Unlike the developers other apps (excellent) this one falls short. I had hopes for the browser but development seems to have stalled. The rather clunky navigation and lack of options have left this browser so far behind many others (which are free). Missing a simple home but (or at least I cannot find it). It is a shame but had to give up and use another better featured browser that is current.
Avid xda user and you need (oddly enough) something to grind through it. Seemed to lag heavy but once pages actually appeared from the pure white screen it performed very well. With it's last update 18 months ago, i can't put money into it. I'd like to see better design, more user input and a general inclination to show a sign of development which may include user feedback. At 1.45 mb it clearly shows how much more less can be. After more testing, performance was WAY better without filters. hmmmm
I keep coming back to this browser after getting frustrated with others. Strengths are the the easy drawers, splitscreen, site settings memory, URL edits, and its ability to capture disclaimer pages that need to be tended to. Dev disinterest can be a good thing if they're not finding ways to get you!
This is a great browser, it's got loads of features and is plenty fast all while providing a safe, fun experience. The only rub is that there is so many options in settings, that being said it can be overwhelming if the user is not familiar with how Android browsers typically work. So overall pretty good and O reccomend this highly.
Although being abandoned by the developer for almost 3 long years, but for me it is and will always remain the best "webpage surfing only" browser on android, with its page detail feature one can easily find all the source being used in a web page... i wish the developer could still work on its devlopment add new features and support for many more smartphones to come.
I'm so disappointed i didn't try this browser sooner. Only thing i wish it had is the capability to use FX Explorers themes. Obviously updates would be solid choice too. But if there's an updated version of this some place as a service, I'd jump alll over that
Not functioning properly.. the UI is drawn beyond the screen edge and it just crashes (twice so far) before getting to do anything useful. Two stars instead of one because of its potential-- err, nevermind, that doesn't make sense; if it's unmaintained and broken now, it should be rated poorly to reflect that, so one star
1ST, Please don't get me wrong, There should have an option for "Always Start private browsing" in the web-browser for better privacy and safety. I don't want to use "start private browsing" manually each and every time. It is a very small request from a paid user. 2ND, In the Normal browsing after clicking the "EXIT" on the web browser all data like "all browsing history", "all cookies", "all tabs", "all cached images and files", "all site permissions",must be deleted automatically and always.
Love this browser, great features and the developer is one of my favorites. I'd only ask if there's a way to turn off double-tap zoom; it makes browser based games infuriating.
Great browser. Fast, simple browser with privacy controls. The addition of custom host files/entries would make it perfect for me.
Just add a canvas fingerprinting blocking extension with a speed dial start page and you have the top of the top browser. Still great though as is.
Internet is very slow where I stay. So this app is perfect. But recently my content filter isn't able to update.
A Browser which ...possibly maybe Abit Faster than puffin is crazy knowing/Considering puff had Been said to =Worlds Fastest browser aka Usain Bolt of all browsers and seeing probably Beating puff is really absurd which is How ik it can make it as a Top Browser if you want I'm just not a Big fan of its ui its wayy too Basic in Appearance for such a Quick Browser it Gotta Have an truly Attractive Ui with tabs+a background player+App Lack and Shortcuts when on a TV and a TV Ui Like TV Bro etc
This app is fast, simple design but now I don't know why I can't access all website URL so that's just always looks like invalid url :(, for this rate is 60% Recommended for try it :) Thanks NEXTAPPINC
I alternate between the stock browser and this one. It would be useful to separate the toggle for images and JavaScript.
Best browser ever Better than Chrome, Firefox and any other browser... This browser means what it says... Real legit ad blocking✔️ No tabs automatically opening✔️ Speed✔️ Privacy✔️ Design 8/10 If this browser adds video downloading and probably optional news.🌋 🔥
21:9 screen on my Sony Xperia 1 II is unsupported. Black bar on the bottom. Seems like development has stopped years ago.
Love the three-finger pinch-out zoom feature with text reflow! Now if they added hyphenation, my happiness would be complete
Good browser, but limited to 4 tabs (or whatever you call it) in free version! Simply why?
got a blank page w/ abunch of android bookmarks. stopped working. did nothing I uninstalled.
Very Nice app and useful with less data storage.
It doesn't open til u upgrade and pay money
Please start developing/ maintaining this app again. Love it😍
Boo this app has slow connection its not even working good
i hope the devloper will continue this browser project.
Not a good one!
For an Android device web browser that functions well on a phone the Atlas Web Browser is about as good as it gets. There are many levels of control over elements of web pages which allows you to turn the modern annoying popup riddled and advertisement packed web into a fast and efficient information source like it used to be in the golden age of the web. Quick access slide out controls allow aspects of the page rendering to be controlled at a tap. Changes in the rendering take effect immediately. You can display pages as only text, a light mode with images, and full page rendering. You can tap to switch between device styles. Most useful is the ability to control text zooming and the text zooming overrides css styles built into the page. This makes it much easier to read text on web pages when using a small screen such as on a mobile phone. When tested on the Google Pixel phone the Atlas Web Browser performed faster than any of the 12 other browsers we tested.
