Well, it takes at least a few minutes for the number to show up in the app when a voicemail is left. It takes days for the actual voicemail to show up. I was able to hear voicemails from 4 days ago today. When you touch a voicemail in the app it gives an error that the server cannot be reached, when there is an internet connection. I started just calling my voicemail box today, because the app is useless. I tried reinstalling the app 3 times.
It's working great again! Thank you, tech support team, for fixing the "Server not available" issue. I can log in and access my messages with no problem now. I've had this program on various smart phones over the years. This is a very useful app for retrieving messages from your landline phone (for those of us who still have landlines services). It is NOT for mobile phone voicemail.
This app doesn't let me log in, it asks for my number & pin. I enter my regular VM pin and phone number and I just get an error message. I've sent AT&T the error message as it says to do if I have any issues but I have not heard from them at all. I used to be able to access this app through my previous phone s6edge and it worked well now I can't even access it through my s9. I've called customer service and they have no clue on how to fix the issue that I'm encountering.
It helps to read the app description. which says: [This app is for AT&T landline voicemail, not mobile phone voicemail.] That is why many can't get it to accept pin, etc. the visual voicemail that came with my note9 only shows a list of callers, but no voice to text. you can play the message, but I want to read it. so, now I need an app for my mobile phone that does voice to text. Suggestion to developer... put landline in the name to avoid confusion.
Have an LG Thin Q 35V. Did not purchase from AT&T. I believe Visual Voicemail is pre loaded on phones purchased through AT&T. This app does not work for me. Like many others, it tells me my phone number or PIN is wrong. I went through an hour of trouble shooting with a AT&T rep to no avail. They said they would resolve the issue, but it never happened.
this mobile app is consistently 'clunky' and awkward as is the main AT&T on-line experience. RE the PIN request in this app, one needs to go to the att website, long into your account, go to the voicemail function, and root around the setup menus to establish a new PIN (which one never had to do for any voicemail functionality on the website) .....who knew?!?!? Once the PIN is established on the website, then you can use this mobile app. Good luck to users, but shame on att fir poor app dev!
App doesn't make sound to notify you of new messages, even when all notifications are turned on. Have to constantly check to see if I have any new messages. And that's my biggest concern. Other than that I do get the messages and i'm able to read and hear messages clearly...
This app doesn't let me log in, it asks for my number & pin. I enter my regular VM pin and phone number and I just get an error message prompted (Login failed)....same PIN works fine for accessing voicemail, but results in the viewer app. And the worst thing is, on the pop-up for login-failed, when you click on (Send Problem Report), which ultimately fails as undeliverable email........was on call with customer rep for 30 minutes with no luck and was told to call back....what a waste of time......
As others have said, the problem here is that the app doesn't work. It does not recognize my phone # and PIN combo. AT&T should be embarrassed this shipped - basic testing before launch (or possibly before a recent Android update) would have caught the issue. This is one featue I really miss from iOS, and of course it doesn't work here.
Can't get this ATT visual voicemail app to work. I tried put my telephone number in my pin to sign into the app just like calling into my voicemail to activate. It gives me an error message. Tried calling customer service to walk me through they can't figure it out either Tried calling customer service to walk me through they can't figure it out either. Send you dial out a bad reviews I hope you get this app working soon it shouldn't be this difficult to sign in.
Easy to set up, ready to use. I had to set up my voice mail on my home phone, including selecting a custom PIN. Then started the so and allowed all access requests. A quick test from different numbers showed it works well. Nice.
Upgraded to latest version and can't get past the EULA screen. It locks up my device after accepting the agreement(i have to force a reboot). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, installing a previous version of the app, Clearing cache partition on Android, and nothing works. AT&T is the worst business partner I have.
This app is useless, don't even bother. Says my PIN is incorrect, however that password is fine when I manually pick up the phone and do *98 ... I would think AT&T could do better than this garbage app, but obviously can't and don't care about getting it right, even with the horrible ratings here
Google Play version does not work! Must find apk for my S9 + and sideload it for functionality. I bought new unlocked phone, AT&T blocks this and other apps from working unless you buy from them. Utter rubbish! Perhaps it is time to find a new carrier who does not apply such arbitrary limitations.
Had this app on my old phone, loved it. Got a new phone and now can't get into my account. No password reset option. Deleted account, uninstalled and reinstalled. Now there's no account set up prompt so I can set up my account again. AND it says it locked me out of my account (which doesn't exist anymore for this app). Four hours on the phone with AT&T, they know very little about this app and are struggling to help me. Not loving it so much anymore....
While I can still hear/read my messages from the app, it no longer notifies me when I get a message. For a while it would notify me over & over for 1 message until I listened to it. Now I get nothing. So while it's still an easy way to check my messages, it's just one more thing I have to remember to do.
it fails to work, or successfully accept any login information. After calling support, they sent a temporary passcode, which still doesn't work. Extremely poor app, and even worse customer service. It fails everytime! Useless!
App failed to sign in. Used the built in "trouble report". It cooked up an email and sent it. The destination address was invalid. Yikes! App fails to use time/date display settings of device.
P.O.S. - What an incredible waste of time! Two phones, both on the AT&T network, from 2 different manufacturers, neither would get past the account creation page. 4 hours on the phone with 3 AT&T assistants was nothing short of an exercize in FUTILITY. Don't waste your time.
NEED unlocked Samsung Note 10+ Support back! AT&T put back Mobile Visual Voicemai App on Google Store for customers who pay for Visual Voicemai and Bring their Own Device. Bought a flagship to have Visual Voicemail app removed from the Google Playstore, so now I can't use this paid feature, and no Wi-Fi Calling, both removed or disabled on the account or phone by AT&T because the hardware wasn't bought through their Store m-branded monthly payment plans. THESE ARE PAID FEATURES! NOT HARDWARE!
Doesn't recognize my number and pin.....best part is when i try to get in through the app and am denied, my actual voicemail acts like i don't have the funds to call it. What?! I don't have an account where i add funds and why does this only happening after attempting to use the ATT VM Viewer app? Thanks, now i have to call customer service to get my voicemail back AGAIN!
Trash. Can't log in with same pin/phone number that I just successfully checked by manually calling. This app has been abandoned judging by the post dates from other users with same issue. Almost a full year with same issue - embarrassing.
since last patch, keeps giving pop-up warnings the app has failed and asks to close. even when closed and not supposedly running. have to go into settings and do a force stop!!!
Doesn't work at all. Requires excessive permissions for no reason and doesn't allow log in. Says my pin is wrong even though it's the same pin for 10 years now.
Haven't been able to use, it tells me my pin is incorrect. I tried to send a bug report via the app and it didn't work either.
Crashed my phone all the time (Moto play g 7) On my new phone (Galaxy A51) that's no longer and issue and it appears to work. I for one appreciate that the UI isn't getting updated frequently so it has the more iconic classic Android look. Would be better if the open sourced the code and published as Free Software.
