Ok for a first attempt. Controls are sluggish. The app has no option for landscape mode, and the list of ROMs not only needs to be renamed to their actual titles in some cases, but the games are not in alphabetical order. This however should be easy to fix as the ROMs are not supposed to be included in the package. They are still under copyright.
Many great games. I think its a bit too much for a single app Varying levels of function depending upon games played. ie: some games use more graphics resulting in slow function, delayed response and choppy audio. Otherwise your average run of the mill free app to kill time when you're bored of chewing glass.
the app is amazing it has great atari games from the 2600. I just hope that you can play in landscape mode and to sort the games in alphabetical order or by picking your favorite to the find the games you want to play a lot faster. also some of the games audio are disabled. why?
NO SOUND! on some games☹and the emulator RUNS SLOW when you select a new game. You need to restart the app everytime you want to play another game so that it could run at normal speed. One good thing about this app is that they're No ads during the gameplay.
This is wonderful emulator. The roms run flawless for me. The only problem I have had is that sometimes the sound goes out on it. Then I have to restart the app. This is the only reason for giving it 4 out of 5. Otherwise it's perfect. I hope in the future, the sound issue can be fixed. But I do highly recommend this app. 👍🙂
Won't load on my tablet! just a screen asking to choose the language, but nothing happens after that!! On my mobile it's a very tiny game play screen! to small to see properly! useless really! I have the Atari 2600 at my home 😀 just need to find it out! will delete from my devises & try again in a month or so!
Laggy, RIDICULOUSLY so. Painfully so. Laggy. Why isn't there a search feature to load roms? Why aren't roms arranged alphabetically? Full screen option doesn't work. Lastly, the developer should have went with the classic Atari 2600 VCS 6 button console as the vanity interface. The 6-button is THE definitive, most iconic 2600. (FYI, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy J7.) Overall, this app seems like a lazy attempt at what shows promise.
This Emulator works perfectly for me on my Galaxy s10e. I already have over 1,000 (2600 Roms) but this Emulator comes with 450 roms I believe. I will have to dig around and see if I can add my roms to it's play library. Gameplay seems to run perfectly. Keep in mind, you are probably trying to run this on a phone so of course the screen is small.My advice to you if you want a larger screen, PLAY ON A TV. I've tried a few of the other Emulators out there but, quite honestly this one is great.
Unfortunately, I couldn't give this a zero reading. I downloaded it, installed it, and got as far as the choose your language page. I tapped on the American flag for a good 30 seconds and nothinghappened. Just for giggles I tried tapping on the Arab flag and still nothing happened. I'm running Android Oreo. Maybe this doesn't work with Android 8.0.1
Not sure why some are whining about this app not working properly. works perfectly on my Galaxy S8 Plus. Or maybe that's the problem. Maybe the people who can't get it to work right are using older, crappy phones that can't be updated to the latest Andoid OS. All I know is that I love this app and it wofks perfectly for me.
the games are great but when i tried to play tac scan i couldn't start the game play. tried game reset and pressing the firing buttons nothing works. plus on none of the games you can't go full screen even though the option is there. please fix.
What a waste of time, after I successfully installed this App, it gave me an option to choose the language which is English, (U.S.A), and that's it... The Start Screen didn't even open up... This App is not all that is cracked up to be... Save your breath...
Brought back my childhood memories!! Really loved playing some of the games here.. if you could make this in wide screen format and bigger controls (we are now old with fat fingers) would be the best!!!
No sound, no landscape view, directional arrows (left side) are too small making it difficult to control some games, especially when phone has to be vertical.
Love the games. Suggested improvement, full screen mode. Larger controls. Auto load in English. And games in alphabetical order or search option added.
i would give 5 stars,but game play is just 2 slow,which is a pity because the variety of retro games available offline here is 2nd 2 none.(could u fix it somrhow?)Regardlous of this,I'll still keep it because it reminds me of the games I loved as a kid.
It,s a really good emulator the only problem with it is when turn you phone sideways it won,t turn over it needs to be horizontal so you can play at full screen.
This App Is Good, Except Most Of The Games Are Laggy. Sometimes The More You Play A Game, It Gets Less Laggy, But Most Of The Games Are Very Laggy. I Would Appreciate It If This Was Fixed In The Future. Edit: Please Add Halo 2600. June 2, 2020 Edit: FIX THE GAME LAG ISSUES. I CAN'T STAND THIS.
Awesome! .. brings back old memories .. only complaint I have is some games don't have any sound, Soo your crossing your fingers .. each time you pick one hoping that it does 🙂
I can't get in! Every time I uninstall and try again and it just says pick your language! It won't let my pick! It just tells me to pick it! Change this and i'll change my review.
This Atari game app is very slow I would not play this again till it can be maybe a better updated version then maybe I will try again and I dont recommend if anybody elae ro play but yeah I think this app could use a good fixing.
great app and great start for atari games in cell phones. Controlers Could be further developed. full screen game is needed. Thanks
This plays so slowly that I thought something was wrong with my phone but it was fine. I don't know what is wrong but eveything else other than No Sound is great.
It works great on a galaxy S9+. A search button and a fullscreen mod will be a very good add.
Could not find the game I needed on the list. This is ridiculous. If you don't have a search bar, at least sort the games by names!
Games of old were slow but not this slow and laggy. And needs a bigger screen display.
I'll give it 3* for the amount of games and retro feel with the Atari 2600 woodgrain console showing on the bottom and huge assortment of games. As others have said the delay or lag is horrible and makes it impossible for some and unenjoyable for most other games that are included to play and I tried several that are my favorites so I know how they should run. Fix it where there is minimal to no lag and I will rate higher. Truly the lag just makes it no fun to play at all.
