Audio Test Tone Generator

I like to play noise and tones on top of other sounds playing from my phone, so it would be wonderful to have a feature that would allow me to set the volume inside the app, independent from my phone's volume

Fantastic. Mono output is correct to avoid level differences in the phones soundcard. Select output channel(s) with your external DSP. Speaker volume is managed with the phones hardware volume buttons. Exit the app with the Multi-app menu on the phone. And... No ads. Thanks a million.

I've tried so many different tone generator apps and this one takes the cake. Super simple UI, love the explore feature with course & fine adjustment. Works great on all my android devices.

Slightly better than the other free apps with regard to popping, but there is still the occasional pop when stopping the tone.

I really like the flexibility of this app. I especially like the presets, so you can easily go to the standard frequencies, and then use the course and fine adjustments to zero in on a particular frequency. Nice job.

Can't quite give it 5 stars due to the pop that happens when you stop a tone that's playing. Fix that and it's a totally solid 5!

Limits only to human audio range... useless if u wanted to use it on post 20khz

Works great on Nexus 6. I can't get over how much I love this app, it does absolutely everything I need a tone generator to do, in an optimal, efficient way. It's the best tone generator I've ever used. I wish there was a Windows port of this app. Useful for calibrating anything you can play it through to and hear and adjust the sound of. Very helpful app.

I needed to troubleshoot a sound board and forgot to bring my adapter cable. This sound generator saved the day and was super easy to use...love it!

Profoundly disappointed: all comes out mono, I can't select channels. Want to check R/L crosstalk levels or see if a speaker is working correctly? Want to see if the subwoofer is only getting one side? You're out of luck with this app.

Does everything I need for calibrating headphones with sine sweeps and brownian noise. Also fun to play around with.

I love the application but it won't let me close. Therefore I'm giving it 2 stars and deleting it. An app that hijacks your device is useless.

Does JUST and EXACTLY what I wanted it to do. I'm an Amateur Radio Operator who runs RTTY (Radio Teletype) and I need access to a tone generator so I can tune-up my equipment. K2EAA

This is better than paid apps. I work in an audio warehouse and our hardware sweeper died. This was great in a pinch. It allows me to sweep manually, smoothly without constantly spinning my finger.

Everything works fine, except, closing the app down, it always shows on my phones pull down menu after using it, until I restart my phone(or use a kill process app).

I used it with a frequency counter and the precision is just about +/-2hz at 20khz (square wave)

Solid basic tone gen. Coarse and fine tuning allow you to home in on problem frequencies. Noise warning is also good design. Highly recommended!

Extremely useful for stereo setup, and brown noise is a great sleep sound.

Please allow option to remember and use last settings instead of defaulting

Simple and elegant. Nothing gets in the way and it just gets on with the job of generating sound frequency waves.

Currently, this has become my primary D.I. line audio test for work.

Awesome app. There's a pop sound whenever I change the frequency. Would love to see (or hear. Ha!) it fixed.

Could do with export wav / mp3.

May be it works but I cannot set 44k with 24bit to check the v20 delivery.
