Great premise, and I would have loved it. However, it is not possible to access all content in Tidal. More specifically, one can only access full-length albums, not EP's or singles. Are there any plans of updating the app with this feature soon? This is obviously a deal-breaker, and I will return the device if not. Also; it would have been nice to be able to sort favorite music alphabetically by artist, chronologically and reversed chronologically wrt time added. Contrary to what other are complaining about, I had no problems installing the device or using the app.
App keeps crashing. Every 2-3 weeks, for some reason it won's play Deezer (logs it ou by itself), deny's loging in again. At that point VTuner stops working also. In some cases it plays Deezer and Vtuner in the same time (overlapse one another). They say you can play music from NAS, but there in no option to connect any type of external music source (appart from predefined). Everything strarted crashing when the latest update (Audiocast S) was released. Fix those bugs!!!
App is ROUGH. Perfect for Spotify users. I'm on Android. Cannot cast or control music from any app other than Spotify. HiFi seekers are out of luck. I would not ever want to use any of the other available services besides Spotify because they must be controlled through the app which is very poorly made. Very low quality UI and glitchy.
God-awful experience - shameful that zero stars is not an option. I would say that it is garbage, but some garbage can be useful - this cannot ever attain utility...five (5) attempts across two devices to get the app to sync with the device - the result: FAIL. Every. Single. Time.
App was awesome. Lastest update has many bugs. It will not find my speakers. I have another phone where i didnt update the app on aug 16 and it still has no problems finding the network speakers. The work around i found was to connect to the speaker's via wifi and control it through the app individually. I have a set of indoor pyle ceiling speakers and a set of pyle outdoor speakers.
Used to connect from phone easily. Now doesn't connect at all. My phone's wifi picks it up, but still no connection. Too bad, looks like I may have to go back to Chromecast audio. 2nd review-been months since last review. Still not working and mo support!
It used to work perfectly in my home in the Netherlands. I did not use it for several months and now, in my new home in Finland, I can only get one station to play, it does not react to any touches, and Spotify does not work at all anymore. I think a serious bug has appeared in one of the last updates. Please fix it
Why not just use a Bluetooth receiver?? Was given one of these streaming units...I have to confess I don't know the practical use of it, app has a very small number of approved sources that you can stream audio from... you can't stream audio from your browser or YouTube or Amazon or Google or Audible or almost anything you'd ever want to use... oh well...
crappy app, constantly crashing. crappy hardware due to lack of flexibility in finding where you have your music stored. It can't find my music on my servers and there is no way to tell it where it is on network.
Very good device.. App is quite bad. Can't add to playlist from NAS..jumps back to root folder. Can't go previous folder. Other than synchronisation of 2 M5, Hi fi cast pretty much does everything better.
Two streamers attached to Ion portable speakers for synchronous wifi audio. Plays music from my DLNA enabled Plex server, Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, and iHeart radio. App needs ability to access music sources to update playlists even if not connected to the streamers.
Works great by itself. Would love to see integration with PowerAmp. Or, at least, offer a way to turn off shuffle/repeat in the internal player...
tunein just gives me a load fail no matter what station I try to select. It started doing this recently. I have 6 audiocast devices and all do the same.
Can't cast from Spotify anymore. Device won't show up as a device to cast to. Tried Pandora same issue. Works fine from the application.
The app cannot use with Android but it work well with iTunes. Only play music in the device, Spotify and other apps are not working.
Ok I'sh. Does allow playback from YouTube, Google music, very limited. Could not see dlna/Upnp server or interact with media server in home. Would like to see this app link to other apps like a service such as Bubble Upnp, or YouTube as this is ones main access to music.
Can't see content on my NAS which is DLNA compliant. Doesn't allow password access to remote storage. Just doesn't work with dlna compliant external storage.
Why did you drop pandora. Its the only thing i use, and now my device now is useless to me. PUT IT BACK! You added pandora back. Im so happy!! This works so much better than bluetooth, and now i can use not again. Thanks so much!
not working woth Spotify, neither tunein, local music library plays only on song and stops even in playlist, you have to hit play for each song.
Works pretty well, but OTA update isn't working. One of my audiocasts is still on 3.6.431.0 and won't update - please help? Will 5 star if I can fix this :)
Pandora no longer available? All of a sudden, Pandora is missing from the app. Why? This is the only streaming service we use in this app, so now it's useless to us. Please fix!
Installed easy per instructions. Plays from all my mac apps via airplay. Phone app works well. Nice gadget. Nice app, well done. Fail to understand what all the bellyaching is about.
Good sound quality. But not support chromecast. Please add Yandex music support! PS. Big plus - radio channels!
App is on Google Play Store but I don't know if it can actually stream Google Play Music. Still looking for information on this. So far. No luck. If not, that would be a deal breaker.
The best feature of this app is the ability to link two or more AudioCast receivers for multi-room play. As AudioCast M5 shares a common hardware chip with iEAST and Pyle PWF123 units, this app and feature works with them as well.
Beyond terrible. I've tried every possible method to get the app to recognize my Audiocast device but it never does. I am at a loss. Going to return the device and never think about it again. What a joke.
