The cooking interface works great. Makes long smokes very easy. Only change to the app that I would prefer is that the app needs to run in the back ground similar to I grill. The alarm can only be heard if your phone is unlocked and you are actively viewing the app.
Pathetic. Neither the App not Sensors/Controllers can perform to operating specifications. Auber even went as far to admit their condensing humidity sensors can't actually operate in that environment, that it would be considered "extreme use", and that doing so would heavily reduce the already limited 3 month warranty. The apps features, connectivity, and access to the controller all perform relatively worse than a Chinese wifi security camera. The temperature accuracy and resolution was over 1C
Ever since the app updated it crashes seconds after opening. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, no change and no response from tech support. I'm unimpressed. UPDATE; Tech support called to inform me of an upate that would address my problem, and it did. 😀
App works (disconnects sometimes but reconnects usually quickly). The biggest problem I have is that alerting doesn't work if the app isn't in the foreground. No temp alerts, no time alerts, no step notifications. PLEASE make this happen!
Was working ok, every once in awhile I had to delete my device and reconnect, inconvenient but not a big deal. But since August update I can't connect at all, even after following all the troubleshooting tips.
I really am impressed with the response from the Auber team. Great communication and I got my issue resolved very quickly. Hard to find fast and efficient customer service.
One thing that would be nice is to be able to control the smoke generator instead of it being full on. Regulating the element in the app would be nice.
Works great every time. The temperature of the large Big Green Egg stabilizes fast and keeps it at the target temp for cooks of 15 hours or more.
Was working great until today. Now 99 percent of the time I get a connection failed error...

Works great for monitoring pit/food temperature changes over time. When you see the fan speed increase gradually over an hour, you know you need to add more wood. It also allows you to configure the controller. Only lacking a notification/alert capability. I would like for it to notify on temperature, but also when fan speed gradually increases, hinting that it is running low on fuel. It would also be nice to know the time of last update.
App works ok. Biggest problem I have with it is if I am away from the WiFi that the controller is connected to and the app refrehes or I restart the app when it starts up t is no longer on line. I can't always be in the vicinity of that specific WiFi so it makes it useless when im not which sucks because I can monitor my Joule sous vide controller with it's app from anywhere but this app is severely lacking. Its like having an drone that can only go as far as the wire it's tetheted to.
I have a Netgear C6300 router and I can not connect to it. I have done everything I know and nothing. It is probably the controller more than the app, but it is not working for me.
Why in the world would this app need full permissions, GPS location. Gallery, contacts, etc? I don't know any growers who would use a temp/rh smart controller that needs all these permissions
Good but crashes a bit, would love to see a widget and taskbar info so I dont have to open the app all the time
App works well and was pretty easy to setup, love being able to check those long term smokes away from the house now. The app does most everything I need but I feel it could use a little refresh it feels a little dated. Some suggestions sound be adding timers in the app and making the main screen more interactive. For example when I click on the temp it should prompt me for a new temp rather than having to open the settings to change it. Same with the other settings where possible.
