Stopped working suddenly after 2 months. Never worked since. Thought it may have been the cable so I bought a new one. It registered a cable was there and it wasn't the branded one. So it told me to use the original and it wouldn't work. In not even able to find how to uninstall and reinstall. I love my HTC phones so I don't want to change brands. Please fix!

Not only is it bad that a person has use an adapter to listen to music but when you don't even support third party products yet you don't keep your overpriced ones in stock and available it makes for a horrible experience. I've had HTC phones way back to the Hero days but now I absolutely hate this phone I just got 2 days ago. There was no adapter in the box so now I can't use one of the most basic functions for a phone.

The app doesn't let you do anything and it doesn't work. It has no controllable settings, and you can't even uninstall or delete it in case you want to try troubleshooting it or attempt to get it to work via a reinstall. It currently displays the latest update as 1.10.... but mine claims to be running 2.0.... which I can't downgrade or remove.

Disappointing that the adaptor doesn't work since the HTC earphones stopped working and I've had to use regular ones. The phone reads that it's "not supported". I have bought 3 other adaptors and have the same issue so I can't use the earphones or aux :( help me HTC, I just want a little music lol

The adapter only worked for a few days now it rarely even acknowledges that it's plugged into the phone. When it does work, if I even bump the adapter it stops working. And its the adapter that came with the phone. I prefer the standard jack to this nonsense.

The original adapter worked great. It's been 3 years and it's worn it. Where can I get another? Other brands don't work as well, if at all. I've contacted htc and everyone to find one. Htc seems clueless about the software in it. No more listening to music in my car from my phone. Very disappointing. I need a new phone because of this. How sad. Can anyone help?

My audio jack adapter has suddenly stopped working... is it broken, is my phone malfunctioning, or is it this app?... There's no easy way to know without buying a new adapter :-/ HTC should make this app or an update so their phones can be used with 3rd party adapters. I'm never buying a phone without a 3.5mm audio socket again anyway.

I don't know why this app gots so much hate. It's certainly frustrating to use a dongle with your phone. But my HTC phone takes any USB C dongle, I do not know why so many reviews say otherwise. And the HTC dongle works with any other device I own, even the surface. Audio through the dongle does not seem as strong as the HTC 10, I'd imagine it'll have a hard time driving high impedance headphones, but that's it. I took a star due to the obvious downgrade from the output on the HTC 10. Honestly though, IF the HTC dongle was miles ahead of the HTC 10 (which I admit is bar near the Kármán line), I would happily accept dongles, even large ones. This is not the case, sadly. That being said, I'm starting to like dongles, the ability to change the sound signiture on a HARDWARE level is cool, now I just HAVE to get a top notch dongle for my phone.

The HTC headphones are good quality but htc still could do better especially if they are going to update that kills the compatibility with other brands I liked jamming out with my skull candy ink2's now I'm forced to use theirs which like I said are better than OK. that's the kind of thing that could drive customer's away not everyone but when you start to downgrade a good thing that isn't really a good thing.

Have a HTC u11 and both of my HTC aux adapter don't register soi can't use aux cord. I work for AT&T and now I know why we really don't carry HTC anymore. I am not recommending any HTC device when are installed software and company hardware doesn't work.

this is garbage. I'll never support htc again after this stunt. I bought a headphone adapter and an external microphone to get better audio while taking videos. I now know that htc doesn't support 3rd party USBc headphone jack adapters. you guys suck

Great, only problem I had is my dog ate my headphones buy new ones then my dog chewed these up so sometimes my songs pause it skip and my usonic doesn't really enhance my music anymore but I think that's the headphone but great and for people who have problems it's not the app it's how u mistreat the port, my phone has been brokeen and bent in a 45 degrees angle and the screen didn't crack my dad got a bit of water in the USB c port bit for a month my phone said unable to change when it wasn't charging or the USB c port was not in use and my head phone still worked so

WHAT THE HELL HTC!! I bought an htc u play, and by mistake lost those overrated u sonic earphones...now what, I can't use any generic 3.5 mm to type c converter. so now i have to buy the overpriced original one from some other country, also pay importing fees, just because u can't get ur lazy asses to timely update the app?😠😠

New U12, can't even use a generic adapter to plug in my aux. Almost a grand for the phone and we are still forced to buy product specific items for simple uses. Please send out a patch that fixes this.

audio output to my headphones on my u11 using the htc adapter just stopped working. this was once the htc flagship? very disappointed that htc has no solution despite this problem being discussed in multiple forums online. if usb-c audio is really that messed up, why would HTC ever use it? there must be a fix for this.

HTC deployed this firmware patch to block all third parties Type-C Earphones. What a shame? Since when did you care about first party earphone and not the phone itself. You fools, people will stop buying your phones and switch to other brands once they realize they can't use any third-party earphones on their HTC phones. You should remember you didn't give 3.5mm audio port in your HTC Devices and now you do this...what a Stupid move by HTC.

I'm done with HTC after this phone. For some reason I've stuck with them the last 5 years, ever since the HTC One they've been slowly getting worse. This headphone pain in the ass is just the icing on the cake when it comes to my dissatisfaction with HTC

Dan. C. Nov 26, 2019

I am using HTC U11 and the type C port does not recognise any converter for me to use wired earphones. However, managed to solve this by using Lesser AudioSwitch. Please use the app to solve similar issues

Doesn't work, adaptor doesn't register anymore and the only way to listen is the usonic earphones which I don't like. Why can't this be resolved

sha. m. Jul 31, 2019

im depressed because it. i buy many usb type c to 3.5 but no one able to connect with this device. actually i test in other brand is work normally. htc so sucks for this. please unlock lah... i want to used headphone better than ur product. ur usonic is cheap earphone. no one used it lah...

Mar. W. Apr 18, 2020

It used to work and now it doesn't. I can happily use my stock HTC usbc to 3.5mm adapter in other phones but not my own HTC? Ridiculous, update the software or expect your share of the market to decrease further.

Dee. S. Oct 24, 2018

Why are you doing this htc Please add support for third party adapters too since its really not easy to obtain the one of the original adapters. They are either sold out or not avialable in India. Please help i cant use my headphones

Kaz. R. May 3, 2019

adapter has never worked properly, cuts out some of the vocals etc. rendered my expensive headphones useless. this problem is the reason im giving up on htc

Makes my U Ultra, which didn't come with headphones or adapter, useless when I try to use other peripherals. Truly this is ingenuity at its finest, 10/10 definitely not greedy

I got a c-type port. that charging & headphone use the same port hole. The charging works, though the headphones not supporting the headphones no longer. I got good headphones "Razors" anti-Iphones. I had to go to wireless ear buds. Waiting for Game-Stop to supply the Razor's wireless ead buds.

The adaptor you shipped with your own phone doesn't even work anymore. Nice derp moment, HTC. I understand making sure people use proprietary devices, but bricking your *own* gear? Awesome.

My audio jack adapter suddenly stopped working while connecting my U11 to my vehicle and now I am finding there is no way to reinstall this "toolkit". Have no idea what to do now...

Jack adaptor in the process of dying today, Dec 8 2018. I have just polished the contacts with a polyester shirt, rubbing alcohol and a flat bobby pin. Each dip brought more tarry black on the shirt until I just thought..ok that's enough. Changing to 5⭐s as it is not this app causing my problem. I had the phone over a year. What that guy said about 3.5 jack I kinda sorta gotta agree with, since there remains to be a quality, sweat resistant BT headphone design. The sweat (and believe me if you roller blade in summer you will experience it too, the earfoams'll stink after a while at least a month) is not the only problem with bluetooth headphones either. However, as bt phones are an important advance from other remote phone options of the last decades, and the 30 year wait from '83 walkman era to '13 bt era was looooong-- Aaactually take the earfoams off my Pioneer phones, and put them in the wash. My Pioneer bt's have other bad problems. The headband's plastic broke twice, (make sure your band is metal not plastic) the foam lost its fabric and had to be fixed on by clamping the foam under the plastic clip... My molded, rivited, epoxied metal rails (my fix for plastic breaks) beneath the headband leather holds pretty good, but they look retarded and crooked. However my biggest problem with my $75 Pioneers is the audio range is inferior to my $30 wired Sonys. So now I am sort of half-assedly seeking a new pair. Unfortunately they are at least $75 bucks for a low range pair and I bet 90 people can't afford it. --Earbuds cause tinnitus in monkeys.

This app will not allow you to use a microphone to record. Whenever I plug in my usb to 3 1/2 jack, it only believes I have headphones. I have HTC U12

Jam. S. May 25, 2020

Awful design. Won't work with my 3rd party dongle and you can't even charge and listen at the same time with the HTC one. Will NEVER buy an HTC again for this reason alone!
