but this Samsung s20 phone has really lousy wifi reception. I wanted to be fair but precise.
