I really would like to be able to trigger An event by reading my calender and also being able to have the event limited to the specific title of the item in the calender. Eg. If "work" event in google calendar is current time = lower volume. This works be a great functionality, for anyone who is tired of forgetting to turn your volume down it up.
I tried Atooma a little while ago, and I couldn't get on with it even though I love the idea... I've since tried Trigger and Agent, a combination of these two seem to do all I need, like if I plug in my headphones, the phone launches my music app, puts volume at a set level, plays whatever song is next in queue and also if I get a text it reads it out to me on the headphones... I have tried again to do this with the new version of atooma... And no, its not playing ball. Sorry.
Atooma for gear kept crashing, and being a sticky service kept restarting. Rendering my entire phone usless. The "Atooma for gear has quit working" dialog box blocks UI interactions rendering the phone usless when it kept saying coming up. Took me an hour of painfully clicking "okay" then trying to click something else before it popped up again to remove it. Recommend installing at your own risk. I almost had to factory reset my phone to fix it.
Nifty app for those little annoying tasks that require you to bring out your phone, for me, it was restarting the Pandora app whenever it closed randomly after i turned my car off and such. Now i just flick my wrist and if im on my car, it restarts pandora. If there was a compatibility for my job, that would be great though. I would like to see skmething that when i make a motion or gesture during my work day (compatible with hot schedules a big plus) i can say an address and it will automatically route me.
It's a nice app that I'm just getting used to. The creation of macros is pretty easy and the interface is mostly good...except for one thing: the IF...DO...layout is awful. I think it should be vertically constructed rather than scrolling horizontally. It makes it hard to gauge what each macro is doing. And yes, I know that it's written above in text format, but a nice list is always easier. Also, there appears to be no way to edit atoomas that I have saved.
This app will literally automate anything you want on your device. I have mine set up with my Galaxy gear and it works very well. Sometimes the app crashes but it will refresh itself instantly. The only bad part about the app is how fast your battery will drain when you're connected to a smart watch. When I disconnected my watch I noticed the battery didn't drain nearly as fast.
Atooma has potential! It lacks in the number of features though like not being able to search smart actions, low number of if and do conditions as compared to similar apps and also it's integrity with smart wearable and it always shows me an error when I want to create a condition for my gear s2! Overall it does wat u need but doesn't give u the level of satisfaction! And yes pls do add the ability to have multiple if conditions ( both 'or' and 'and' based and not only 'and' based)
Functions not working if we minimise r if Close da App. It should work assigned commands all da time then only purpose served r else no use pl correct this The Idea If n do actions pretty good
Great automation so far. Simple enough to use for the tasks I have set..... however I have found editing some atoomas can't be done and also it's pretty hard to test your Atooma to make sure it works correctly - it needs an option to 'pretend' all the 'if' factors have been met so it can execute the 'do' I would also like to see some more complex macros in the directory to really show its capabilities
With other apps you use Android Wear and automate actions. Atooma falls short in that arena. The plug ins are lacking as well.
Confusing, unintuitive and useless. Uninstalling right now. Users should not be asked to contact support unnecessarily.
If you are not a total geek and find Tasker to be too much, Atooma is a fantastic alternative. It is well thought out and very simple to use. It is relatively new but is growing. I look forward to future advances.
App has great interface and would probably be my favorite if it worked. However, that's not the case. Out of 4 smart actions only one actually works. There's no user accessible log or error message in order to troubleshoot this, which makes the app useless for me.
It could be a great program, however it's missing a critical action. You can't set a rule to turn Data off if WiFi is on..... seems like a pretty important feature to miss
Its always says somthing about sandbox. Therfore, iy never save any photo from it. Would you please tell me why. Thanks
It's by far the easiest automation app out there, and closest to ifttt. Developers hasn't updated it for a long time... Looking forward for more social triggers, hoping they haven't stopped working on the app.
The crashing has stopped, but when one atooma turns off WiFi, the one that is supposed to turn it back on again doesn't work. They are all running.
Fc every time on my phone, note 4, would really like to try it with my gear 1.... am I doing something wrong
Like so many other reviewers, I want to like this app but there are just so many things wrong with it. It seems confused by time zones (which is pretty basic) and gives you no way to say whether a time-based Atooma should compare against the time zone it was created in or the local time zone when it runs, Location-based Atoomas almost never fire, it's impossible to edit certain aspects of an Atooma after it's created, there's no easy way to create an inverse of an Atooma (to turn something back off), etc.
Recently stopped working. I double checked all settings but couldn't find any reason why it does not run schedules tasks automatically anymore.
Good application for automation but have a problem managing already made (readonly) nfc tags, which force me to use another products, but who doesn't work with nfc tags, is good
Every time it try to load a smart action it says: Error administration mode disabled. I tried looking in admins to enable it but it wasn't there. Help me please, I love this application!
Too bad, i love the app. My battery life is just too short with it running.
I installed Atooma on my SAMSUNG Galaxy S5 and GEAR 2. My GEAR 2 says "No Atooma" and My phone gives me login error for both Facebook and Google+ login attempts. When I select try Atooma as Guest it says "No connection Available (TRY AGAIN)" but I have mobile data and Wifi connection at work. I don't know what else to do, I tried clearing cache from App Manager to no avail.
