Audio Profiles - Sound Manager

Impossible to edit existing profiles or to create new ones on a Blackberry KEY2, the relevant buttons close the app. Right after installing it was working as expected, after setting all perms and a restart, the issue is encountered. Also, it regularly disables the DnD mode without reason, on all devices I've tested it on (Samsung A and S phone and tablet series).

This was one of the apps I tried while looking for an alternative to Sound Profile by Corcanoe which charges a subscription to use even the most basic function of manually changing profiles. This app does all that for free with a nice clean interface. There are a few issues I've found but I can live with them for a free app. One, it seems when you select the 'Close main screen' option, the app itself does not close which is a bit annoying. Have to manually close the app on top of it closing the screen. Second, I don't see any option to adjust the call volume by profile which seems to be an option in the other apps of this kind. Third, while this is probably least important, there is no dark theme :( Overall a great app, and I will continue using it as my audio profile manager on my S22.

I ended up having to uninstall this because there were just too many times where it behaved inconsistently and I missed alarms or phone calls or messages. I think having an app like this that works with something as fundamental as a system's notification settings requires a lot more vigilance on the part of the developer to ensure that it doesn't step on the system's own toes which I'm guessing is what was happening in this case. But maybe I'm wrong.

Excellent! I was looking for something that allows different Do Not Disturb settings for calls depending on time of day, and this is it! Allows me to screen all calls except starred contacts at night, and then allows calls only from contacts during the day. No more spam calls ringing my phone. Why doesn't Android have this basic dual-mode functionality with all the spam and fraudulent calls that are taking place these days? At least I can get some peace of mind with this app! Thank you!

I mainly use the app for it's ability to put the phone into silent mode just by plugging in the headphones. It helps a lot in places where you're supposed to make sure your phone doesn't ring out loudly, but you don't always remember to do that. So I was in a bind when the feature I primarily use stopped working after a new update. This was a pretty noticeable bug, I waited for a while for a fix, but judging by the play reviews, it seemed like only a few people were facing it. So I emailed the developer and he had it fixed within four days. Kudos to the dev for the quick support, and I'm glad I got to play a part in this, however small it may be.

Been using for a long time now, cannot fault it, works just as it says, what a great find! Very well designed and easy to use, and the developer is very proactive. Like the single widget to select and change profiles, which works flawlessly, also purchased "silent timer" straight away, would like to see a widget for this, together with more setting options, but understand the developer is looking at this. Ability to select calls during night time (DNS), with volume control works well, altogether very adjustable to suit most requirements. Adding new profiles is simple, I noticed that when playing Bluetooth radio in the car, notification sounds came through, so in seconds made a new profile “Bluetooth Radio” with notification volume to zero – job done, just change back to normal profile through the widget, to whatever you want, for me I had one “Day Time”.

Purchased upgrade so I could schedule automatic changes. However, it never changes on time and I usually have to manually change the profile. If it worked, it would be a simple but effective program. Really miss the Smart Volume Control app by another developer, which is no longer available in the play store.

I had used this for more than 3 years, but on the new s10, it does not accurately move between the different sound profiles based on the schedule I have been using for years. It also gives options for sounds that are not part of the Operating System, so then no sound is made... This made me miss a flight recently.

This app has not worked correctly. My phone is equipped to separate notification and ringtone volume. Other apps I've tried control them correctly. I wanted this app because of the additional features. However, it allows notification sounds when I have the volume at 0 and allows them at max volume when the volume set low at 4.

This is an excellent long awaited all but a few more features will be good. 1. Dual Sim support for ringtones. In profiles we should be able to set separate ring and notification tones both sims. 2. Adjust vibrate with sound setting in profiles. 3. Vibration strength & patterns etc. 4. In profile switcher notification there should be option to open app too.

One of my main apps. I've used this for a few phones now, and I love the unobtrusiveness of just having my settings in the pull-down. I have a quieter "Work" setting that has softer volumes so if someone calls me or if a video accidentally plays the whole office can't hear. Then I have a regular setting, and a silent setting, plus a Loud setting just for Google Map audio directions. I haven't found anything with this amount of functionality.

Doesn't seem to do anything different than what normal settings and DND will do. Was looking for an app to make one contact "always ring" even when on silent. Currently I have DND on 24/7 and my started contact to always ring but this fails if I accidentally have the ringer/volume on silent instead of vibrate or any volume.

The app removes the do not disturb rules you set in the middle of the night for some reason I had to revoke the permissions to make sure that this app is the culprit. Also I hope it had support for dual sim ringtones. I like the idea of the app and I hope these issues can be addressed.

The app keeps crashing without any particular reason even though it has been removed from battery optimization list. The scheduler functionality is idiotic. Everytime I restart my phone, I need to manually launch the app and choose a profile. In that case the scheduler simply does nothing even if the scheduled time has passed.

Most important app for me. I can't use my phone without it. Bought the premium licence to support the developers. I wish it would have the option built in to have a mode where you can allow calls from only certain contacts and stay silent for anyone else. So that I can put the phone on silent and know that only my wife would call if anything. Good to have when you are taking a nap and don't want anyone else disturbing you. Thank you!

Finding issues recently on Android 11 and notification sounds not working. Even when going into the app to change the sounds associated with each profile, I can hear different ringtones but not notifications. Restart of phone usually resolves the issue. Very annoying though because I don't know when it stops working or what triggers the problem

On the new color OS V11 Android selecting a ringtone in the audio profiles editing allows you to select any audio file even custom ones phone users have put on their phone. But when selecting a notification sound ONLY the phone's default sounds can be selected. That is a serious flaw with this app and makes this app rubbish.

Although it's a must have versatile app, still waiting developers response to review and add remaining 3 stars. Feedback: (1) Toggle switch stops working after phone reboot/restart (2) There is no way to hide widget on main screen(in notification pull down) without hiding the "icon" in notification bar. I think toggle to operate + icon in notification to see which profile is active is sufficient, no need for widget in main screen. (3) Scheduler function is complicated for normal user

Worked great until the last update. Now it doesn't change according to the schedule. It looks like it it trying to look for a permission on Oreo that doesn't exist there and should only required on Pie. After removing all permissions, I got notifications fir each missing permission. Two of the notifications only opened the app without any prompt to enable the permission. The other notification took me to app info in settings, but there still was no prompt to enable the permission. After manually enabling the permissions, the schedule started working again.

Installed on my Samsung S9 a few months ago but I'm not sure it's still working properly. When I manually override to another profile it doesn't always seem to change profiles automatically on the next schedule time. Was really pleased with it at first but don't feel I can rely on it now.

App description looks to be able to whitelist applications so i tested it, it doesn't work. The app isn't very user friendly, and the way things are labeled is confusing. All I want is to be able to whitelist specific apps sounds, but this app doesn't appear to do it.

This is a very good app. (I will give 5 stars if the below option is available) But there is no option to turn on and off the vibration for notification. Only available for call. If I turn off "the vibrate for calls" it will not vibrate when there are incoming calls, but it will still vibrate when there are incoming notifications. @developer, let me know if there is a way to turn off and on the vibrations for notification. Thanks!

Pathetic on the recent version. It didnt work good for my esim version of thr mob. I sent email to the developer too so far no responses. Sent few followup emails too. It works only for the default sim.

Excellent app. I use this every day and it works great. The only issue I've run into is that it doesn't seem to detect my Bluetooth headphones being connected and thus doesn't trigger the headphones mode. This might be my headphones at fault though. Still worth 5/5!

Excellent App. Very useful for managing complex audio/visual requitements. For example I can have one tyoe of do not disturb for meetings where I still want to be reminded of coming events, one type for watching a film, and a thrid type for personal study. Really useful.

I wanted to like this app (especially for the tasker plugin) but if it seems that you makes any changes to volumes manually (ie volume buttons or do not disturb, basically anything outside of a profile) you're going to hate this app as volumes will be reset to the levels set on the profile, including overriding do no disturb mode.

This app did exactly what I was looking for. I needed to be able to completely silence my phone for a set period of time and have it restore automatically. If you are like me and miss the old native Android DND controls this is the app you are looking for.

Fantastic app. Exactly what I was looking for. I can customize the profiles however I want. And no ads. Can you believe it ?? Really liked the user interface. It's so simple to use. Really appreciate the effort the developers have put in.

----------------Great app for years, but when upgraded to P, when I change from calls only to Normal, I get no sound for anything, I have to go back and click another profile such as vibrate and then go back to normal to get sounds to work. This only happens when going between calls only and normal Any suggestions?
