This app was substantially redesigned in the past year or two. Since then it has become difficult to use and unreliable. Often there are login issues. The layout makes it difficult to quickly check lists. It is particularly temperamental with offline use. Update. Now it will not reinstall
Fix this app now. Worked great for about a week, now every time I try to log in I get a message "We're sorry, an internal error has occurred. It will be fixed soon." I can still log in to my account on a web browser, but it is terrible to navigate on a phone screen. The audio content is fantastic, which makes it all the more frustrating that such great clinical pearls are stuck in this malfunctioning app. Fix it.
The content is great and works better with the PC. The app keeps closing and restarting. Also, for some reason if you have a playlist and you have heard a good amount of lectures (doing the peds board review) then you can see just the ones that you completed. The apps works well if you apply the filters.
Lectures are wonderful, with a few minor exceptions. However, its like ordering a filet mignon and it being served with a plastic spoon! The interface is so frustrating. Search function is non intuitive. Its like the same people that created all the bad EMRs created this app. And for $1000 I expected better.
Would love and expect to give it 5 stars given I'm paying for a membership and this is the only way I use AD for CME. However, lectures typically freeze 1/2 way thru and I have to close the app and reload. The app doesn't seem very responsive when selecting options or using the scroll bar to pick back up where the lecture left off. For that matter, why doesn't it resume where it failed? Several minor annoyances that should not exist. I know it isn't my screen. Running Android 11 on a Pixel 4XL.
In addition to what others have said, this as it stands now will not respond to Bluetooth controls in my car or headsets, limiting its use during commuting etc . AD is a good cme service and works really well on a PC browser. When asked support person, they said that unfortunately the Android app is just not as refined or polished as the ios version. Is this acceptable in 2021? Better to log into it through Firefox Android and will respond to play pause, but consider only desktop site shows.
When the app works it is good but my app is glitchy. I have the most problems when running Bluetooth in the vehicle. Often the audio will restart at the beginning instead of starting where I left off. Sometimes the app plays from the beginning and from where I left off at the same time. I restart the app often which is frustrating because it is the only app that costs more than my phone.
This company is awful and seems to find new ways to make things worse. The app is horrible. Save yourself endless frustration and seek your CMEs elsewhere
Good content and the updated app has a better layout, but is plagued with bugs: constantly logs you out, not compatible with android auto/apple CarPlay, dropdown to complete quizzes and feedback isnt user friendly, frequent playback issues. Please fix the app...paid too much money for it to be this bad.
The goal is to learn and get cme, but I can only do 1/2 because it keeps changing my answers on the post test, so I can't pass the test. I needed to go use a browser to pass which defeats the convenience of using a phone app! Please fix!
The app is extremely difficult to use. It duplicates my Playlist randomly and won't sync with the desktop version. It is also difficult to make and sort plaulists. Very frustrating!
Bring back the old app. I have to uninstall the app to stop the app from playing. Content is still great , I just have to reinstall the app to get credit for the CME I performed. Still no way to stop audio play back without uninstalling. Please fix ASAP
Frustrating - rarely works on tablet. Have a little better luck on phone but still glitchy. Both have most updated version. For the price of this CME product the app should be without issues.
OBVIOUSLY not paying attention to the app... Caution: big problems with their new app. I called to discuss concerns I have with their new app with customer service and I was treated like a moron. I really enjoy the service however the current offering on mobile, which is my method of listening, is very poor. The app forgets where you are, if you download an episode to be able to go on a run you cannot remove it... I like audio digest, I like the content... I want the app to work
Horrible interface. Not user friendly at all.
It doesn't open the first time I tap it and sometimes just stops in the middle of a lecture and it is not possible to resume where you were or even find the same lecture on reloading.
Still not updating library. I always have to wipe cache before it will load the latest lectures. Also won't play sound without me opening another audio playback app to get started.
At first the app worked fine but it no longer plays lectures. Just gives me an error message. IPhone app works perfectly. This one is now useless.
Lecture material is fantastic, but the app is just terrible. It crashes every time I use it, at least once through every lecture.
The new and beautiful look is fine, but it's more confusing. I spent 10 minutes after I listened to the lecture before I could find the test.
Locks up or just won't play a full lecture. Overall quality has gone downhill with Audio Digest. This app is just frustrating.
Much better than the older version but few features confusing in terms understanding. Example how to take post test and so on. It would be great if you focus on the user experience like how other google products like Gmail and other apps for the better user experience.
Lectures stop midway for no reason then you have to jiggle position in lecture restart. Interface very poor, divisions for library, playlist, archive make no sense. Why they didn't keep old program interface is beyond me, worked fine. I am still unclear how to download new lectures.
