The only thing missing is FPV/VR mode. Also... I think the Other-Controllers support needs to be tweaked/adjusted. The drone couldn't ever hover on one place using my Xbox Elite Controller. I hope the developer reads this. And btw... I would be willing to pay way more if he can Update the App with FPV/VR support and Adjust the Controllers Input. Thank you.
Really wanted to like the app. After installing the app, tried to set up face detection in the settings and kept on receiving a download error. Also, when you start the app to fly, you can fly the tello but nothing shows on thescreen nor does it write correctly to file and any video stored is unuable or unknown format. Tried to write the developer on several occasions for the last few days and as of yet have not heard anything. Have a Lenovo Tab E7 with android 8 and a 126 gb extreme card in it. Works flawlessly with tello app or tello edu app as well. I also use the tello fpv app and it runs flawlessly and stores the files from camera as well as gives me visual of when the tello is in flight -- this does nothing. Nor, as it seems, the developer does nothing either. Will change this if I hear back and get some definite assistance. But will not hold my breathe. Until then, I would be cautious in purchasing this app. ***Update, I just heard back from my request for technical support, just answered him back but it deserved to have a few stars added for reaching out to me. Will update when we get this all straightened out and how long it took to hear back again from them.
Excellent!! Very well done pinggusoft! This app makes flying the tello much more fun and immersive... I only wish I could use my xbox one controller via OTG, as the bluetooth connection does interfere somewhat with the FPV latency. All in all excellent! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
A good alternative to the stock app, but one main feature lacking from the original... self-centering touch pads!. If this could be added with an option to turn the feature on or off, it would make the purchase price more worthwhile
Really impressed, using oneplus 6. All works well, if you're having troubles you probably didn't read the WIKI ;) - if you're using the OP6 like I am connect your controller to the phone via Bluetooth first and then open atello, you dont need to 'detect' the controller in the app for it to work. Just connect to the drone and start flying!
I love the app when using it indor. Face recognition, head mode is great. What I dont like about using this app is when flying it outdoor. My tello dont seem to be stable. one time i experienced crashing my tello i am not sure what happened. the wind is not so strong but my tello just moved back ward by itself. too bad theres no panic button like the other app.
Great app compared to the Ryze app. RTH is great, however headless mode was not great and face detection mode did not work on HTC X10H - on screen fpv not available. The video feed still has a few problems as well.
app is great and everything is fine but if it would be big-bang if app support flysky controller via trainer cable for precise flying experience and its possible. because Bluetooth controllers are slugish and very costly.
its a good app but while flying outside at a very close range to my phones wifi the drone disconnect and the drone just took off, about 40M in the air before the motors cut off, i had no controll over it at all and i lost the drone, i just want to make people aware about the connection issue, im not sure if its the app or what but i just want this out there
Great app because it adds support for all bluetooth gamepads, but impossible to change mapping for analog sticks like in dronevr+ =( Hope it will be added in the future.
It's a advanced Tello app, but it dose not show tello disconnected indicator even after Tello wifi disconnects. It shows the last fpv still picture..seperate low battery notice not avaible tello just lands. The vedio is smoother
Wow, the official Tello app won't recognize my Gamesir t1d 99% of the time, but this app connects to it every time! Kudos to you. There are even extra features here, the only thing I could ask for is to please add VR support like the official app has and I'd never even have a need to open it. I'm using Android 7.1.1 Thanks!
Screen shots show facial recognition option although once downloaded, the app doesn't have that feature, disappointed, only brought the app for that feature, just stick with the DJI Tello App
After last update, application does not work without unnecessary permission like microphone. Are you kidding? if I don't wand record voice why I should give to application this permission?
doesn't work well. app has mind of its own. crashes tello a lot. couldn't figure out the face recognition feature

Much better than the Tello app that didn't work on my LG xcarge. Stick response is a lot more forgiving for a beginner. Highly recommend.
video grainy, seems to be easier to see on tello app, controls worked ok, did not try any modes as i was indoors
I downloaded th e app and everything was fine I was outside in field and could not get GPS I paid for the app but I think I should have waited until the 3days was up help me get it back as it was brilliant
said it supported xbox one Bluetooth but when i would connect it wouldnt work or would lag the signal....just didnt work for me
Fantastic. Does every thing the official Tello app should do. Easily connects Gamesir T1d controller with Android on One+3, Tello app won't.
App is great but theres a few things that I think are important that need to be added. * Ability to raise altitude limit to 99feet at least, normal tello app already allows this. 30ft limit isn't the best, especially since this app helps fly longer distances. *ability to change/rearrange the 8 hotkeys at the top center. Update. Return to home and Facetracking features glitch bad, the drone becomes unstable and bounces all over the place.
