Long saw the necessity for a translation that captured the truths he liked in the dialect that his contemporaries spoke.For a decade Long and an evergrowing band of like-minded followers drove this basic idea. The passion of 1 man became the passion of any church and the passion of a whole group of denominations ultimately. And lastly in 1965 after many years of preparatory study a international and trans-denominational band of scholars met in Palos Heights Illinois and decided to start focus on the project
- deciding never to simply adapt a preexisting English version of the Bible but to get started on from scratch with the best available manuscripts in the initial languages. Their summary was endorsed by a sizable number of cathedral leaders who achieved in Chicago in 1966.A self-governing body of fifteen biblical scholars the Committee on Bible Translation (CBT) was shaped and priced with responsibility for the version and in 1968 the brand new York Bible Modern culture (which consequently became the International Bible Contemporary society and then Biblica) generously undertook the financial sponsorship of the job. The translation of every reserve was given to translation groups each consisting of two lead translators two translation consultants and a stylistic expert where necessary. The original translations made by these clubs were carefully scrutinized and modified by intermediate editorial committees of five biblical scholars to check on them against the foundation texts and examine them for comprehensibility. Each edited text message was then posted to an over-all committee of eight to twelve associates before being allocated to determined outside critics and all associates of the CBT in prep for your final review. Examples of the translation were examined for efficiency and quality of reading with pastors students scholars and lay down people over the full breadth of the expected audience. Perhaps no other translation has been through a far more complete procedure for revision and review. From the start the NIV sought to bring modern Bible readers as close as it can be to the knowledge of the extremely first Bible readers: providing the perfect mixture of transparency to the initial documents and comprehension of the initial meaning atlanta divorce attorneys verse. I find this to be a great app. It comes with a few features that I haven't seen on others. Example multiple versions of the bible and how the pages of the bible can be automatically moved by a click of the arrow. I also enjoy it having the dramatic and non dramatic readings. I personally think this is the best app I've come across.
Some apps improve slowly over time this one improve d by leaps and bounds. I hadn't used the app for a few days than went back to it and they integrated audio of f line. What a nice surprise. Thank you so much
I love this Bible app and have also had it a long time with no problems. The audio will not work and just says there is a loading error. please fix this. I do not like the other apps available.

Thanking GOD for this Bible Audio App. I enjoy it so much, because its the First One I tried that offers me Options, READ OR DRAMATIZATIONS choices, so for me there are MOMENTS I FEEL I AM IN THE WORDS AND AT THE VERY SCENES!!! I will continue to enjoy this BIBLE AUDIO APP WITH ITS DIFFERENT VERSIONS AND CHOICES TO READ OR DRAMATIZE THE POWER AND COMFORT OF GOD'S HOLY WORDS.
It's not a computer! It's a human giving the story and it's awesome!!! The way the books are presented makes it NOT overwhelming to get through the Bible. The other apps are really good too but this is why I'll use this app!
I like this audio Bible app because there are different Bible versions, also I can repeat one chapter over and over again. Also can repeat one book over again.
it helps with a better understanfing of the bible because it creates the visual images in the mind,and therefore one is able to remember what he or she reads.Its good.
This is now the only Bible app I am using, the narrator's are top notch and the music is amazing, and the sound effects make the Bible really come alive....🐫🐪🏝
I love the dramatization in the NKJV audio bible along with the slow narration of Michael York. It's great for listening at night when I sleep. It's my most favorite audio bible ever! 💖

Love this Bible app. I do encourage developer to add a paid NO Ads option, as well as add ability to change colors by offering different themes.

Beautiful audio! However, sometimes the narator doesn't read exactly what is written.
Since installing this app a few months ago, I have only been able to use it now and again as when I try to access it, I am notified that it has stopped working. Not at all satisfied
This is a good app. I would give it 5 stars if the app will let you highlight verses & PLEASE drop all those dumb ads.

It is an awesome app but if you back out of the app you have to remember were your at because it doesn't save the chapter you are on that is my only complaint

The adverts after each chapter prevent you to press play. Very disturbing and frustrating

Searched many audio Bible apps before choosing this one. It is easy to see a lot of thought and skill were involved in developing it. Things I especially like: Clear directions on how to get max usage verbally and with pics, the narrator's voice is excellent, other individuals speak with their own voices, visually set up so changes can be made on screen easily. It is the most user friendly Bible app that I have viewed. Thank you for your attention to detail. I know I will be using it daily.
