The app has stopped working and has no functionality. You can only see 10 channels on the Guide, it won't allow you to select any other channels. When you search for a program, it won't find anything (since it seems to only be scanning those tem channels), and you can't watch live TV. Very disappointing.

Neverending authentication glitch. WORK-AROUND POSSIBLE. Minimize the app. Wait for about an eight-count. Go back to the app. It might take 3-4 tries. This also works for HBO Max's problems with starting videos, if you play with the time slider first. App works well otherwise, but it would be more useful if I could use my phone to cast programs to a TV screen when I'm away from home. Other streaming apps have this function; there's no reason this one shouldn't.

Only premium channels are showing up in the guide half the time. All of a sudden, all channels are showing. Then, only premium channels are showing...back and forth for inexplicable reasons. So danged frustrating. Might be time to dump all of our at&t services for another company that's more affordable and stable.

Not Enough Options. AT&T costs too much for such a limited app. You can only use it on your phone (when it wants to work) and even then, you can't even watch most of your recorded shows. With Xfinity, you can watch anything you have recorded AND they have a desktop version so you can watch everything on a laptop. AT&T you are starting to lag behind the competition... Update 1/18/22: Now it just buffers at "Authenticating...". Did all the steps others said and still doesn't work.

Up until recently, I was able to view all live programs on all stations on the ATT Uverse app on my Samsung S20FE that are available to us on our home ATT Uverse program list. After installing the updated ATT Uverse app from Playstore, I can no longer view any live local stations. The only options available when trying to view local stations are, Record and Add/Remove. This is unacceptable since I travel frequently and cannot view local live programs (news, sports, etc.).

Finally got it to work by uninstalling the app, turning the phone off, restarting the phone by pressing volume up & power, selecting clear cache partition, rebooting the phone, then re-downloaded the app. The app is glitchy and likes to turn itself off occasionally, but at least it's working, and is better than nothing.

My app hasn't worked in months. It has been stuck authenticating. I've uninstalled the app an reinstalled it with no improvement. I actually used the app so whatever has caused this issue is very unfortunate, and I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed. This doesn't look good for AT&T. This issue has been around for months without a resolution.

This AT&T/Uverse app used to work really well. Now I can't get on at all. Uninstalled app and tried to reinstall app. Now the app won't install. I have been trying since beginning of December. Still can't download the app. The wheel just keeps spinning while it states it is authenticating. Nothing happens. Disgusted with this app. Thinking I will cancel my service.

I had the "old" app on my Google Pixel, and it worked perfectly well. Today, a note appeared, which said I had to get the "new" app. The "new app" continuously crashes, and is useless. Tried to get on ATT forum, and I couldn't even sign in. I have already uninstalled/ re-installed; restarted the phone, etc, to no avail. Hey, ATT! If you're wondering why your stock is crashing, you might consider answering some questions.

Can't watch live sports. I'm paying for uverse, yet can't use the app to watch sports... even within my home. Main TV is occupied, but I'd love to stream the game. Can't... because of this app... Maybe there are some streaming rights rules, etc. limiting this (although other streaming services allow it), but ATT should find a way to look out for its customers. Then again, in my experience, that's not really the ATT way.

I see ATT is back to having a terrible app. Has been give errors that page can't be found, system busy, or failed to load try again later. BUT than I have to wade thru all the sales screens before anything useful shows. Its more like going into a used car lot with all the sales junk then an app to check on my account. WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE.

The features this app offers are great -- when it works. Far too often it just freezes when loading and there's no way to open it until sometime later. Occasionally, it won't allow deletion of recorded programs and sometimes displays the message that the receiver can't be accessed, even when the wi-fi connection is on. The phone remote feature is impossible to program except on one of my receivers and then only works sporadically. I keep hoping that the app will eventually work as expected.

normally works fine (except for ABC. tells me I'm out of the area. Even at home!) lately been having a lot of issues. live TV shows a few seconds then buffers then shows a frozen picture with sound. Called At&t but they don't believe it's the app! Told me to try wifi (still didn't work). Then they told me that they needed to check my receiver (at home)!

I have used this app once. You can't watch recorded shows unless they are available On Demand. At times the video fast forwards on its own. Rewinding doesn't help until the video is far enough ahead that you can rewind to catch up to the audio. If you rewind too soon, it just goes back into fast forward mode. It's ridiculous. And the app stopped 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through both shows I was trying to watch. If they can't come up with something better, they need to just trash it.

Can not use this app on my phone. It plays a show for 30 seconds, buffers and the audio comes on but the show is frozen. Called tech support it was fixed for 10 mins and then the issue came back. Went to the store and they can't figure it out. Works absolutely find on my tablet and my daughter's which happens to be with a different cell company. What the deal with this?

This WAS a great app. Since the last update I can no longer use my phone as a remote. The error is unable to connect to the receiver and suggests that I verify that I am connected to my uverse wifi. After researching the error, I have restarted the gateway and WAP and made sure the receivers were on. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing works. I called tech support and was eventually transferred to a supervisor who was going to email instructions to me last Monday. Still waiting.

This app does not work. It fails to open. It asks for permissions. Even after granting all app permissions several times, the permissions warning appears, and the app never loads. All my other apps work perfectly. It is not my new tablet, it is this defective app. I suggest att take lessons from Netflix. The Netflix app works perfectly over all platforms. I guess that is why, regardless of their cable affiliation, everyone, including me, will always keep a Netflix account.

Xfinity App is better. It allows for you to not only DVR your shows but actually watch your saved shows through their app as well. AT&T doesn't have that option at all. You can DVR, but can not watch any of your saved programs. Also AT&T TV choices are very limited through their app, I don't recall not being able to watch any live channels through Xfinity's app. But I guess it's better than nothing.
