Audio ESV Free

This is such an incredible resource! Some people may not prefer the style of reading but I say it's pretty well done. I hope future updates will add the ability to seek within a chapter or at least skip back and forth 10 seconds. Also please fix the download viewer as you cannot see within the app what's downloaded.

I'm giving it four stars because for a free app, it works. the author seems to have an updated app called Audio Bible that has other versions, and I'm going to try it now. I wish chapters had the verses to read along with. There's a way to pause it, but there is no way to know where in the chapter you are, to bookmark or save a spot and come back to that spot. The pause works as long as the app is open, but if I accidentally touch another chapter or something, it's lost my place.

This app is totally worth the download. As a software developer myself, I appreciate the effort that went into this. An additional feather that would be nice, is when the app is playing, amd you close the app, the audio continues to play. Thus you must re-open the app to stop the audio. Not sure if this is a bug, or expected.

Great app, very helpful to keep my mind focused as I read. Only reason for 4 stars is the app skips the last few verses in a chapter if the screen turns off on my android. Set my screen not to turn off during a long session and it is great. Thanks to the developer and actor (s) *** Update *** Setting my phone to not do any power saving for this app stops it from skipping the last few words with the screen off. Therefore I updated to 5 stars

Only one version, has background music and is in accented English. If you find background music or accents distracting this is not for you. Also there is dramatization and inflection from the narrator, rather than just a plain reading of the text.

Love this! Max's voice is soithing, enunciation clear and expressive. Books are downloadable and the audio keeps running when minimized. A must have if, like me, your vision is poor. Wonderful app. The only thing I would like is if I could move the app to my SD card to save space Thanks.

Works fine until it gets to Genesis and then it says in the beginning God created in the beginning God created that just keeps repeating over and over. There's something wrong with the app is not working. Correct it keep stopping and jumping book to book in the Bible. Is very very upsetting and confusing

Basic. Extremely basic. Very feature poor. There is no way to find specific scripture within a chapter. I appreciate the clarity of the reader. I appreciate his pronunciation. But clearly they could have offered so many more teachers. Just to be able to go to a specific scripture would be quite helpful.

I am happy to be able to not only go to a specific book of the Bible but also go to a specific chapter. This helps when not reading/listening to the Bible straight thru from Genisis to Revelation. But I do not want to get e-mails or notices from my app, so don't appreciate that feature at all.

Clear and Consistent This is a reliable app. Unlike others it's is never down or have noticable bugs. The voice is clear and appropriate, fit for purpose. I have been using it for quite a long while and can say that this is an excellent app. Five stars!

It doesn't seem to be any way to stop the app in the middle of the chapter if you need to close it down you only have a pause feature and then really frustration from there. Unless you make it really obvious it's hard to find a place to just stop the app when you get a phone call

I absolutely love this app except that I can't see any controls. I even have to shut my phone down to close it. I can see that they are underneath the ad bar but can't get rid of that to access it. Please help!

This is a great audio Bible. It is a great tool to use especially when you are reading those chapters about genealogy and those hard to pronounce names, and it helps when you are going through the sacrificial laws of Leviticus. I think that it helps you get a better understanding when you can not only read it but hear it also. Oh, the narrator is not monotone but has a command of the English language.

I think this is the best translation for the New Testament for conveying the original meanings while being very accurate. The only audiobible I know of with such subtle and unobtrusive background noise/music.

The organization of the app is fine, and I like the ESV. I'm just not a fan of Max McLean. (Sorry Max!) Too dramatic (with the old-time "acting accent" mixed with British accent) and too--I can't find the right word--flowery maybe? Rather than down to earth and real. Not my "cup of tea"!

Most satisfactory in every way. And, I like the reader, his bass pitch, his neutral accent, his pace. And the ESV is great for accuracy and clarity.

Yaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!! Omg, this app is EVERYTHING!!!! What a wonderful app❤👍 I have a very hectic schedule and therefore, I dont have much time to sit down and actually read". However, this app allows me to get the word of God in me while I'm on-the-go!! Also, voice that they've pick to read all the scriptures is very calm and soothing 😇. Thank you Audio ESV Free 👏

Works great, the read voice and presentation is good. God's Word read as I drive, works great to review the work that I read. Does not substitute reading, just helps review. Thanks
