We've also included two new ways to search our books. Either scan a book barcode and find it in our catalogue, or simply type the first couple of letters in your search terms. For example, to find The Road Code, simply type "th ro co".

Much better app than the old version. Thank you so much. I actually use it now. Wishlist -would like the ability to see what number I am in the queue on the holds screen without having to click onto each item -not sure how the holds queue is sorted (seems entirely random) but by number in the queue and also some indication on the holds screen whether the book is available in libraries yet or is still on order would be fantastic
Terrible app. It is so slow its is infuriating. It has never ever found a book even when i put in exactly the name of the book. But if i put the same thing into the website it brings it up straight away. Only good for extending time for holds otherwise use the website. Time for a major update
Clumsier to use on a phone than using the phone browser. The display of, and working with, borrowed items showed less information and had less functionality. Uninstalled within 30 minutes.
This app is the slowest ever. I have to sign in to my account and then sign in again. Then if I request a book it requires a third sign in AND crashes. Sometimes it works but not predictably. Such a pity because it van be a great service for users of a terrific library.
It's basically a browser loading the website. I prefer to use my own browser rather than this slow one. Why should I install one more app if it's just a web browser?
At last, an update! Huge layout and style improvement, however searches are still quite slow.
Pretty good app. I would like to see a reading list added, where books for requesting at a later date can be kept.
Having been using website for years, and thought would try this... Agree with others clunky, slow, budget UI, not user friendly... But being designed by/for a council/local govt establishment shouldn't be surprised. Why do govt based organizations make thing so hard/unfriendly? Think I'll revert back to website.
I was expecting this to be awful after reading the reviews, but actually found it pretty easy to get hold of both physical and online copies. Sure it's ugly, but it seems to work well....
A good function is the stored barcode which can be used at self check machines. Unfortunately it sometimes doesn't work
This latest version is definitely a big improvement on the previous version. Remembers your login, and looks much better.
So much faster and more useable than the old app!

So hard to use, not intuitive and very clunky. Not optimised for smartphones, and you have to download additional apps to actually access content.
Great idea and use with functionality, requesting, renewing and hold info but as mentioned terrible user interface, needs a makeover!
The catalogue is great if you know EXACTLY what you're looking for but far too rudimentary to be able to just browse because not all items have plot summaries, or the summaries are inadequate/incomplete. The My Info section is very slow. It's also one of the ugliest apps I've seen. A great idea badly executed.
Ok for basic tasks. Lack of additional filtering could make a detailed search of a well stocked topic tedious.
I prefer the website as the app is clunky, clumsy and too basic. There is no way to browse for books and the my info page is just awkward to use
After fighting with the Ak libruary web site for years, NSC was better (just). What a breath of fresh air
The idea is right but practically not that good. Search wasn't sorted well and when I was requesting a book it kept randomly selecting things I wasn't pressing. Please fix this app

Great to have an app up and running for Auckland Libraries users
the appearance is far better than previous version. the functionality is also improved but could be better, e.g. notification for items due or pick up, ability to view the number of renewal already accomplished etc. the issue is complicated by auto renew built into the library lending system. this confuses things. the best upgrade with this, as far as im concerned is the ability to select multiple items to renew, where previously only one item can be renewed at a time. all in all, good work.
