Audiobook Player

Great app, even considering the price! One thing I have a little trouble with is getting the cover art to show up in book selection screen. Only a few of my titles are displaying their associated art. Other than that, it does what it says, and does a pretty good job. At times, the playback gets interrupted with a notification and starts skipping. In those cases, I just rewind one tap and it corrects itself.

If you are looking for a small-footprint audiobook player, this is it. My favorite features: automatic bookmarks. Never fumble to find where you left off. Sleep time. Go to bed listening, tell it how long to play. Ability to move anywhere within a file. Plays mp3s. Not tied to a service. Play and pause from lock screen. All common-sense features, but rarely implemented. Bravo

As others have mentioned, there is an absolute app-breaking bug. At least when playing through Bluetooth, the audio begins to stuttering when paused and played again (which includes audio notifications). This is a well-designed piece of software, so I hope they fix the issue sometime soon. I really want to like this app but the stuttering absolutely breaks it for me.

good app. big fan of no advertisements and no in-app purchases. taking off one star due to the following bug (which i also sent an email about) bug: the last few seconds of audio are cut off for each chapter. for example, if the mp3 file ends with the reader saying 'and this is the end of the chapter', then in the app you will hear 'and this is' then immediately it will jump to the next chapter. the audio plays all the way through in other audio apps. i suspect this is due to my playback speed being at 1.2x.

I really do like the app, but there are a few glitches. 1) If another program interrupts the playback with an audio notification, when the player resumes, the audio goes in and out. I discovered that if I skip 10 seconds back, the playback will resume normally. 2) If there are folders numbered over 10, the app will not play them in numerical order. 1-9 won't follow sequentially. It's more like: 1,10,11... & 2,20,21... 3) It doesn't always continue where i left off. maybe 1 day behind.

Very obnoxious on my note 8. When listening on a sped up mode, anything from 1.1x to 1.5 it plays fine. Until the play is interrupted by any other audio event on my phone, like a ring or notification, then it switches to unlistenable chopiness. Also, I can never close the app without force closing it. It just runs and Android alerts me that it is still using battery even when not playing.

I really like that this app is small, simple, and ad free. My only issue with it is the audio studders after receiving a notification. Has to be paused and restarted to fix it. I have to switch apps untill this issue is resolved as it makes it distracting to use while driving.

Almost great. Very simple/spartan UI (a good thing). Manages audiobook library after you point it to the root directory. Simple short rewind/fast forward buttons. However, rewind will not span MP3 file boundary, but FF does. Also, no good progress indicator for entire book when in book view, although it has a pie graph indicator on each book showing book progress when in library view. Playback speed feature nice to see in a free app.

This app was awesome, before I loaded a book with odd file names. Plz fix sorting. Because now it's 10 010 and right after this 100 100, which is definitely not the the next clip. So all the order is completely messed up. Could you please add sorting options or tell me how to sort clips in a fast way (renaming files is not an option). Thanks.

This is a great app for listening to downloaded mp3 audiobooks. It remembers where you left off each time it is opened, and the playback speed options are what make it so appealing to me so that i can get through the books faster. I'd highly recommend this app for audiobook listeners.

This app organizes and allows me to play the audiobooks downloaded on my phone. The bookmark feature and percentage completed display are helpful. That's it, and that's all I needed. No ads or upgrades. Doesn't require an account or a ton of permissions. Perfect score from me.

Good app, but it has a few bugs. For example, widget buttons weren't working at first time. Had to delete the widget and add it again. Also, it would be cool to have a little more customization, like color, opacity, etc.

Love that it recognizes different file types. My only qualm is when my phone gets a notification, or I pause and hit play from my headset, the audio breaks about every 3 seconds until I pull my phone out and hit the "rewind 10 secs" button. I get quite a few notifications :(

It is nice that it automatically bookmarks the spot where one left off. It would be even better if each book in same series appeared separate, rather than combined together into one continuous. Thank you for the app. Overall it's good.

It plays well enough, 80% of the time, but it does get glitchy and can only be fixed by restarting the app, and going to automatic scan and then continue. It's a pain to do that, but then it works fine for another week or so.

great audiobook that is pretty easy to use just find the root of the files that you have your audio book but only minor complaint is that as you switch audios eg jump to music player or on youtube it and go back to the audiobook player it starts to stutter and only to fix it is to stop and start it again other than that it's pretty good

Not as good as Ambling, but Ambling is gone. Needs to add series grouping. Needs to add sort by author. Needs to add playback options like resume after call, etc. Stops playing on every notification, requiring you to pull out your phone and start it again.

The app would be perfect except for one thing. After any notification it starts stuttering and you have to pause and resume playback. An annoyance that gets worse as it keeps happening.

It's an alright player, only things that bother me are that it tends to randomly stop playing from time to time. Also when you stop playing the book and try to play it again, it starts playing from a different place that was already played.

Great app, but there's one issue. If you are listening to a book via bluetooth and receive a notification on your phone, the audio starting to jump from play to pause once a second.

Pausing the player and then hitting play again causes it to stutter. I have to pause and play it multiple times in order to get it to stop. and also does not read separate folders. I will probably switch to something else.

Great, but please add option for automatically skipping silence during playback. And very importantly, add pitch black theme usefull for all the phones with amoled display or anyone else who is anoyed by the bright screen during night usage. Thanks.

Can't read the full name of my bookmarks because of screen width, and can't rotate app screen to read them either. I have to go on rename dialog to see the full name. Other than that great app!

Very good app for enjoying an audio book. It remembers where you left off, bookmarks easily, has good audio quality and organizes my library so books are easily found. I recommend it!

Great app, no adds and it got the setting to change the playback speed. It would be great if the app can show total time of a book which have multiple files.

Simply it's an awesome application which I really like and use; but recently after my firmware update, book playback won't pause for phone rings. I hope this problem gets fixed soon so I'll be able to use the application again.
