Well, I decided to ignore all the negative reviews; because it seems very few people are actually "technical". Anyway, I also could not get this to work initially; but I realized the problem was not having Xposed in order to set the delay. It is not perfect; but it is the only option now that various apps do not have "Bluetooth Phone Call" in their settings So what am I working with? --Phone: LG V20 - H918 --Android: 8.0 --Car: 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L Solution: Basically, DO NOT install from the Google Play store. DO NOT use the Xposed module in the app. I could not get this to work properly until I installed the Xposed Framework v90 from XDA-Developers. I then installed AudioBT from the Downloads section in the Xposed app 3.1.5; which made the Delay Options available as I am also rooted. Once I confirmed that the audio sounded better with the delay, I bought the PLUS version and I am just happy to get Turn-by-Turn on my Honda CR-V thru my speakers. You will notice some "empty cuts" but you need to disable Audio Cues and all other nonsense within the Nav App and stick to Voice or Alerts. It is not perfect and this app needs to be updated to maybe "buffer" the audio so it comes out as one continuous stream. Nav apps will disconnect the bluetooth call if the Voice takes a small pause before announcing next step, like "In 300 feet ... Turn Right" which cuts the audio into two "calls". This is the Nav app's fault; but maybe this developer can find a way to "buffer" and "cut any silence" gaps. Still, AWESOME APP and worth the 2$ to help him get motivated in enhancing this App to "fix" the Voice gaps and maybe allow us to specify WHAT bluetooth devices to Auto-Start and Stop on. This is our only hope right now as Google has chosen to stop supporting Bluetooth Phone Call in Google Maps. I noticed this works best with Waze although you will have to get something to increase the Bluetooth volume; because it comes in really low although no "chopping". Perfect...
Works as described but I can only give 2 stars. Start of audio clipped. "Don't reset SCO" doesn't help on my S8 Android 8.0. Exposed module / rooting not good workaround. Need buffered audio. It's only mono LQ? Also need to select which paired bluetooth. In my case "CAR AUDIO". Would purchase with these changes.
Works perfect for about a minute or so then it stops. Tried to find if it was something in my phone settings but couldn't find anything. Hope you get the bug fixed cause it's exactly the app I need for my navigation app.
App works great, but the only flaw i am experiencing is that part of the google voice is cut off. eg "turn right on wilson street" comes out as "on wilson street". Any reason why thats happening? Aside that, this app is great. 2010 nissan maxima.
This app does not work as discribed. It works after phone is turned off and restarted for like 5 mina. Don't waste your money.
Interrupts radio fo no reason. Also interferes with OK Google voice. Paid for it but uninstalled after 2 days.
Got a new Ford and this us the first app that seems to give the driving directions over the radio. Have not used it a lot yet but adding a 3000 ms delay was the trick for me
my only question is, when I go into my tts settings, why does it say it will collect my credit card information? that seems a little sketchy
Sure it's a great app from other reviewers comments, but as with similar apps that try and tweak the BT on my Cubot X6, it just crashes the phone and reboots it. Phone also heats up a lot below the back camera which doesn't happen when bting to other devices (speakers etc). Android KitKat 4.4.2
Works on nexus 4. Get the enhanced add on set delay to 1 second. I have been looking everywhere for an app that interrupts my FM radio and plays my phone GPS directions on radio. So easy I don't know why it took so long for someone to make this. 2 dollars coming your way bro. Still a little buggy, you need to add command to end call. Phone stays on after I hear the GPS.
I would love to have this, however it does not work on my HTC One: it worked briefly after some trying/restarting but for the rest, audio is always routed to the phones internal earpiece speaker. Any ideas how to fix this?
Use it in my jeep and note 4 it works 50/50 not worth the buy
Just wish I could make it work better with Waze and hear the whole command
If btmono doesn't work then audiobt won't either. ERROR: unable to play during call. MY DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy SII Android 4.1.2 Bluetooth mono
Very good software
Have a Galaxy S4, installed this app and tried both Waze and Google Maps. Works but many of the voice prompt words are cut off so it's worthless. Even after installing the advance TTS suggested on other sites. Can't recommend this for Android users, forces everyone to use Apple;e if they require this functionality.
Frankly given the well known problem of clipping of audio messages, the limitation of only five played is way too low. There is no way to tell how long the messages are clipped and if I want to buy the full version from hearing only two or three partial messages, and I'm not going to fumble with my phone while driving to restart the service.
This was a great app to complement Waze making it possible for me to receive voice guidance through my normal radio broadcast in the car. Similar to the way Waze works on the iPhone. Unfortunately when my phone (Samsung Note 2) updated to Android 4.3 it became distorted and uncomprehensible. Due to other performance issues since my update to 4.3 I did a factory reset to my phone and now it is completely unusable, it will not play the voice guidance at all although I can still hear the guidance in the backgrounf if I am running the "Audio test ON" loop.
I have a note III Verizon and found only 2 apps capable of doing this. BTaudio and SoundAbout. Admittedly having problems with both. I've read that Android 4.4.2 has some issues with blutetooh, so It's hard to rate when not fully working. If this app can successfully transmit driving instructions from Google Maps and / or audio as a phone call to car stereo without chopping anything off, I'd rate it a 5. However, as of now, it CAN NOT. Hopefully it will soon?
The removal of the TTS engine has made this useless for me, sadly. Doesn't work for my m919 S4 kitKat 4.4.4 via service at all, but worked perfectly with separate TTS engine. Any chance of getting 3.1.7 as a sideload, so Play doesn't keep breaking it with an "upgrade? (I bought plus version)
Finally got it to play Waze thru my car stereo, but I was unable to answer any incoming call which just kept ringing constantly till my phone crashed while driving leaving me with no communication. A good idea that doesn,t work with my Samsung S5......unless someone can tell me if I did anything wrong, or there's a work around.
Using this to route Waze through my cars bluetooth from my Galaxy Nexus. The two major issues with this are the clipping of the first part of all the Waze notification, so instead of getting "police reported ahead" you just get "d ahead". The enhanced TTS delay doesn't seem to help i guess since its not TTS its just audio, would be nice to delay the audio in the same way. The other issue is having to close it every time I exit my car or i dont get any notifications. Is there not a way to have it auto close when bluetooth disconnects?
Kept crashing and wouldn't play anything thru BT anyways.
Cuts the beginning of the audio on Google Maps. Defeats the purpose
Voice prompts clipped. Frustrating
GOOD Application
It works great for the first few directions, then it just stops; I have almost missed my turns/exits because the navigation is not being spoken out anymore. About to Uninstall and try to find something else. The vehicle I have makes it I can't hear the maps directions on my phone due to car takes over audio, but this app stops announcing navigation.
