Audio Sleep Stories

When it works it's good... a few months ago about 3/4 of the stories would play and they were really good (about 1/4 of them wouldn't play). But now they recently added video ads. They are terrible! The volume is excessively loud, and when it's over the Sleep story doesn't even play. I tried about 6 or 7 of them tonight and only one played. Extremely frustrating! Especially when you're tired! So instead of falling asleep peacefully, I'm awake and cranky reviewing this in the middle of the night.

Buggy app. Stories are good but there is a very loud app right before they play, not relaxing! The stories stop after about 3 to 5 minutes. Sometimes you can get them to go again and sometimes you cannot & have to start from the beginning again. The stories themselves (the few I got to hear) were good but you spend too much time messing with the app instead of relaxing. Also did not seem to work offline for me. Deleted the app.

Out of all the free sleep apps out there, this is the one I use the most! The ads will pop up, but you can to close them w/o having to wait for the ad to finish like other apps do- the ads do not interrupt once you've starting playing a track, which is great! Lots of content, but they don't seem to add new content really. Overall, it's easy to use & pretty decent for a free app.

What is going on with this app? I have been using it for months and have grown to love it. The last two weeks can not get any of the stuff to play. Adds pop up instead, very loud, then freezes the whole app. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted phone, nothing is working. Come on and fix this please because I really do love this app.

I like these stories much more than the other apps I've tried and it's free. There is a wide variation in types of stories and in narrators, which is nice. There are a lot of ads and sometimes it's glitchy, but still worth it. My only request is can you guys make it so that you can take stories off of the favorites list??

Personally not had an issue with the app. You press a story, you get an advert at the start of it and then that's it. I personally don't like most of the stories, but that's a personal preference thing. It's my new go to since Headspace made all their stories paid subscription only. I would say if you use a lot of them and can afford it then it's probably worth paying for a subscription from Headspace or Calm, however if you're like me and only use 1 or 2 then this is great.

I've been using this app for nearly a year and it never wants has failed me. It gently helps me fall asleep every night and if I wake up in the middle of the night I can hit play again and boom back to sleep I go. When I find a particular reader whose voice I particularly like I can search by that person and find more stories that they've read. This app gets too big thumbs up.

Doesn't work. As with most of the apps which basically just copy a bunch of stories from paid apps like Calm, this app is really buggy about actually playing a story when you press play. Tested about 10 times, only 1 time it actually played (after buffering for quite a while). Uninstalled, and the search for a free or low-cost sleep stories app continues (Calm making it far too hard to opt out of data sharing...)

Can hardly make a story play! They stole nearly all of the story's from another app called calm(calm is amazing best sleep ive ever had with it)! Stories won't play and my sound doesn't work on this app! So many bugs, using this app makes my phone go to 100% to 30 in 10 minutes. Do not download this app, Ive had the worst sleep in years. Download calm because it has all these stories that actually PLAY and more. Please fix all the bugs and get your own stories and maybe I'll redownload(unlikely)

I love this app. I am in my late 60's, and have always had trouble to get to sleep. But all I do now, is put the headphone on, pick one of the noises, e.g. crickets, or rain in the city, and before I know it, I'm asleep. At the beginning I would use the stories and they were extremely successful. This is a truly great sleep aide for all ages.

Absolute favorite app ever! The stories are great and I've been listening to them for a long time now. Recently started using the meditations and I have never slept better! I've noticed a few new stories, please add more if possible!

Terrible! I would give it Zero Stars! Plays an ad right before the story and the story didn't even play! I tried to cut my volume down on the ad and it wouldn't let me! It wouldn't even let me skip it! Don't bother downloading it!

The app doesn't work well. The stories dont start and I had to download an app for it to work multiple times. I dont really reccomend because it's really buggy and there was only one that worked. It was supposed to last 45 mins but it barely lasted 10.

Please get rid of the loud ads. Especially the jangly/casino ones. I understand that ads are why the app is free but the last thing that I need as I am getting ready for sleep is loud and/Or jangley noises. Love the variety of stories and voice available.

This could be a great app if the stories didn't cut out after 9 minutes. I just start to relax into another world and it's gone. What is the point of having dozens of stories lasting up to 40 minutes if no one can listen to them?

None of the stories work, all I get is an ad and after that it shows the button pause as if a story is playing but it's not. Once I click pause, nothing happens.. Wish I could give 0 stars, waste of time

LOVE this app! Wonderful variety of great sleep stories told by an amazing array of talent. Never fails & I wake up happy .Free, with 1 short ad before the stories begin you won't believe all the seriously amazing & famous storytellers! This will make you look forward to bedtime & turning off the distractions that normally keep you awake:) sweet dreams!

Never had a single story play. Hit play and the circle would spin and spin...nothing. The only thing that works on this app is the adds. Would have loved to hear the stories. Many looked interesting. Guess I will continue to search.

I love it but I personally think it could only be a bit better like sometimes for longer stories like little mermaid it will just stop or when I fall asleep for one I wish I could go forward on the stories so I could get back where I start also any ads I get are extremely load but anyone speaking is extra quiet

Could not get stories to continue playing. Story would stop and play an ad. Then the story wouldn't continue. I hit play and it would start all over again. Very glitchy.

A must! The stories are incredible I myself have no problems with it. Stories play all the way through. Thank you for such a wonderful app!! Absolutely, wonderful Meditation series and its free such a wonderful App!

Developer please comment ! Why does this app STOP after so many minutes??? Its impossible to use because you just get into the story and it starts lagging. And lagging. Doesnt start again. Not conducive to relaxation at all. If this did not happen id love it the stories are great. Id pay for an upgrade!!! Whats going on ?

I love the sleep stories... they relax my mind and lull me to sleep. Can't believe this free app contains so much! Sleep stories, meditation exercises and relaxing music. Thank you for this gift of relaxation and sleep.

Great app for free sleep stories. You have a short add at the start but it's carefully selected to be calming and can be cut after 5 seconds.

I love the enticing stories every night! But when the story is paused, it restarts. I'd appreciate it if you could fix that as soon as possible. Thank you.

I was sceptical initially but seeking non-pharma asisstance getting to sleep. I in no way claim this to be a sleep aide, but OMG it such a lovely experience lisentening to these stories. Beautiful in content and presented so soothingly, the stories have most definitely helped ease my sometimes overwhelming anxiety. I highly recommend it. PS All of humanity needs to listen to "Wonder" told by M. McConaughey. Correct me if I'm wrong...😉

It would get 5* if I just rewind and fast forward. It drives me mad that if I fall asleep 20 minutes in, I have to restart the whole story again.

I go to sleep instantly when listening to all these different stories though I do wish for the stories to load faster and to get rid of the ads.

I had this app installed and it worked grat for a month or so. Then just quit working stories do not load or play. Uninstalled then reinstalled. Still not working. I am very disappointed. Loved the app when it worked. Hence the 2 stars.

Love the app. I bounce between this one and Headspace. But Audio Sleep Stories doesn't cost me 80$ a year. Won't be renovating Headspace membership. And please, lunch more breathing exercises for sleep. ^_^
