Athens Transportation
It lets user choose the Line they want, either by writing directly it's code or name, or selecting it from the list of municipalities it crosses. Also can display the Nearby Stops and Lines.
Next they can previous and next departure, according to the schedule, from the beginning or the end of the route. Also which is the closest stop to their current location, with calculation of distance and direction towards it, by using the embedded GPS and compass of the device. (It requires to be within a distance of about 1.5km (1 mile) from the closest stop).
The stops of the selected line can be displayed in a list or on Google Map (requires Internet connection). Then realtime information is displayed about which stop they are currently in and which stop comes next.
Additional Features:
* Works without Internet access (except for Google Maps)
* Small installation footprint in device, around 1MB, if the External Storage is selected as the save point for the Database.

Outdated. The tram number designations are incorrect.

Just add some more routes..... Like ANO LIOSIA - AIRPORT etc ... Other than that amazing
But it takes tooooo long to find nearby stations and also often asks to download data again and again

This is a MUST have app for any tourist wishing to use public transportation in Athens. It tells you what bus, tram, and metro stops are near you and directs you to them; tells you what lines go from there, when the next bus will arrive, and where it goes. It shows a map of the line using Google Maps cached earlier so no mobile data needed. On board it shows you the next stops so you know when to get off. It works in Greek (the better to read station names) and in English (the better to understand it). Together with the TFA Ticket app to buy tickets on your mobile, cashless, you can easily go wherever you want. THANKS to Mr. Tzounopoulos!
...no offline map for checking the lines & stations out when you're on holiday with no internet on phone :o/
The app does what it says. My only requests would be: 1. a better User Interface. The current one feels old. 2. BackUp of favourite lines. Update: Please give some love to that ugly UI.
Very useful!!! Bravo my friend for that app.
One thing missing is the duration (even in approximate) of the routes, not only start to finish but between stops too. That would be super helpful! Oasth's site it's very organized and you can get some ideas for the future!
If it wasn't for this app, right now I'd probably be wandering lost somewhere in Athens!

You can't view some lines (like G18) unless you switch the program language to Greek. It would be tons more useful if timetables were available too.
No metro map displayed. May be it's easy to use when you are already familiar with Athens. If you are not, this app is not much helpful 🤷🏻♀️
