What's with the bad reviews? This is just an app that allows your to configure your earphones' settings, nothing more. Daddies, chill.
Some things are a little hard to find but it's easy to use and very adjustable.
At the best this app is almost completely pointless. All it shows is the a slightly more accurate battery level than the one built into android, and the option to switch codec which can be done in developer settings. That would be okay if the app could actually find my headphones all the time. Most of the time when opening the app with the headphones connected the app tells me it can't find any and that I have to turn the headphones off and on again for it to work.
Excessive unnecessary permissions, and only if allowed works well. I don't want product locator, but I do want to configure the ATH-ANC900BT which I paid good money for. Why must I enable GPS to fine tune noise cancelling, or read through the user guide, or skip songs?!? It's a very bad form to infuriate your paying customers with crappy app design.
I have the m50BT, and this app simply won't connect. I've gotten it to work exactly once, but aside from that one miracle it never connects. The app will actually detect my headphones and act like it is about to connect, but fails every time. Even if it did connect, as far as I can tell, the only useful thing about the app is seeing the battery life of my headphones. Aside from that, I didn't find it useful at all (that is, the one single time it actually connected). This app is hot garbage.
the settings app. they have noise canceling!!
I really want to have some equaliser or preset setting for my earbuds. Of course Audio-techneca have their own sound, but mostly it is more "natural" with lowered bass setting. I want to have a chance to choose other frequency mode using Audio-technica earphones. Most of audio corporations have equaliser or preset settins in the connection application. Please, just add this to your software and thats it. It will he perfect
Recently purchased the M50xBT they are absolutely great but am quite let down by the app... Needs more polish... Its a shame that such an amazing product is let down by a simple, barebones app...not that it doesn't do what its supposed to... I just think it could be a lot better,it could do with widgets, an integrated EQ, (maybe customizing on and off sounds) and with the possibility of firmware updates you could give a lot more customization options ... Headphones 10/10. App 2/10
Good for updating firmware and locating your headphones, but no equalizer or anything like with the Sony app. I didn't experience any trouble updating the firmware, the last step says to plug the headphones into a laptop using the USB cable to finish the update. I left it plugged in for a 5 minutes just to be sure and everything works fine. Still need to check if the update fixed my mic issues though.
For an app that's supposed to work alongside both my $300 and $150 headphones it is unacceptably bare of features. At the very least you'd expect to be able to view the devices pairs to the phone when they aren't active but nope the only way to access any information on them is with them on and connected.
Sub-par experience. Needs to identify the device quicker and add an EQ to be a passable app. It updated my headphones' firmware upon download which took a little while but at least it did it. It takes forever to open and identify the device and fails to identify it half of the time anyways when all I wannna do is check the damn battery percentage! Something hopeful and nice would be a 1x1 or 1x2 widget to show the headphones' battery percentage on my home screen
A waste of time This app offers almost no function. The number one use of an app for earphones would be an equalizer or sound presets at least. Furthermore, the button mapping on the earphones are terrible, it would be great if we could reconfigure them sonehow. Come on guys, step up your game!
For ATH-ANC900BT: The app options enabled for this model are very basic as compared to M50xBT2. Whereas, in reality M50xBT2 is just a catchup of ANC900BT features. In reality both sound exactly the same, 1 with ANC and other without. Please enable same app features for ATH-ANC900BT as of M50xBT. It is not a big deal. I don't care how you market your product on box. When we pay equal or more amount for this set than others, we need you to provide us in your app the same options too.
I wanna know why doesn't this app connect or have option to connect ATH-ANC500BT headphone. Isn't it better if all the audio technica wireless head phones had proper controls to equalize the audio. I love the headphone but It's has little to too much bass and I wanna reduce it a bit. Hope the app gets updated soon. Thank you.
I wanted to adjust the sound and was not able to find the "EQ" for the ATH-SR50BT in the app. I removed the app off my phone after that. It shows one for the ATH-m50xBT2.
The most disappointing part of audio technia and why many leave the brand. Software is not their strong suit. There is no innovation on their products besides their spectacular hardware. This app is the epitomy of their lack of software capability and could seriously penetrate the market if they took effort into it.
Gr8 2kno where my audio's are, but since I Wear them 8hrs everyday, pretty hopeless 4me. App supposed To improve my listening experience,,, how? It hasn't added equaliser, no customin key controls, reduce delay on long press of buttons,,, nil, zero, nadda. It's like owning orsum tv but it's got crappy remote..... Shame
App won't connect to my headphones
GPS is absolutely worthless, lost the device in my own home apparently and it's impossible to find because unlike Apple, they didn't make them have a chirp to find option. Thanks, not like those were a lot of money or anything and less than a year old.
