Atomas

Atomas is a fascinating puzzle game, which you can learn in seconds but will entertain you for weeks. The perfect game for your spare time!
Your little universe starts with hydrogen atoms only but with the help of the energy rich plus atoms you are able to fusion two hydrogen atoms into one helium atom, 2 helium atoms into one lithium atom and so on. Your primary goal is to create the valuable elements like Gold, Platinum and Silver.

But watch out, if your universe is overfilled with to many atoms it will cause a big crunch and the game is over. One way to prevent this is to build up long symmetries in your atoms and start big chain reactions.

From time to time minus atoms appear, use them for absorbing and replacing atoms within your universe or sacrifice them for a plus atom.

You see Atomas is not hard to play, but if you want to get to the top you'll need a good strategy, which keeps your atoms organized.

By creating new elements like oxygen or copper you unlock lucky charms, which effect the game in various ways and adjust it to your strategy.

What Atomas offers you:

- 4 different game modes
- simple but addicting game mechanics
- 124 different atoms to create
- 12 different lucky charms
- Google play games integration
- share your score on twitter and Facebook
- quick tutorial

The developers high score is 66 543. Can you do better?

Not a bad game. I find the orbs don't go where I aim when there are less than 3 orbs on the field. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a periodic table somewhere in the game. I don't know the reason why I can cycle through the elements I have discovered before I press start, maybe it should change the background to match what the atom selected. S and Si are too similar in colour, plus they are close in number and initials, it's the main cause of my failures around their appearance.

I like this game, but there are too-similar colors that spawn too close to each other. For example, (Ca) and (Be) are both white, but far enough away to be confused at 4 and 20. But (Fe) and (Ge) are the same tan color, and they're 26 and 32, so I sometimes still have (Fe) on the board, which I make combos with, before realizing one of the orbs in the "combo" is (Ge) instead. PLEASE update colors to fix this! Otherwise a very addicting and good game. My high score is Holmium (67) so far!

Nice interactive interface, pleasant coloring schema. Conceptually pretty simple but if you don't plan well you won't last long. Don't expect scientific accuracy or you'll be disappointed. This is a game not a chemistry tutorial. That note aside, it's really rather enjoyable and encourages planning ahead and anticipating the patterns of advancement. It's not completely random (but nothing else in the world is completely random, either) there is a pattern to it if you watch for it. Enjoy.

It's a very fun game. My only problem is that it's difficult forming a little strategy. I suggest having the ability to store an atom for later use or to have an icon that predicts the next atom. It's incredibly frustrating when you make a perfectly symmetrical arrangement, but the next atom completely jeopardizes it. In other words, it relies way too much on luck.

Pretty good game, great concept and execution, though I do have a few issues. The first is a bug when you have 2 atoms on the playing field and when you place a third, it goes on the opposite side that you chose. Not really game breaking but can be mildly annoying. My second issue is the Zen mode. I'm not exactly sure how it differs from classic mode, as they seem the exact same to me.

I love this game. I'm addicted to it. I play every day, constantly trying to get farther, get a higher score. I only have one complaint. There is a bug in the game where, if you undo at a wrong moment, you could cause extra atoms to spawn around the circle, or if you undo a fusion, you could get the final atom and the atoms used to make it. Please fix this! It's frustrating when you have a good streak going, and you missclick and need to undo, just to have this glitch ruin a run

I like the idea. The game looks clean and all. Then after a while it gets annoying, having to start from zero. That's because you're only notified of the limit when you're three atoms away from failing, you don't know what is going to come next and the tools that are provided to help you, have horrible conditions (Antimatter isn't attainable for free, and the time machine's cool down exponentially grows). Pretty easy to fix these issues. I don't recommend playing it until they fix the issues.

It has a domino effect type structure to it. Using elements to combined to make a higher element. Wouldn't call it educational but it does have some elements. It would an application you open when you are waiting for someone or have some free time. It's game play may be standard but the presentation is what makes it great. Recommended for those who love puzzle games.

One of the best games I've ever played. Simple to learn, but so satisfying. Relaxing and good to play while 'watching' TV or listening to an audiobook or podcast. No annoying ads or pop ups, either. They don't bug you for a review, but I wanted to leave one as this is such a great app. (Side note: even the sounds are pretty cool. I usually turn sounds off on everything but I don't on this.)

Similar to thevpopular game 2048, this game combines multiples to create larger numbers. While you can run out of room, as you move higher up, you stop getting lower denominators, giving you the chance to actually score a high number. It's fun and fair, I like the chemical aspect of it, it's interesting to see how high of a number/element you can get to. I haven't unlocked all the modes, but I'm playing about once a day, trying again. One of my favorute puzzle games of the moment.

A very relaxing game. If you want to pass time, why not catch up on the periodic table along the way? By the way, the devs are getting old! Because I barely remember this game from when I last played it, haha, but it was super easy to find. Goes to show that the devs really did something unique. No intrusive ads or paywall. Just as it says, this game takes seconds to learn but gives endless hours of fun.

Found it last year when i was on my work immersion and i did not disappoint to the fact that i also love chemistry. this game help me understand the sequence of the periodic table. a bit challenging for combining the next elements. it would be better if you extend the gameplay for making chemical compounds as a goal for each levels. just my opinion but in general, it was actually good and awesome.

I love this game, but I would like to see two changes. When you get a "-" and turn an atom into a "+", I would like the color to turn to red, plus, color. Right now it stays the converted atoms color. The other is to widen the indication line and make it glow or something like that. I have a very hard time seeing the line when the atom color is darker, like dark blue, purple, gray etc. Please please fix this two things, i will be very great full.

Addictive, Simple Strategy for Success, and Long Game Play. Once you figure out the strategy it's easy to build up and play for a long time. Downside is the deeper you get, no matter how good the strategy, eventually you lose because you don't get what is needed to continue. Worse is then having to start all over again and spend 10, 15, 20 minutes doing that same simple strategy. Wait.... I guess this is what makes it a great game!

Downloaded yesterday, seems pretty good so far. I agree with the other reviews saying that the tutorial isn't helpful. I took me a bit to understand what I was doing, but once you figure it out, it's pretty easy. The thing I have a problem with is the challenges. They're never really explained anywhere. Also a note to people who have mentioned placing a new atom when there are only two in the circle. The new one goes wherever because the order would be the same no matter where the new one goes.

With most mobile games, you're bombarded with ads at every turn, but after playing this game for months, a once or twice a day most days, when I randomly checked the shop and saw a "disable ads" option, my first thought was "there are ads?" I hadn't even noticed when it's juxtaposed against most games. Plus the gameplay is simple and entertaining, highly recommend.

This is an amazing game. Not only does it help learn the periodic table, but it has the opportunity for constantly improving your strategy. I found one problem though: Once, I paused in the middle of a game, with a score of a few thousand. When I opened it again, my score was around 100000000 (10^8). I'm not entirely sure what caused this bug.

Definitely one of my all time favorite apps, I even recommended it to some of my students as a great tool to develop focus as well as thinking skills. (Parents don't need to know:) It has this delightfully bizarre bug where it sometimes, when using the time machine option, doubles the atom with the highest number. Please don't fix it.

It's a very good casual game with a well executed concept, but the game has way too many bugs. Sometimes when you go back a turn it works fine but sometimes it just rearranges on its own giving some atoms out that most certainly weren't there, if you're lucky enough they could turn in your favor. Sometimes it spawns way too many pluses when theres barely any atoms on the field. If those bugs were fixed I'd give this game 5 stars

An extremely fun and addictive puzzle game. The science in it is a little gimicky (names of "power particles" are chosen because they sound cool rather than indicating their actual properties) but the method of fusing larger and larger elements is incredibly satisfying. The cherry on the cake: ads are completely unobtrusive! I can't stop playing it.

I would like this game and play it a lot more, but every round I lose to the same problem it seems I have no control over. As a game progresses, the types of atoms you get to play get heavier. I am always left with 1 atom way lighter than everything else. I'm always given an odd amount of a light atom when I need even to combine. This ONLY happens with lighter atoms and never heavier ones, which usually results in a loss before antimatter shows up, which is needed to resolve it. It feels like the odds are specifically stacked against you and it is always the reason I stop playing.

Pretty addicting yet infuriating at times. However, I have discovered a very amusing bug. If you swipe right at the start screen to go to the upgrades list, click one of the atoms, and vigorously tap equip/unequip repeatedly, the button will grow larger until none of the letters are visible, and the atom icon for whichever you chose will rise up the screen until it too disappears from sight. I find this very funny

Tan. G. Jul 30, 2020

I like the concept of the game, but I found a bug, I hope it will be fixed. If I close the game in between when the atoms are combining, then when I'll open it back again, those atoms will combine and your score becomes a very large number, which is probably the highest possible number of the game, because after that, the score doesn't increase . I don't want to make a high score that way, so please fix the bug, otherwise it is a very nice game good concept

Love it! Didn't understand it at first, but it was simpler than it seemed. Love the core game and the matching, but what makes it even better are the extra modes, unlockable upgrades, and limited ads! This has quickly become one of my favorite puzzle games on the app store. Also, is the dark plus atom based on anything in real life, or was it created for the games mechanics?

Ped. S. Jul 30, 2019

The game is great to play on a bus or somewhere you dont have much time, but you can also concentrate and try harder to reach better atoms. Even after a few days the game is still interesting and Im still motivated to play it. The upgrades unlocked by the different atoms you reach give you challenges to complete and keep the game interesting with new twists. The graphics are simple but good-looking and the controls are geat as well. For my taste however, the game is a little to luck-based.

Dav. C. Nov 24, 2019

The game is very good at first but gets repetitive quickly. To stop that I reccomend adding a multiplayer gamemode where you play with a friend and try to reach a high score together. Instead of there being one circle there should be two like a ven diagram. One person has control of one and the second person of the other, the overlapping section should be able to be controlled by either players. Please leave a replay so I know you've acknowledged my rating even if you decline this request.

Max. M. Jun 12, 2020

Nice idea. But a lot of repetition as after a have you always need to start from zero. This is kind of annoying.. Further does not seem possible to gain antimatter without paying. At least I did not get any while playing for a few hours. Without that, it is very difficult to get beyond a certain point. I will try a few more times, if then there isn't any new content I probably uninstall it.

Eth. O. May 12, 2019

Well, I've found the ads pretty minimal. the gameplay is quite unique, and I've really enjoyed getting my head around the strategy to the game. I also really like that I still haven't unlocked everything in the game (and I'm not just talking achievements). And the only paid content is the optional anti-matters, which I'm getting one of for writing this review. A good game undeniably, and I have no real criticism.
